Las siguientes son quejas reportadas por consumidores y presentadas ante NHTSA. Son alegaciones no verificadas y no son prueba de que exista algún defecto.
1. The vehicle suffers from a recurring parasitic battery drain that results in a completely dead 12V battery after the vehicle sits for short periods. This appears to be a software or hardware failure in the Body Control Module (BCM) or Radio Frequency (RF) Hub that prevents the vehicle from entering 'sleep mode.' The vehicle is currently at the dealership getting looked at. But I can have it available for inspection upon request. 2. I regularly commute between Orange County, CA, and Las Vegas, NV. This route involves long stretches of remote desert (I-15) with extreme temperatures often exceeding 100°F and limited cell service. A recurring, unpredictable battery failure in these conditions creates a life-safety risk, as it can leave a driver stranded without climate control or the ability to call for help in a high-heat environment. As a medical professional, the lack of vehicle reliability also impacts my ability to reach clinical assignments safely. 3. Yes. The issue has been documented during three separate service visits to an authorized Ram dealership. On each occasion, the battery was found to be depleted below functional levels. Despite these visits and attempted 're-flashes' of the software, the parasitic drain persists. 4. The vehicle has been inspected and 'serviced' three times by authorized manufacturer representatives (certified Ram dealership technicians). 5. Symptoms first appeared the day after I purchased the vehicle. There were no dashboard warning lights until the battery was too low to crank the engine, at which point 'Electrical System Service Required' and multiple sensors failure errors appeared. I am aware of TSB 08-380-25 (which specifically addresses the BCM re-flash for battery drain) but that it has failed to resolve the issue after three attempts.

My vehicle has experience repeated electrical system failures resulting in no-start condition and a loss of reliability. The first incident was in Nov 2025. The vehicle would not start after being parked at work from 0630-1530. The batteries had been drained due to what the dealer identified as a radio frequency module issue. The technician explained it to having gotten "stuck" in update mode. The vehicle was under warranty at the time and required a replacement of the module and two new batteries. I asked what I should look for in case this happens again in hopes of getting it to the dealer before it drains the batteries and I was told there are no real indicators. Early in April, the auto started not working consistently and the FOB would not open the doors. I replaced the battery in the FOB but the issue continued. Since that time I have monitored the voltage gauge. The vehicle was taken to the dealer again mid-April. The tech said he could not get the auto start issue to duplicate, stated there were two software updates that they updated and that it should be good to go. Monday, April 27, 2026 I parked the truck after work with the voltage reading 14.3. Tuesday, April 28, when I attempted to get in the truck to go to work at 0615, the failed to start or respond to the key FOB in any way. Once again, the truck was towed to the dealer where it is currently. The tech has stated they are having to replace the batteries again. This pattern indicates an electrical system failure due to battery drain and repeated no-start conditions. The failures occur without warning and have resulted in the vehicle being inoperable on more than one occasion. This repeated issue presents a safety concern if the vehicle can become stranded unexpectedly due to this failure. The issue does not appear to be resolved. The tech informed me that the company is still trying to figure it out.

The 14.4" Infotainment Screen will freeze randomly during vehicle start-up, make an audible buzzing sound through the speakers, then hard reset. During this time, the camera system is inoperable until the radio finishes resetting, causing reduced visibility around the vehicle when in reverse. No warning lamps or stored codes were present when this issue first occurred. The concern was shared with Friendship CDJR in Johnson City, TN. After inspection of the vehicle, the technician was unable to determine root cause and manually uploaded a software update to the infotainment system to ensure a corrupt file was not uploaded during over-the-air updates. This did not remedy the issue and the infotainment system continues to randomly show this issue.

When I receive an alert for approaching emergency vehicle EVAS (Emergency Vehicle Alert System) powered by HAAS, the audio is completely muted on my radio and the only way to fix it is to manually reset the radio, which requires digging into the menu, taking eyes off the road, it's the opposite of safe. My audio will not work after receiving one of these alerts until the radio is reset.

Received notice of recall 03D via Ram trucks mobile app. Called my local dealership to schedule the truck in for the recall. I was told “there are no parts available at this time to satisfy the recall” and that the dealership has over 400 vehicles currently on a wait list for parts.

I'm having the issues related to recall 35D. My VIN apparently isn't on the list and it's very frustrating. I've had the associated false errors several times now and has put me into dangerous situations when pulling over on expressway thinking I'm having issues. Was glad to see this recall come out but frustrated my truck wasn't on the list. Dealer, FCA RAM recall team were useless when talking to them since I'm not on the list. Please help.

I am writing to formally escalate a serious and ongoing defect involving my Ram 1500. Despite multiple repair attempts at an authorized dealership, the issue has not been resolved. The vehicle repeatedly shuts off unexpectedly, which creates a significant safety risk while driving. I have already taken the vehicle to the dealership three separate times to address this problem, and the defect continues to persist. Because the dealership has been unable to properly repair the vehicle after multiple attempts, I am requesting that this matter be immediately escalated to a regional case manager and a Ram Field Technical Specialist for review. In addition, I would like to formally report a very concerning interaction with your customer care department. When I contacted customer care to seek assistance regarding this issue, the representative I spoke with was extremely rude and unprofessional. During the call, the agent refused to provide her name or identification when I asked, and the call ended with the representative hanging up the phone while I was still trying to address my concerns. This experience was very disappointing and did not reflect the level of customer service I expected. Given the repeated repair attempts and the ongoing safety concern, this situation may qualify under the New York Lemon Law. If the defect cannot be resolved promptly, I will pursue the remedies available under the New York Lemon Law, including a possible vehicle replacement or manufacturer buyback. Please contact me as soon as possible with a case number and the next steps to resolve this matter.

Ram recall 03D, NHTSA-26V-059. The Ram dealer stated replacement "trailer control modules" will be installed in unsold units first, not existing owners of sold units. My vehicle has NOT been repaired. The Ram app states my recall issue is resolved- it is not. I cannot safely and legally tow my trailer because of this issue. Stellantis needs to be held accountable as the manufacturer WAS aware of this issue before I was allowed to purchase the truck.

battery drains completely dead and will not take a charge. I bought this vehicle just under 1 year ago and 3 batteries main batteries have had to be be replaced, and 2 secondary batteries. Something is draining and killing the batteries and the dealership cannot find the cause. This has left me stranded without a vehicle 3 times in less than a year.

FCA - USA has a safety recall for Ram trucks manufactured between 2024 -2026. The towing/trailer module is defective and the trailer lights, turn signals and trailer braking may not function while towing a vehicle. The recall has been effective since Feb. 2, 2026. I have tried to schedule my 2026 Ram truck at two different dealerships and they complain that the cannot get the parts from FCA. My scheduled appointments have been cancelled at least 2 times due to part unavailability. I was told today by a Ram dealer that FCA has advised them FCA is only releasing 1 module per dealership per month. T This is a serious safety issue for those customers that tow trailers as the malfunction could result in accidents and deaths. I find it unacceptable that an automaker can have a serious safety issue and is unable or unwilling to supply the new trailer towing parts/modules that correct the defect. Please discuss this issue with FCA.

The contact owns a 2025 Ram 1500. The contact stated that while driving downhill in the mountains at approximately 50 MPH and pulling a 2024 Ember 190MSL Overland RV, the brake pedal was depressed, and the vehicle decelerated as intended; however, the trailer brakes failed to engage, causing the RV to roll sideways and to crash into the rear of the vehicle. The RV's weight distribution was fractured, causing the front end of the vehicle to spin against the guard rail and to face the opposite direction. The contact shifted to Park(P). The RV's weight distribution pinned the muffler, and the bed panel of the vehicle was damaged during the crash. Additionally, the vehicle sustained front-end damage. The check engine warning light was illuminated after the crash. The air bags did not deploy. The were no reported injuries. The vehicle was towed to an autobody repair shop, where it was being repaired. The RV was towed and totaled. The insurance company accident reconstruction specialist confirmed that the accident had occurred due to trailer brakes failure. The contact learned about NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V059000(Exterior Lighting, Electrical System) in the news and confirmed that the VIN was included. The contact related the failure to the recall. The dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was contacted and a case was filed. The failure mileage was approximately 3,290.

When turn signal is engaged (left, right, or hazard,) the normal turn signal sound randomly changes pitch and tone. This is an intermittent problem. Dealership has updated software which did not fix the problem. The signal lights work but the sound makes it seem as if there is a warning other than a normal turn signal sound. There are at least two social media posts about this exact issue on a 2025 and 2026 Ram 1500.

My 2025 ram 1500 Tradesman pick up with only 600 miles would not start. I called roadside and had the vehicle towed to Wallace Chrysler Jeep Dodge ram dealership in Stuart Florida. Two days later, they called and said the issue was with possibly the starter or the E torque mechanism. Collin from Wallace service calls later to say the truck was ready. I didn’t drive very far for the truck to turn off and put itself in Park. The truck goes back to Wallace. Collin calls the next day to say the truck had a low hybrid battery voltage. At this point I don’t trust the safety of this vehicle.

The vehicle is a 2025 Ram 1500 with an active safety recall related to the trailer light connection/wiring system. The issue causes warnings indicating trailer light malfunction and affects proper trailer light operation. This is a significant safety concern because I regularly tow trailers, and improper trailer lighting creates a risk for accidents, especially at night or during braking and signaling. The recall has been confirmed by the dealer, however, the dealer has stated that parts are not available and cannot provide a timeline for repair. It has been over a month with no resolution. No repair has been performed, and the issue remains unresolved. Warning messages related to trailer connection and lighting have appeared. This directly impacts the safe operation of the vehicle and my ability to tow for work purposes. The manufacturer has not provided a timely remedy for this safety recall.
NHTSA #11730739

Headlight shut off when truck slows down
NHTSA #11703174
Headlights and parking lights shut completely off while driving. Not just a flash. They turn off and come back on while slowing down. Not only are we driving in total darkness but other drivers think we are blinking lights and turn or pull in front of us. Truck was bought new in April 2025. Has been at dealership for over 120 days. They don't seem to be able to fix and won't give us a replacement. They seem to thinking that driving without lights is not a safety issue. Just in short time we actually had possession of it . I personally had to take invasive action twice from a pull out and a vehicle turning left in front of me. Wife also had to take invasive action to prevent a collision. Now she is scared to drive her own vehicle.

while traveling at highway speed on the interstate in Alabama, the panoramic roof glass on my 2025 Ram 1500 spontaneously shattered and expelled outward from the vehicle. There was no prior impact, road debris strike, or warning of any kind. No injuries occurred, but the sudden loud explosion of glass was an extreme distraction and created a serious safety hazard for myself, child in the back seat and other motorists on the interstate. The failure is consistent with a known manufacturing defect in tempered glass — spontaneous shattering caused by internal stress or contaminants such as nickel sulfide inclusions — and is not consistent with road hazard damage. Glass that fails due to external impact typically breaks inward; this glass blew outward under pressure. I took the vehicle to my Ram dealership, who denied my warranty claim by citing a 1-year/12,000-mile limitation for glass. However, the FCA US LLC Basic Limited Warranty documentation lists specific components subject to that limitation — windshield and rear window among them — and does not include panoramic roof glass. The dealer’s denial appears inconsistent with the plain language of the warranty. I am requesting that NHTSA: 1.Open or add this complaint to any existing investigation into panoramic roof glass failures on Ram 1500 or other FCA/Stellantis vehicles; 2.Investigate whether a defect exists that warrants a safety recall; and 3.Record this complaint for use in any future enforcement or recall determination. This incident posed a serious safety risk at highway speeds and I believe other Ram 1500 owners may be at risk of the same failure.

Vehicle experienced two complete electrical failures (total battery drain) within two months. Both batteries were replaced in March 2026 but truck failed again in May 2026. Two open recall campaigns (71X010 and Campaign 25-239 — BCM software update) were identified in March and remain unresolved. Suspect unresolved BCM update is contributing to repeated battery drain. Vehicle required jump start both times and left me stranded.

The entertainment system (and rear camera) freezes up and emits a loud squeal. The system eventually reboots but while backing up the camera screen is frozen and unable to see behind while backing. This creates a definite safety problem (it occurs at various time not only abcking up). The dealer hasn't been able to reproduce the error.

However Since then I been following and dealer is neglecting my request and keeps telling me they dont know if the order is delivered or not and now today he told me its on backorder. Keep in mind he had told me he had ordered it a month and a half ago.

Hello I have filed a complaint about this vehicle just recently Feb 10, 2026 NHTSA - filed complaint 1-888-327-4236 ODI- Office of Defect Investigation Reference # 11717085 Here is a video from earlier today and it took my ParkView Rear Back-Up Camera ParkView Rear Back-Up Camera 7 seconds before it displayed in my infotainment screen. The truck is defective and unsafe as stated in the first complaint. I took snapshots as I could not load the video here but it shows the timeline.

Remote starter on my 2025 Ram 1500 Big Horn frequently fails to operated in cold weather (below ~30F). The truck will flash the lights and then abort the remote start without starting the engine. The vehicle starts normally using the push-button inside the truck. This issue is intermittent but recurring multiple times. No warning lights are displayed. Dealer is unable to reproduce the problem. This may be a software or electrical defect affecting safe or predictable operation in cold conditions.

The engine light will come on and go off at various times for no apparent reason and the odometer/mileage will start flashing and do so for periods of time, When this occurs certain features become unavailable such as the remote start will not engage. The warranty item/part has been confirmed by dealership and they do not have the part to correct with no expected repair time for this warranty on this item. The car is only 6 months old and gas been at dealership 3 times with no fix

When any tire pressure is detected as low, my 3.5 inch display in front of the steering wheel switches to a display showing the four tires and each tire pressure with the low tire in a different color. Now here's the problem, a message is also displayed below the graphic saying "inflate to 50 psi". The door placard inflation is 36psi. 50psi is close to the MAX inflation list on the side wall of the tires as 51 psi. This is the exact problem listed in the existing safety recall NHTSA 25V-231, however my vehicle is not showing up as included in this recall. I believe there has been an error in identification of some affected vehicles. That is the sole purpose of this request, to make sure all impacted vehicles are properly identified. I suspect mine is not the only one not identified.

On Sept 22, 2025, the vehicle completely shut off while my son was driving the car to school. The car was in Drive and gave no warning at all. It just shut off in the middle of the road while he was driving appx 25-30mph. He was able to restart the car and get to school safely. When he left school a few hours later and started to drive home, the car shut off again, without warning and while it was in Drive, again appx 25-30 mph. He was able to restart it, and then pulled into the nearest parking lot, and had the car towed to the dealership. On Sept 25, the dealer said they updated the software for "PCM" and "TCM", and replaced the Ignition System Control Module. I picked the car up later that day and began to drive home. About 10 miles into my drive home, the vehicle shut off again, without warning. The car was towed again and now the dealership is telling me they can't find anything wrong with it. This car is going to cause a serious accident and/or a serious injury or death.

Headlights flicker off and then back on at random times while driving. I've been unable to reproduce the issue on command in any way. No warning lamps or anything by the truck. The first couple times while driving at night I thought it was my eyes because it happened when I was looking away like when turning around a neighborhood corner and checking for traffic. Now, I've noticed it happening while driving straight and looking out the windshield. It's a very brief flicker, but it's definitely the headlights shutting off and turning back on again. The issue has not been reported to the dealer yet. The truck is brand new and is experiencing other electrical blips at only 800 miles total. I will be stopping at a local dealer ASAP.
NHTSA #11703239
Driver's side headlight shines excessively to the left. Blinding oncoming traffic and not illuminating the forward path of travel the way the passenger headlight does. Not able to adjust the headlight and dealer is not able to do anything about it either.

My truck has an issue where the headlights do not turn on when I press the key fob while approaching the truck. This is at night only. The side mirror lights, rear cargo lights and interior lights activate however the headlights do not. This is an issue for personal safety when approaching the truck in the dark. There must be a glitch. The headlights will illuminate during the daytime when it is bright out or if the remote start is activated. The vehicle was seem by a Ram Dealership and no active recalls were present. Manufacturer Recall No. : D4B which addresses some headlight issues apparently did not effect my truck and no flash was done on the software. I feel that this is a major safety concern as I am unable to brightly see my surroundings when I approach my truck.
NHTSA #11696030
I have been to the dealership twice because the driver's side headlight points way to the left, it's not centered. They said there is no adjustment for bringing it to center position. It's a hazard because there is no lighting in front of the driver. There's an obvious blind spot.

Engine shuts off while idling and also while driving. While driving, the condition most commonly occurs at speeds under 10 mph, but it has occurred on public roads and highways. When the engine shuts off, the truck violently engages Auto Park while the vehicle is still in motion. The condition occurs multiple times per day. There are no warning lights or messages prior to the shutdown. The condition began after a software update performed by the dealership and has been occurring for several months. The vehicle has been returned to the selling dealership for diagnosis and repair on one prior occasion. Following the repair attempt, the condition has continued and appears to have become more frequent. I am concerned that the unexpected engine shutdown and automatic engagement of Auto Park while the vehicle is moving creates a significant safety hazard and may cause damage to the transmission or drivetrain while also creating a possibility of causing an accident while operating vehicle.
NHTSA #11741985
Vehicle is shifting it self to park while driving and your truck will lock up in traffic, digital instrument. Cluster will go black then come back saying restart required before you can start driving and get out of harms way. Digital cluster will flash while driving causing the turn signals to malfunction and you can not see how fast you are going. It is also causing the transmission to get stuck in the current gear it is in not allowing for acceleration. You have to turn truck on and off to get the transmission to shift. Purchased truck in feb and has been at dealer for this issue to know repair 3 times now. There is finally a recall explaining exactly what is going on with my truck yet my vin is not included I have been telling Chrysler this is a major safety issue I have almost been in several major accidents because of this!

While driving into town, the dashboard illuminated with every warning light before the vehicle suffered a total electronic and engine shutdown. This happened twice—the second time while I was mid-turn in an intersection. Several vehicles had to slam on their brakes to avoid a high-speed collision with my stalled truck. I had to get the vehicle towed as it is fundamentally unsafe to operate.
NHTSA #11720561
While operating the vehicle, the engine shut off unexpectedly and without warning while the vehicle was in traffic. In one incident, the vehicle was stopped at a traffic light and, when the accelerator was pressed after the light turned green, the engine cut off and the transmission automatically shifted into PARK. The vehicle became disabled in active traffic with other vehicles behind it. A similar incident occurred previously in a parking lot. The vehicle began sputtering and then shut off when shifted into reverse, again forcing the transmission into PARK. These events occurred after the vehicle had recently been returned from an authorized dealership where it was reported that all issues were repaired. The malfunction appears to involve the engine, electrical system, and powertrain, specifically a loss of engine power combined with an unintended automatic shift into PARK. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request and is currently back at an authorized dealership for service. These failures placed my safety and the safety of others at risk by leaving the vehicle suddenly disabled in traffic, blocking lanes, and creating a risk of rear-end collision. One incident occurred during morning rush hour with surrounding vehicles, increasing the risk to other motorists. The problem has occurred multiple times and has been reported to and inspected by authorized dealerships on several occasions. Diagnostic testing, software/system updates, electrical inspections, and component replacements have been performed. Despite these inspections and repair attempts, the problem continues and has not been resolved. Prior to and during the failures, warning messages and alerts appeared on the dashboard, including repeated ParkSense warnings and other system alerts. In some instances, additional warning messages appeared at the time of the shutdown. These warnings have occurred intermittently since earlier service visits. The vehicle has been inspected by authorized dealers

Coasting (last time I was doing 45 on a side road with my foot barely on the gas) and the truck gauges all reset to zero at once and the D button for Drive starts flashing. Try pressing the gas and you are neutral. Everything comes back on instantly but you are now in a flashing D mode (basically neutral) rolling in traffic. Loss of powertrain. It has happened 4 times now. Someone will die over this. Ram dealer now has my truck for the second time now. Updates did not fix it. Sounds like the same problem they are having with the Grand Cherokee as it is the same Hurricane motor.

About 3 times already the vehicle have stalled after been stop at a traffic light. When I lift my foot from the brake pedal and hit the gas the vehicle does not move. I had to hit the brakes and put it in park and then drive again for it to go. The last time yesterday I was on a hill and the vehicle went back when I tried to hit the gas. On [XXX], while driving my 2025 Ram 1500 Laramie at approximately 60 mph on a dark rural road, the truck suddenly stalled without warning. The engine shut off, but all lights and electrical systems initially remained powered. I shifted into Neutral and attempted to restart while coasting, at which point the truck completely lost electrical power — headlights, dash, ignition button, and interior lighting all went dead. I initially thought I might have accidentally cycled the ignition button off, but repeated attempts to restart had no response. As I rolled to a stop, the vehicle automatically shifted itself into Park, causing a sudden and violent stop. Once stationary, the truck restarted normally as if nothing had happened. Prior to this event, there were multiple related issues: – On [XXX], the truck would crank but not start for about 30–40 minutes before finally starting normally. – On [XXX], a check engine light appeared during an hour drive to LAX. After parking and restarting, the light disappeared. – On September 29, 2025, I took the truck to Crown Dodge in Ventura County, CA, where a wireless OBD-II scan found no codes. I was advised to return if the problem persisted. – A few months prior, the truck stalled at low speed when pulling forward from a stop in a parking lot. The [XXX] incident was extremely dangerous, leaving me completely unpowered and invisible to oncoming traffic at night. These repeated, escalating failures suggest a serious intermittent electrical or control system defect that could result in a crash or injury. The dealer has not responded to my attempts to contact them on October 13, 2025. I was able to get ahold of their receptionist but get sent to voicemails when transferred. Some of the boxes were already full and others I left voicemails but no response back none the less. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

This vehicle has less than 3,000 miles on it and has been in the shop at least three times for a recurring issue with the transmission "lunging" and "clunking hard upon down shift and upshift (automatic). The electrical system and computer are confused and cause the vehicle to literally stop and not engage in gear while driving! Today, the truck was in DRIVE awhile I was sitting at a light in heavy traffic. When I hit the gas at light change, the truck revved up but did not go! I was almost hit from behind as I had no brake lights indicated. Additionally, I kept getting a flashing gear selector indicator knob saying to put the TRUCK IN PARK AND SELECT THE DRIVE OPTION. I did but it still wouldn't go. I then got a software update light on the screen and the CHECK ENGINE LIGHT came on. I finally had to literally wave people around me in traffic as I was stalled out. I turned the truck off, restarted and it moved forward BUT at a high RPM. I have parked the truck but the dealer service is full up until late in the week and RAM CARE representatives were foreign and did not speak English well (I could not clearly understand them in my emergency call). Dealer is unwilling to act decisively to a life or death situation (opinion mine). SO we need to ensure we don't get killed or injured (God forbid) and IF there is a serious incident with this vehicle, there is documentation to attest it has been "serviced" several times for the electrical system fluctuating, the transmission dropping, and the engine not engaging the power train while driving. Attaching a PHOTO of the CURRENT Dash Lights (Warnings on the Left) and check engine light being on AFTER I got the vehicle re-running.

I stopped for red light and waited for about 2 minutes for light to turn green. I took my foot off the brake pedal and put it on the gas pedal. Truck refused to go forward. Message in IP flashed ad stated to go into to park then back to drive. I failed on first attempt and had to do the procedure again to get truck to move forward. I think this is equivalent to stalling out at a stop. This has happened to me about 4 times total, 2 times today. No warning lights stay ,like a check engine light. Luckily haven't been rear ended yet. unable to take picture since i have to get truck going in traffic. If my wife was driving she might panic and be stalled out in traffic.

Transmission has a delay when acceleration. This happens when i start to take off from being at a complete stop or.when i pull into traffic. Took it to dealer and they said they are aware of this issue. They did a relearn to the system but problem is still happening. This happens every day.

Truck randomly will go into neutral after being placed in gear and moving. I will place the vehicle in drive to exit my driveway. It has happened twice at the exact same spot/conditions. As I turn out of my driveway and begin to accelerate the truck will tell me to put shifter in park and select gear. The truck places itself in neutral. You must come to a stop, put in park then back to drive and continue on. This is extremely dangerous if it were to happen at the wrong time! Fortunately I live on a back road with little traffic but if it happens in a bust intersection there will very likely be an accident.

NHTSA Safety Complaint Draft Vehicle: 2025 Ram 1500 VIN: [XXX] Mileage at First Incident: 3920 Mileage at Most Recent Incident: 13,000 (approx.) Complaint Summary: My 2025 Ram 1500 has a recurring safety critical defect that causes the truck to suddenly and unpredictably decelerate from highway speeds (around 70 mph to 55 mph) down to approximately 5 mph, even though the engine RPMs remain around 4,000. This creates an immediate risk of being rear ended or causing a multi vehicle crash. Full Description of the Problem: While driving at normal highway speeds, the vehicle suddenly loses propulsion without warning. The truck slows rapidly to about 5 mph, dealership verbally described as “limp mode” to protect itself, despite the engine continuing to rev at high RPMs. During these events, the dashboard and infotainment system display incorrect and erratic information, including: - Transmission indicator switching into 4WD, Park, or 1st gear while the vehicle is moving - Navigation activating on its own - Screen freezing, glitching, or displaying inaccurate data This defect has occurred multiple times and is unpredictable, making the vehicle unsafe to operate. Repair Attempts: I have taken the vehicle to an authorized Ram dealership on multiple occasions for the same issue: - Repair Attempt #1: 03/20/2025 - Repair Attempt #2: 10/02/2025 - Repair Attempt #3: 10/30/2025 - Repair Attempt #4: 11/17/2025 - Repair Attempt #5: 05/12 2026 The dealership has replaced PCM harness, transfer case control module, DTCM, performed software updates and claimed the issue was resolved, but the defect continues to occur. They have also stated they “cannot replicate” the problem, despite multiple documented incidents. Safety Risk: This defect poses a serious risk of collision, especially at highway speeds. The sudden loss of propulsion and incorrect gear display could easily result in a rear end crash INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

As I was driving at 55mph on the hwy I started smelling gas. I thought it was the car in front of me so I was just going to pass him, but quickly realized I did not have the power to pass another car. So I pulled over on the highway and got out of my truck and noticed flames dripping from the center of the vehicle by looking at the front driver wheel area. I tried to put out with a fire extinguisher that a bystander had given me, but it was just too late in the truck was engulfed in flames.

Check engine light is on and off for the past month. The day before I took it to the dealer the light went off. I went into my vehicle appointment, and the check engine light was off and there were old codes for the fuel temperature. He reset the codes, and the engine light went off. I drove off and obtained fuel the next day and when I filled the tank, the check engine light went back on again. On December 21st, 2025 I drove it to an AutoZone for the free engine code diagnostic tool/test. The code that presents itself is "Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Intermittent". This is the second issue with the vehicles electrical system. The first was two weeks after I bought the vehicle in March 2025 the vehicle would not start. Come to find out, the electronic shifter was wired wrong from the factory and a whole new was ordered and installed. I will have to take it back again to the dealer.

Bought 2025 Dodge Ram on 9/9/24. Since then I have had it into the shop 10+ times. There is a check engine light that comes on. Engine runs VERY rough and erratic. Had issues driving away from a stop light, chugging, lack of power. Making a left hand turn is taking my life in my hands! Each time at the dealership, they run the codes. P0300 is the primary. They just say its a known issue. Manufacture is working on it. IT HAS BEEN OVER A YEAR NOW!! They have never actually done anything to the vehicle other than run diagnostics and turn off the light. In fact the last time I picked up the vehicle 9/12/25, they didn't even turn off the light. Tech said, "whats the point?" I have elevated this with the manufacture Case94136984. There reply was that its not dangerous and a fix is coming. Have you ever tried to make a left hand turn and the truck stops and starts chugging??? Even the dealership stated this IS a safety concern. Question of the day: This is a 2025 Dodge Ram. Are they STILL selling these vehicles with this known issue??? If they have fixed it in new sells, then FIX MINE! I have records of each time the light has come on, had it into the dealership, and been turned away because "there's nothing we can do, Dodge wont let us do more"

The Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) has failed and is no longer operational. The system icon on the instrument cluster is illuminated, indicating the feature is disabled. Prior to full failure, the vehicle experienced multiple dangerous events including unexpected and unintended braking at freeway speeds, creating hazardous driving conditions and requiring immediate steering correction to avoid potential collisions. The initial issue began with a loss of steering assist, which was reported. Since then, the condition has escalated. The ADAS system is now completely non-functional, and the vehicle continues to present ongoing safety risks. These failures occur during regular highway operation. I drive approximately 100 miles per day, significantly increasing exposure to these hazards. The unpredictable braking and prior steering issues create a serious risk of accident, injury, or loss of control. This issue has been ongoing for nearly four months since the initial complaint, with no permanent resolution. The vehicle is unsafe to operate under normal conditions.

On November 16th while on vacation and traveling through west Texas, our 2025 Ram 1500 SST Lonestar cancelled our adaptive cruise and automatic emergency brake. A message popped up again stating "Auto Emergency Braking (AEB)/ACC Unavailable Service Required". We were pulling our travel trailer and we found that if we shut off vehicle, it would reset and appear to work for a short time but would them cancel our adaptive cruise and automatic emergency brake. On November 17th we took it to Sisbarro CDJR in Deming, NM and they claimed they couldn't verify our problem with a 30 minute text drive. So their tech did an update to the PCM and gave us the truck back. We hitched up the next day and with 15 minutes the problem happened again. We stopped using the adaptive cruise control and started using the regular cruise. The message continued and we continued to Surprise, AZ without the ACC and AEB. On Monday, November 24th, we took the vehicle to Larry Miller CDJR in Surprise, AZ. After I described the ongoing problem to the service writer, he told that it would be 3 or 4 days before they could look at it and it could take at least an additional 2 days to repair if they could recreate the problem. I asked him if he thought it was safe to drive back to Mansfield, TX and he said it should be okay. Over the next three days we returned home and continued to have the problem with the ACC and AEB warning. I've have called Classic CDJR in Arlington, TX and scheduled an appointment for Tuesday, December 2nd at 7 am.

My wife and I were driving at approximately 30 mph down a street with no vehicles or obstructions around. My truck auto braking initiated and locked up the brakes stopping us immediately and the vehicle turned off. I've taken the truck to the dealership for other electronic errors and issues, but they always get dismissed since they don't stay stored for the dealership to troubleshoot. They always clear when the vehicle restarts. Minor injuries from seatbelt due to sudden stop. Unsure of other damage to vehicle or tires. Thankfully no cars were behind us or we would have been rear ended.

The vehicles Auto-Start-Stop (ESS) works intermittently. Multiple occasions where the system was turned off and the engine quit and would not restart without putting the vehicle in park. Recently the ESS has gone months without shutoff of the engine. However, occasionally it will shut off the engine. Multiple times the engine has shut off while the vehicle is moving, which was very dangerous. Typically after a stop at a traffic light, you begin to drive and the engine quits. This requires you to put the vehicle in park to attempt a restart.

The auto stop/start "feature" does not work properly. When it malfunctions, the vehicle goes into Park and requires to be turned off and back on again. This happened to me coming out of my neighborhood at a yield sign. I stopped very briefly as it was a Yield sign. The engine shut off and it threw a MIL. I had to turn it off and back on. I took it to the dealer who said they did a flash upgrade and reset the MIL. Since then it has done it to my wife multiple times. One time was at an intersection and she panicked which caused more delay in getting the vehicle going again. It almost seems like a stall. When I disable the stop/start with the button on the dash it (obviously) does not have this problem. The auto stop/start needs to be eliminated from vehicles without fear of voiding warranties.

The trailer brake module causes trailer braking and lights to work inconsistently. There is an existing recall but I am 3 months in with no status of when they can fix my issue. I am on a waiting list with 2 nearby dealers and cannot safely use my truck for towing which is what I bought it for.

When applying brakes there is an audible chirping noise from the front driver side wheel well area. There is also a similar noise while driving (and not applying pressure to the brake pedal) when going over bumps/holes in the road. Concern initially reported to dealer in Spring of 2025, dealer confirmed hearing the noise under both situations listed. Dealer removed then greased and re-installed components in brake caliper. Noise subsided for a few months, however it has since returned. In addition there are now evident issues with braking ability when traveling at speed.

When turning my car on, I received warning lights for the ABS, Stability Track, and Traction Control systems. These stated they had all been deactivated. The Check Engine light also illuminated. I was in a safe, open lot location so I put my truck in drive to confirm this was not a dash/technical issue. The brakes were in fact almost completely deactivated. It took me over 100 feet to come to a stop. The brake pedal had slightly retracted also causing more issue in trying to reach the brake pedal. Once stopped, I checked the VIN and discovered this recall for the vehicle. The major complaint comes from the recall repair process with Ram/MOPAR. I took the truck to my nearest Ram dealership. Once in, they advised I needed two sensors replaced in the front wheel-well per the recall guidelines. The service department of the dealership further stated they could only order ONE sensor per month per dealership. Not per vehicle, per person, etc. They could as a dealership only order one sensor a month, meaning nobody else could come in for this recall repair while my FIRST sensor was being replaced. Now I am stuck waiting over a month for the second sensor to be ordered. They refused to give me a courtesy vehicle to drive for the time being so I am forced to drive my Ram with this recall issue with a major safety concern. I contacted Ram/MOPAR about this to find out if the dealership was correct in the part ordering statement and they could not give me a straight answer. Considering the brakes are about the most critical piece of safety equipment in a vehicle, I find this by Ram completely unacceptable and opening the door for potential bad things down the road.

on my 2025 ram 1500, my truck turns off my cross path detection, and reads i have a trailer hooked up. At the times this has happened i HAD NO trailer attached and had no trailer wire harness hooked up to my truck. the first time this happened, i was driving forward, and my truck turned off my cross path detection and errored out, my truck also reads a trailer, and has defalts to AUTO trailer, this happened 2 times, I have no trailer hooked up and have never had a trailer hooked up. the first time to reset this i had to restart my truck im not sure of the date this happened, i took it to the dealer ship for the first one and they told me there is supposed to be a fix late this year the first time was mid apr 2026 then today 6/6/2026 the same issue, i had no trailer hooked up and my cross path detection disable and the truck read i had a trailer hooked up and put a trailer icon on my cluster and put auto, this time about 5 mins the trailer icon went away, my truck has been doing this more and more there are 2 pics one is todays, and one is from around april time frame

Defect Description for NHTSA Complaint Intermittent but recurring failure of the Uconnect infotainment system and rearview backup camera on a 2025 Ram 1500. The defect occurs at vehicle startup and when shifting the transmission into reverse. Symptoms include: (1) the center console display freezes and becomes unresponsive; (2) the rearview backup camera fails to display an image when reverse is selected, eliminating rear visibility required under FMVSS 111; (3) audio output cuts out completely; and (4) a loud electronic buzzing noise is frequently emitted from the dash or speakers during the failure. This is a safety-related defect because the rearview camera is inoperative at the exact moment it is federally required to function — when the driver shifts into reverse — creating a rear visibility hazard and increasing the risk of a backover incident involving pedestrians, children, or obstacles. The vehicle has been taken to an authorized Ram dealer multiple times for this issue. The dealer previously replaced the center console display/head unit under warranty, but the defect has returned and continues to occur, indicating the root cause was not the display itself. The persistence of the failure after a hardware replacement suggests a systemic issue — likely related to Uconnect software, the CAN bus communication network, a wiring harness or ground fault, or another vehicle module — rather than an isolated component failure. No crash, injury, or fire has resulted, but the loss of the backup camera at the moment of reverse engagement presents an ongoing safety risk during every use of the vehicle.

While driving on the highway, I first noticed the vehicle becoming difficult to steer. The steering felt unusually heavy and sluggish, as if power steering assistance was reduced or failing. Shortly after this began, multiple warning lights illuminated across the dashboard. At that point, braking performance also became severely compromised. The brake pedal felt soft and traveled nearly to the floor with very limited stopping power. The vehicle required significantly increased distance to slow and stop, creating a serious safety hazard in active highway traffic. The combination of reduced steering assist and severely degraded braking performance made the vehicle difficult to control and presented a significant safety risk. I was able to bring the vehicle to a stop and it was later towed to a dealership. At the time of inspection, the battery was found to be dead. I had recently returned from a 5-day trip and the vehicle required a jump start before this driving event. The dealership replaced the battery and stated the vehicle was operating normally after repair. However, the incident involved progressive loss of steering assist followed by significant loss of braking performance at highway speed. I am reporting this as a serious safety concern because multiple critical vehicle control systems were affected while driving. I am concerned about potential recurrence of this issue and the risk it presents to driver and public safety. The vehicle is available for inspection.

A fuse box burnt up while driving in down town Chicago at 35mph causing no power to steer and loss of braking. The vehicle only stopped because it ran off the road hitting a pothole there was total loss of power. towed to the dealer Ram claims it was a burnt fuse box and there is still electrical issues with the truck its not fixed truck has approximately 11,000 miles still under factory warranty with no aftermarket products installed to the electrical system.

Our 2025 Ram 1500 is subject to a safety recall involving the trailer brake system. The dealer confirmed that the defect may cause trailer brakes and trailer lighting to fail. We were advised that there is currently no repair available and that parts may not be available for up to a year. Because of this defect, we are unable to safely tow our travel trailer, which is a primary intended use of the vehicle. This creates a significant safety concern, as failure of trailer brakes could result in loss of control while towing. The issue has been confirmed by an authorized dealer. No repair has been performed because a remedy is not yet available. The condition is ongoing.

While towing a loaded horse trailer, I received a red "trailer brake" warning light on the instrument cluster indicating that the trailer brakes were no longer connected. I confirmed that the trailer brakes were not working by attempting to activate them manually with the trailer brake controller. There was no response from the controller and no brakes on the trailer functioned. Within about 3-4 minutes of the trailer brake issue, I also lost all trailer lights on the trailer. When this happened, I decided to pull over in a safe area and attempt to check the trailer connections. All trailer connections were securely installed, free from any damage, and had functioned flawlessly for days prior. I was forced to continue to my destination without trailer brakes or trailer lights despite being stuck in a substantially strong thunderstorm with heavy rain and low visibility. When I reached my destination, I called my selling dealership to report the issue. I was told by the service advisor that they had "hundreds" of trucks on a wait list and that Ram was only sending them one repair part per week. He also stated that they hadn't recently received any parts and had no idea when more would become available. Their only suggestion was to "call and complain" to corporate, and that there was nothing more they could do. This incident with truck occurred on March 20th 2026. I had already called the dealership on March 6th after discovering (via NHTSA site) that my truck had been flagged for the trailer brake control recall. The dealership gave me the same response previously. "We have hundreds of trucks but no parts, call back in four weeks". At that point, I had not received any official documentation of a trailer brake control module recall from Ram. I did not receive my official letter from Ram until March 21st, the day after my incident.

Rear passenger seatbelt behind driver's seat detached from the vehicle. My daughter was riding in the seat with the seatbelt fastened and it suddenly releases. She thought it had become unbuckled somehow, but it actually it had separated from the vehicle where it should have been bolted into place. There were no warning signs if impending failure. My daughter's life was put at risk if there had been an accident or I had to stop abrubtly. The vehicle is in for repairs now. I am having them inspect all seat belts in the vehicle. I have very little confidence concerning my safety and that of my passengers.

On Friday evening, while driving my new Ram 1500 Tungsten on a freeway, the engine warning light illuminated and the vehicle suddenly lost power. I was traveling at highway speed at the time. Almost immediately after the loss of power, gasoline began pooling underneath the truck. Because of the visible fuel leak and strong gasoline odor, my wife and I exited the vehicle and stood well away from it due to the potential fire risk. We were stranded on the side of a busy freeway in the dark for over an hour while waiting for a tow truck. The vehicle was ultimately towed to a Ram dealership. The truck had approximately 3,766 miles on it at the time of the incident. As of the date of this report, the vehicle has been at the dealership for 6 days and has not yet been inspected or diagnosed. I personally visited the dealership and observed that the vehicle is still sitting in the same location where it was placed when it was towed in. This incident involved a sudden loss of power on a freeway combined with an active fuel leak, which created a potentially dangerous situation due to the risk of fire and the hazard of being stranded in traffic. The vehicle is nearly new and had fewer than 4,000 miles at the time of the failure.

The first major problem was when the truck just didn't start 11/25/2025. The truck was towed to the dealership. The dealership said it was a bad electrical fuse and I picked up the truck. There were no warning lights on before the brake failure. Last week, 12/18/2025 my brakes failed while I was driving my son home from school; thankfully we were in our development and going very slow so we weren't harmed. I was driving like I normally do, and went to brake, and the brakes weren't working, the pedal was to the floor. There was just no resistance with the brakes at that time. All the warning lights in the truck were flashing. After we rolled to a stop in the grass, I turned the truck off. I tried to turn it back on but it wouldn't go on. I waited a few mintues and tried again and it turned on. I was a few houses away from my home so I attempted to drive it again very slowly, and the brakes worked again. The truck got towed to the dealership, and the dealership is saying they can not find anything wrong with the truck now. There must be some kind of major electrical issue going on, but the dealership says they can't find anything wrong.

First I would get a check engine light and infotainment screen would go black and odometer started blinking. Restart required. Occasionally the key fob is not detected. Reset the check engine light twice. Once at Huntington Beach RAM and once at Sunnyvale Chrysler. Both times the technician was unable to determine cause of fault. Slowly the failures became worse. The vehicle infotainment system and safety features that controls propulsion and ADAS intermittently started to fail and ultimately the truck started to stall. This stalling occurred 15 minutes after a service oil change and tire rotation at Sunnyvale Chrysler / RAM. Had to tow vehicle back to Sunnyvale. Batteries changed. Tech stalled on test drive after about 5 miles. RAM app still oddly indicates low battery, even though Sunnyvale replaced both batteries. Additionally, the trailer tow module (under recall) information / status on the infotainment screen menu started flashing. The trailer tow module recall was not installed as scheduled, even though parts were checked and available, however due to parts shortage, dealer indicated sales vehicle get priorities for the modules at this time. The screen started changing status without touching the screen or menu buttons. This is a serious condition I feel warrants complete check out and repair to avoid safety concerns due to failures / hazards in the operational effectiveness of the vehicle systems / controls, that could increase risk of an accident ,that might lead to vehicle or property damage, injuries or other catastrophic events. While driving all the brake system warning lights come on, even the anti-lock brake system light, and we get a warning stating emergency active braking system error message. The brake pedal goes all the way to the floor when we tried to pull off to the side of the road. This has happened multiple times now and at 1st the dealership couldn't replicate the problem. The it happened yet again and we got video evidence of the brake failure while driving. I did file a claim with Stellantis because the dealership can't get the brake system control module needed to hopefully correct this issue and they said they can get the part to the dealership on 10-5-25. At that point the dealership will have had the truck for 36 days.
NHTSA #11687932
All major braking and safety systems have failed, including the parking brake, 4-wheel drive, cruise and adaptive cruise control, lane departure warnings, blind spot monitoring, and parking collision alerts. These failures occurred at the same time, and we believe there may be additional issues not yet identified. Our local dealership (Barry Sanders Supercenter, Stillwater, OK) attempted multiple repairs before opening a service ticket with RAM/Stellantis. We were informed the part needed to fix the problem is backordered for approximately one year. This extended delay means we must continue driving a vehicle without critical safety systems or park it indefinitely, creating both a financial and safety burden. The loss of these features greatly increases the risk of collisions, especially in bad weather or on highways where adaptive cruise, lane departure warnings, and blind spot detection are essential. Online searches show this is not an isolated issue but a recurring problem in 2025 RAM 1500 models, suggesting a broader manufacturing or design defect.

The vehicle has experienced repeated failures involving the gear shifter system, electrical system, battery system, and vehicle drive mode controls. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. The most serious incident occurred when the vehicle unexpectedly entered Off-Road mode without any driver input while the truck was in motion at low speed. I did not intentionally activate Off-Road mode. The vehicle immediately became difficult to maneuver and did not respond normally. Steering and vehicle behavior changed unexpectedly, requiring repeated forward and reverse movements to safely position the truck. I was concerned about losing control of the vehicle. Had this occurred at highway speeds or in traffic, it could have resulted in a crash, injury, or property damage. In addition to this incident, the vehicle has experienced multiple gear shifter failures that have rendered the truck undrivable on numerous occasions. The truck has been returned to the dealership multiple times for diagnosis and repair of the shifter system. The vehicle has also experienced battery-related failures requiring roadside assistance on two occasions and a tow to a dealership. The problems have been reproduced through repeated occurrences requiring dealership service. The vehicle has been inspected by authorized Ram dealerships on multiple occasions and repair attempts have been performed. The manufacturer, Stellantis/Ram, has also been notified through a customer assistance case. I do not recall receiving any warning that the vehicle would unexpectedly enter Off-Road mode prior to the incident. However, the vehicle has displayed various warning messages and symptoms associated with prior shifter and battery failures. Exact warning messages are unknown. The vehicle has required multiple repair attempts for safety-related issues and has been out of service for extended periods. I am concerned that the unexpected activation of Off-Road and other issues could result in accidents

The Throttle response is very slow when slowing down and then trying to take back off you are half throttle or more before anything happens, i have had to pull off the road to keep other vehicles from hitting me because the vehicle would not go. There has been a few times on the interstate that the throttle would not accept throttle at all and i would have to keep mashing it to finally get it to respond. I have had the truck at two dealerships and they tell me it is normal and the throttle is acting as it should. This is going to get me or someone Killed!!!! I just bought a new Ram Rebel X 2025 in September. I have 7K miles and the front tires are shot due to factory misalignment! Local dealership South Hills Dodge is ZERO HELP. I opened a case with RAM. They said…“You have to drop off your truck at the dealership before we can escalate your case to a case manager”. My truck has been sitting outside the dealership since I dropped it off on Monday 4-27 and hasn’t moved!! The dealership initially said they would cover an alignment under warranty free of charge but not cover 2 new tires which were caused by the misalignment. They then told me I would have to open a case with RAM in order to get the tires paid for. In the meantime, I asked the service manager if he could get me the current alignment readings. He then lied to me and told me they weren’t able to take the current alignment measurements due to the fact that the front tires were so badly worn. I then took it to my local mechanic to get the current alignment readings without fixing anything so I could have this sheet for my records. It not only shows the toe being out of spec on both front tires but shows the Caster being out of spec. Therefore it was set that way when I purchased the vehicle brand new back in September. I talked to my case manager who was never able to get ahold of the dealership!! I was also never able to get a response to multiple questions through their text service. Finally they reach out after my vehicle sat for 4 days and say I have to pay 19.95 for a tire rotation in order to do the alignment. I then chose to take my vehicle to Jim Shorkey and they fix some recalls and RRTs but “needed to talk w case mgr about tire coverage” So then I have it out with this case manager about the amount of time and money I’ve wasted so far and in a nutshell he tells me that the first dealer said tires were not covered under warranty so they can’t cover them! Basically I was sent in a circle of wasted time by RAM corporation “customer service”!!!

4-14-2026 3:25pm Temp 70 degrees. Dry pavement. I was approaching a red stoplight at 50mph. I pressed on the brake pedal but the brakes didn’t seem to be working well. I was slowing down but not like normal. I pressed harder. I heard the truck getting louder inside the cabin. The truck was not braking well at all. It was slowing down but it was not stopping. Alarmed, I pressed even harder on the brake pedal. I heard my tires squealing over the other loudness coming from the truck. Smoke came from my tires. I managed to finally get the truck stopped my switching the gear selector out of Drive. I pressed the Stop button to stop the engine. I turned the truck back on. The “loudness” I had heard earlier returned. The truck was still stopped and in Park with my foot still on the brake pedal. The tachometer on the truck was at just over 4000 RPM - far above normal idle of ~1000 RPM. The engine had been revving trying to drive the truck forward even though I had my foot off the gas and on the brake!

I was pulling out of driveway, it is a steep driveway, I have kept vehicle in 4WD, I then backed up to turn around, the truck “lurched” and “jerked” forward abruptly. I thought I had hit the home in front of me or ran over something. It was not the AEB. The vehicle had changed from 4WD auto to 2WD on its own, creating a large “jump” in the gears. I took the vehicle to service and they could not replicate. This has now happened 3 other times and “jerked” me forward at lower speeds. I have slow had the vehicle “jerk” or roughly change gears while driving from 20mph to 40mpg or when lowering gears and different speeds. I have taken it to the dealership to present and was advised to take it to another dealership and test drive with myself to attempt to replicate. I have had the main center display console turn black, both on CarPlay, and using regularly. The front parking impact sensors not display on camera which could be a safety hazard of you had something or someone that was close to proximity to the vehicle and the camera not display. My infotainment screen makes a loud buzzing noise at least 3days per week, and then it shuts down and reboots itself, this happened several times while backing out of parking spots and I lost my rear view camera, also sometimes while driving on the Highway both of my blind spot monitor lights on my mirrors will come on and my truck will display BMS malfunction and this stops my adaptive Cruise and hands free Cruise while driving on Highway at 65mph or higher. I've taken in to the dealership and they say they can't reproduce the problem with the buzzing coming from The infotainment system, and the Blindspot Monitoring System will self correct after my vehicle sits overnight, but my RAM documents the BMS and sends me an alert to take into dealership for service, but once again the dealerships say they can't replicate the issue with the bms.

For the sixth time, the vehicle has stopped in mid traffic. A couple of close incidents of almost getting hit in two lane traffic, at stop lights surrounded by traffic, on interstate. The incident today came after a supposed, "final fix" for the blind spot warning. It is not a warning, the vehicle completely hard brakes to a complete stop and shut down of all systems. We have to quickly respond, turn the button on quickly and hope it starts. I am now terrified to drive the vehicle. The original dealer told me to take to local dealer, they acted like I was crazy trying to describe these incidents, initially, but then 2 weeks ago, they had a service recall that stated exactly what I had experienced. It does not work. I am terrified to drive it and invested over 90,000 in a quality, American built truck to be dismissed, then believed and survived. I can't keep it, please help.

Despite multiple repair attempts, the vehicle continues to experience significant, recurring issues that substantially impair its use, value, and safety. Since purchase in April from Hebert’s Town and Country, the vehicle has been in service nine (9) times, totaling approximately 50 days out of service. The last four service visits were for the same issue and the same diagnostic fault code, demonstrating a persistent, unresolved defect. The check engine light is currently illuminated again. The primary unresolved issues include: recurring check engine light with repeated fault codes, multiple battery replacements, the vehicle being completely inoperable and requiring towing, and the auto start/stop system shutting the vehicle off and failing to restart while stopped in traffic. These conditions present clear safety concerns and have persisted despite repeated repair attempts by authorized RAM dealerships. All service records and diagnostic reports are available for review. This vehicle was previously submitted to arbitration. While the arbitrator acknowledged manufacturing defects, the conclusion that the defects did not substantially impair the vehicle and were “separate and distinct” is inconsistent with the diagnostic evidence. The repeated appearance of the same fault code across multiple visits indicates a single, recurring nonconformity rather than unrelated issues. Since the arbitration decision, the vehicle has continued to experience the same problem and has been returned for additional repairs. The vehicle is now awaiting inspection by a manufacturer field engineer due to the dealership’s inability to diagnose or permanently repair the defect, further confirming that prior repair attempts have failed. In good faith, I contacted the manufacturer’s retention team to seek alternative resolution options, including replacement or trade-in, which were denied. Please confirm receipt of this request in writing and advise on next steps.

Blind Spot Alert has no volume setting. It is either on or off. It is extremely loud to the point it will startle the driver and occupants. While in motion in left turn lane it will detect vehicles in opposing lanes and sound. When making turns, it will detect my trailer and sound. It will detect utility poles and sound. The over detecting wouldn't be such a problem, but it is probably four times volume needed for the alert. Front collision, rear collision both have volume settings and "Low" has plenty of volume. Most people complaining on the forums simply turn off the audio alert due to no volume setting and rely only on the light. The volume is so loud it defeats the purpose of the audio alert when the only option is to turn it off. Please require RAM to fix this problem.

If you apply the lightest possible touch to the throttle the vehicle will surge and have a shuttering feeling, not smooth or linear, once pressed slightly further the truck accelerates in an unsafe fashion both forward and reverse . Hooking up a trailer is very dangerous as are all maneuvers when pulling away from a stop.

There have been systemic cylinder misfires (each cylinder), anomalous electrical architecture behavior, and transmission calibration irregularities. The check engine light indicated multiple cylinder misfires, which I understand from the dealer is a common issue with the 2025 model. As the driver, there are a few major issues: Chassis Vibration-pronounced shaking or shuddering transmitted through the steering wheel and seat, particularly during the first engine start of the day or idling. Idle Instability-An erratic or surging idle, where the tachometer needle fluctuates noticeably without any throttle input. Throttle Hesitation-A distinct stumble, lethargy, or loss of power when attempting to accelerate from a stop or while merging. It also requires more energy to accelerate, and stops faster. This problem has been addressed at three (3) CDJR dealerships now, and is still ongoing. The car only has 26k miles on it.

Date: November 12, 2025 Vehicle: 2025 Ram 1500 Big Horn 3.0 Dealer: Frank Boucher Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Janesville – 4001 Milton Ave, Janesville, WI 53546 I have been experiencing ongoing electrical and instrument cluster failures with my 2025 Ram 1500 Big Horn 3.0 since purchase. The most serious issue is a recurring message: “Warning Light Illumination Cannot Be Shown – Service Required.” This means the cluster cannot guarantee display of safety alerts such as the check engine, airbag, brake, or oil pressure lights. This is a major safety hazard because I may not be warned of a system failure while driving. The truck also shows false “Trailer Light Out” warnings when no trailer is connected, indicating a fault in the Body Control Module (BCM) or CAN bus communication. This may cause incorrect trailer or brake-light behavior, putting other drivers at risk if brake or turn-signal lighting fails to operate properly. It also displays a false “Too Much Oil” warning despite normal levels, and the 3.0 engine has no dipstick, preventing manual verification. The truck has also failed to start multiple times with both the remote fob and manual ignition. On November 12, 2025, it would not start at all; after several attempts, it started with the check engine light briefly on, then it turned off on its own. I have brought the vehicle to the dealer twice. Technicians confirmed Dodge/Stellantis is aware of the defect but said no repair or software update currently exists. The issue has been reproduced and documented. Based on symptoms and dealer feedback, this is likely a BCM or instrument cluster communication fault within the vehicle’s CAN network, affecting ignition, lighting, and safety indicator functions. It directly violates FMVSS 101 (controls and displays) and poses a serious road-safety risk. I request a full NHTSA investigation and recall for this defect, as it affects multiple Ram 1500 models and leaves drivers unaware of critical system failures.

Purchased a 2025 Ram 1500 Rebel X ($82k MSRP, fully loaded) in May 2025 for family use and towing horse trailers in remote areas (solo female driver). At ~8,000 miles, it has had repeated electrical failures under warranty, creating safety hazards (shift lock, stranding risks, public safety impact). No Stellantis fix; Q4 2025 software promised. Video of Oct 10 incident available. Timeline: • May 2025: Took delivery. Used for errands, remote towing. • Sept 10, 2025 (~7,500 miles): Truck non-responsive in driveway (no fob/locks/dash/start). Blocked spouse’s SWAT vehicle, delaying emergency response (public safety hazard). Towed to dealer via Stellantis Customer Care. • Sept 11-12, 2025 (Visit #1, 2 days out): ‘Dead battery’ diagnosed; replaced. Issues continued to occur. • Sept 12 - Oct 10, 2025: Electrical issues impaired use: slow Uconnect screens (distraction); stuck radio volume; ‘Illumination Alert Unavailable’ (headlight issues); settings not saving (HUD/seats); locks cycling unprompted; proximity key unreliable (stranding risk). Lost trust for towing. • Oct 10, 2025 (~7,900 miles): In remote pasture after dark, cluster went black (no gauges); engine started but transmission locked in Park (‘D’ flashing). Stranded solo female driver (no cell service; tow inaccessible—severe safety risk). Restarts failed; sat 10 min, self-resolved. Video available. Drove home cautiously. • Oct 11, 2025 - Present Oct 14, 2025 (Visit #2, 10+ days): At dealer for cluster/shift/BCM issues. Prior issues noted. No ETA; no contact since Oct 14. Base-trim loaner inadequate. Electrical faults cause no-start, shift lock, stranding—risking emergencies. SWAT vehicle blockage was a major public safety hazard. No crashes/injuries, but repeated risks for female driver. Request NHTSA investigation/recall for 2025 Ram electrical systems.

My 2025 Ram 1500 Big Horn, ~6,000 miles) experienced a steering-assist failure and then a ruptured coolant hose that sprayed coolant over electronics. Dealer (Hendrick Hoover) refused warranty service and instructed me to leave their property. Ram Customer Care told me to drive the unsafe truck home while my child was onboard. The vehicle is now inoperable and unsafe. I have photos and video of the leak and the dealer refusing service. I request an urgent safety investigation and that NHTSA notify Stellantis that my vehicle presents a clear safety risk.

Upon starting my vehicle, numerous warning lamps/messages appeared to include: - "Service Electronic Stability Control" - "4WD System Temporarily Unavailable" - "Auto Emergency Braking (AEB) Off" - "Blind Spot Alert Unavailable Service Required" (the blind spot indicator lights on the side mirrors were also illuminated) In addition to the above warnings, I no longer had electronic power steering, making the vehicle nearly impossible to turn. Thankfully I was parked when all of this occurred. Had I been driving, the loss of power steering alone could have been catastrophic. I shut down the vehicle hoping that the issues would resolve upon restart. Unfortunately they did not. It took multiple more shutdowns/restarts and approximately 20 minutes before the problems disappeared and the vehicle seemed to be functioning properly. I immediately drove the vehicle to the dealership for service. As of this writing, they have not been able to replicate the problem nor find a cause.

The contact owns a 2025 Ram 1500. The contact stated that the check engine warning light was illuminated at start-up. The contact stated that the following day, the vehicle was taken to a dealer and was diagnosed with several cylinder misfires. An unknown repair was performed; however, the check engine warning light returned the following day. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, and the contact was informed that there was a misfire in cylinder#2. The contact was informed that the mechanic had replaced the spark plugs and ignition coil in cylinder#2 and cleaned the fuel injector; however, the check engine warning light remained. The contact was initially informed that further diagnostic tests needed to be performed and that a loaner vehicle could not be provided. Approximately 30 minutes after the loaner vehicle request was denied, the contact was informed that the vehicle had been repaired, and the vehicle was returned to the contact. The following day, upon starting the vehicle, there was gasoline pouring from the engine. The dealer was notified of the failure, and the contact was given a number to have the vehicle towed to the dealer. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and the contact was provided a case number. The vehicle was towed back to the dealer and remained with the dealer. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 1,200.

Driving on the highway with cruise control set, heard a beep and looked at my instrument cluster. Cluster went blank, cruise control turned off, lane management turned off. Then another beep turned on instrument panel and now was frozen at 0 as I was driving at highway speed. Next I was stopped at the off ramp and instrument panel said I was doing 57. I have videos of it happening. And it is in a constant frozen to reboot stage

Purchased a 2025 RAM 1500 TUNGSTEN on [XXX]. Within a week of purchase, the blind spot monitors, forward collision monitors, and the emergency braking all quick working. The first attempt to fix was replacing wiring. This stopped it for a week before they were back on. Goes back into shop and replace and fully charge batteries and again it lasted about a week. Two more trips to shop (3rd and 4th visits) for same issues with more "quick fixes". Fifth attempt to fix took a couple weeks and had a module replaced. which lasted for about 3 weeks. After a trip to Florida in April it had to go in to shop again for the same issues. This time is spent 7 weeks in the shop, replaced multiple modules and other trial and error pieces before it was "fixed" again. Got vehicle back in June and it ran good until last week(end of August). Now every light on my dash is on. None of the safety features are working(airbags, emergency braking, front/rear monitors, traction control, 4x4 system, air ride suspension, etc...). Even the power steering has gone out this time. So now it is back in the shop for the 8th total time in 9 months of ownership. This will be the 4th or 5th star case thats been opened on it and I have completely lost faith in the vehicles ability to be fixed and even more so lost on the ability for RAM(Stellantis and Customer Care) to be able to fix it at all. This truck should be bought back or replaced with a comparable truck that actually works. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Every time my wife sits in her passenger seat the SOS warning goes off like it’s trying to call for help, but the call doesn’t go through. Thankfully because there is never a problem, and now the airbag warning is saying it’s not working. Our dealership said the part needed was on back order and they couldn’t get it any faster unless we called customer support. Which is what I thought they were! It was then expedited. On top of all this we are traveling from clear across the country.
