Axle clicking when turning. Car visited dealer on Jan2026 and they requested replacement parts. Last update from dealer stats Honda stopped replacing them due to defective parts. Replacement part is under design.

NHTSA #11728943

The 2025 Honda Prologue is 7 months old with 5424 miles has a clicking sound when you turn all the way left or all the way right. It is a defective design part that will continue to get worse until the vehicle will become undrivable. Honda Corporation is aware of the problem as the 2024 Prologue has the same issue.

The steering started clicking or clunking noise when hard turning left and right at about 9,000 miles. Took to the dealership and they acknowledged being able to easily replicate the problem, inspected for damage, did not see any. They returned the vehicle with no fix as advised by Honda at this moment for this problem. It appears to be a larger problem under investigation and I was told that it has been noted and we will need to wait for a resolution to the issue.

NHTSA #11712982

There is a clunking, clicking or ratcheting noise when turning left or right. Reported issue to dealer multiple times. They replaced a CV axle on one side, but shortly after the other the noise came back. Dealer mechanic stated that Honda acknowledges the issue but there is not a fix at this time because spare parts have the same defect.

NHTSA #11720231

When turning right or left the vehicle is making a clicking sound. When I first got the vehicle within a month of ownership it made this sound prior to me making my first payment. I took it to the dealership for assessment and they said that there was an issue with the axle. They replaced both front axles but less than 3 months later the sound is back and I have taken my vehicle back to Honda. They told me that they have to contact corporate to see how Honda will want to handle the issue. I have literally only made 4 payments since having the vehicle. There seems to be a major issue that has been called out on Reddit forums however no one seems to be reporting the issue properly.

Every time I have to turn the car on a 90 degree angle from a full stop at an intersection, the car makes a loud clicking sound as the car comes in and out of making the turn. A quick internet search about this shows it’s a widespread issue, and Honda is replacing axles to fix the issue. This should be a recall.

NHTSA #11704930

My 2025 Honda Prologue is experiencing a consistent knocking/cracking noise when turning the steering wheel at low speeds, particularly during tight turns such as parking or exiting driveways. The noise appears to originate from the front axle or wheel area and is most noticeable when accelerating slightly while turning. The sound can be described as a series of clicks, pops, or clunks, and occurs intermittently on both left and right turns. This issue has been widely reported in 2024–2025 Prologue models and is commonly associated with potential CV joint or drive axle defects, where owners describe similar noises occurring early in the vehicle’s life and sometimes worsening over time.

CV axel joints clicking, at risk of breaking

NHTSA #11735418

I own a 2025 Honda Prologue Touring. I have a Clicking and popping noise coming from the CV axel on both sides when turning. It seems to be getting worst as I keep driving. The clicking from the CV joint has become unbearable.

NHTSA #11730688

My 2026 Honda Prologue makes clicking sounds when executing turns. The problem was confirmed in a diagnostic assessment at the Honda dealer at about 7,500 miles (2/4/26). The service rep. said Honda was looking into the problem (CV joints/bearings), but there was no current solution, and they would contact me when a solution became available. The rep. said Honda did not consider this a safety issue. I also own a Honda Civic that has made almost identical clicking noises when its CV joints were failing. In those cases, the Honda dealers always stressed the problem needed addressing in a timely manner as failing CV joints could pose a significant safety hazard. Why has Honda adopted a contradictory stance regarding this CV joint issue with the Prologue? I would urge the NHTSA to investigate the problem (widely reported on Prologue user forums) to determine if it constitutes a safety issue. If confirmed, I would encourage a formal safety recall be implemented to protect the public. This would also help ensure Honda rolls out a solution while the vehicles are still under warranty. (Vehicle is available for inspection by NHTSA and/or manufacturer.)

I noticed the CV axle grease coming out of the boot onto the wheel a few days from taking delivery from dealership at around 400 miles. In a few weeks the CV joint started making noise. I have an appointment at the dealership currently. I am ASE certified and know what a CV axle failure looks and sounds like.

NHTSA #11720405

When turning at a slow speed there is a clicking sound caused by a faulty CV joint. It appears re-engineered parts are not available. To repair the issue, the same parts are used, which are likely to keep failing.

NHTSA #11705765

Within 1K miles, both CV joints began to "click" when doing low speed turns -- or accelerating while turning. This is a VERY widely documented issue with the Honda Prologue. Just took the car in to my local (Honda Marin) dealership (car now has 5K miles). They verified the issue but stated Honda of America had no fix at this time -- and that it wasn't a safety concern. I'm not sure how this can be true -- when a CV joint fails, you no longer have power to the wheels.

NHTSA #11709923

The car has 3000 miles on it and the CV joints have failed. Every time I turn the car makes a clicking sound.

NHTSA #11703054

CV Axle makes a clicking noise whenever vehicle is making a turn from initial stop to acceleration. Vehicle started making noise at or around 7k miles from taking New Car Delivery.

NHTSA #11713941

CV axles clicking and now a slight vibration in the steering while driving at highway speeds. Also audible buzzing noticable. This started around 8000 miles , it now has 11000 and getting worse.

NHTSA #11726291

Hi, yes the component is the CV axle on the driver side front wheel. Whenever I make a left turn, the driver side CV axle makes a clicking noise. Also, sometimes, when I make a right turn, especially when going slower, the same drive side front wheel CV makes a clicking noise. It is available for inspection upon request. The safety seems OK, but we are fearful that is could break and cause an accident. We brought the the car to the Honda Norm Reeves in Cerritos on April 3rd, 2026, and the dealership told us it was a common issue. And right now there are no parts available for it. It's not a safety issue, so we shouldn't worry about it. So we took them at their word. But we are still nervous about it so which is why we're reporting it. The vehicle has not been inspected by manufacturer, police, or insurance representatives. There were not any symptoms of warning lamps or messages of the problem prior to failure.

NHTSA #11743037

Consistent clicking noise when turning steering wheel left or right from stopped to slow speeds. Noise observed around 1,200 miles. Both front CV joints/axels were replaced by dealership of purchase at approximately 3,200 miles. Identical clicking sounds have begun again. Vehicle has approximately 5,200. Issue has been reported to dealership of purchase again.

NHTSA #11704411

Being an AWD. There is a load knocking sound when accelerating from a stop to 30 mph while turning left or right. The frequency happens every time under those conditions. With my experience this knocking sound is indicating a bad CV Joint, axle, or transfer case.

The contact owns a 2025 Honda Prologue. The contact stated that while attempting to make a left turn, the contact heard a clicking sound coming from the driver’s side wheel. A dealer was contacted. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, and the contact was informed that the axles needed to be replaced on the front driver’s and passenger’s side. The vehicle was repaired, and the front axles were replaced; however, the failure persisted. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The contact was referred by the manufacturer to report the failure. The manufacturer informed the contact that the dealer would be contacted regarding the failure. The failure mileage was 3,573.

On March 18, 2026, while driving a leased Honda Prologue in rush-hour traffic on a major highway in [XXX] , the vehicle suddenly shut down and would not restart for approximately two minutes. The incident occurred without any warning messages, alerts, or notifications and created an extremely dangerous situation. At the time of the incident, traffic had been stop-and-go for approximately three miles. Without warning, the radio turned off, all dashboard lights went dark, and the vehicle lost power and stopped moving. I attempted to restart the car multiple times, but it would not turn on. On approximately the seventh or eighth attempt, the vehicle finally restarted, allowing me to safely pull off the highway. Fortunately, the slow-moving traffic prevented a rear-end collision with vehicles behind me. I began leasing the vehicle this past summer, and at the time of the incident it had fewer than 2,600 miles on the odometer. I took the vehicle to the dealership that same evening. During their inspection, the dealership identified several “Lost Communication” diagnostic trouble codes in the vehicle logs. The most significant code identified was B1B42 – Start/Stop Switch Not Plausible. The service team also noted that the manufacturer’s troubleshooting checklist references codes B1B15 or B1B15 2A; however, those codes were not present. Based on the findings, the dealership replaced the S38 Start/Stop Switch. I resumed driving the vehicle two days ago and have not yet experienced any further issues. However, I remain extremely concerned about the seriousness of this failure. If this same issue were to occur again at higher speeds or in faster-moving traffic, it could result in a severe accident. The complete loss of power without warning represents a significant safety risk and warrants further review. I leased a Honda Prologue on June 25, 2025. Approximately two months ago, I began noticing a noise coming from the front axles when turning left or right. I scheduled an appointment with my nearest Honda dealership and reported the issue. A few hours later, I was informed that the matter is currently under investigation and that Honda does not have a solution at this time. I also contacted Honda of America directly and was advised that there is still no resolution for this issue. My primary concern is safety. I am unsure whether this unresolved issue could develop into a more serious problem in the future, especially since this vehicle is regularly used by my wife to transport our son to school. This uncertainty is extremely concerning. I find it unacceptable and disrespectful for Honda to sell or lease a vehicle with a known defect and no available solution. I expect a reliable and safe vehicle, particularly from a brand with Honda’s reputation.

This issue has occurred twice. The first time was at approximately 3,000 miles, and the second time at around 7,200 miles. On both occasions, the vehicle lost power and displayed a warning message stating “Service High Voltage System” along with a “Reduced Speed” notification. During these events, the estimated driving range dropped significantly, charging was limited to approximately 25%, and acceleration was severely restricted, indicated by a turtle icon on the dashboard. After the first occurrence, the vehicle remained undrivable for approximately three days over Thanksgiving. By the time I was able to bring it to the dealership on the next available business day, the warning light had turned off. I was advised to bring the vehicle in immediately if the issue happened again. The issue did not reoccur for about three months. When it happened again, I was out of town and the estimated range dropped from over 100 miles to around 60 miles. I was able to make it home without requiring a tow and brought the vehicle to the dealership the following day. At check-in, the service advisor observed that the warning lights were still active. However, later that day I was informed that by the time the vehicle was inspected, the warning lights had turned off, and no action could be taken. Based on information found in online owner forums, this appears to be a known issue potentially related to a defective component. It has also been suggested that the issue is more likely to occur in colder conditions. Due to the unpredictability of this failure and the loss of power and range when it occurs, I do not feel confident in the reliability of the vehicle, particularly for longer trips or travel in remote areas.

I received another service high voltage system message literally weeks after I brought my vehicle in and had the issue fixed. I reported this issue last on 11/24/2025 it is now 12/19/2025 and it happened again. The heat in my vehicle seemed to stop working and was blowing cold air. This is just poor design and disgraceful.

While driving I received a warning that said “ service high voltage system” that came up on my dashboard. I have had my vehicle just for a couple of months and this is the second issue that I am having with the vehicle since purchasing it. I have taken it back to Honda who is now telling me that they have to do some tests to try and figure out the issue which seems to be a know issue which some forums show that may effect the heating system or cause you to need a complete battery replacement. I have my vehicle in service now waiting to see what the issue is but but for a brand new vehicle there has to be an even bigger problem if the issue is happening not only on my vehicle but on its sister vehicles as well the made by Chevy.

I have noticed a loud knocking sound coming from both the front right and left areas of the car when turning. I have read it may be a faulty CV joint but I am not sure. This issue arose before the car reached 6k miles. I believe these joints play a significant role in vehicle stability and safety. The axles on my vehicle are defective. Every time I make a turn (left, right, or U-turn) the vehicle makes a loud clicking noise. I’ve taken the vehicle in 3 times. Initially, Honda promised to fix the issue, yet each time I’ve gone in they always come up with an excuse (1st time: we ordered the wrong part, 2nd time: sorry we wasted your time today, the part still isn’t in yet, 3rd time: unfortunately Honda has released a bulletin, they are urging us not to replace the axles because it doesn’t fix the issue/does not pose a safety threat) this is after 3 TIMES. Each time my car was kept ALL day. Each time I would drop my car off at 8 am, and by the time I’m being called by my Honda service rep it’s already past 5 pm. My time has literally been wasted MULTIPLE TIMES. Why would you contact me to bring the car in so many times if you knew you were never going to fix the problem to begin with? The bulletin that was shown to me was released on 12/19/25. The problem is, the date that I was in (my 3rd and final time) was on 1/27/26. So why would you string me along for over a month if you knew that bulletin had already been released? Completely diabolical. Honda wasted my time and refuses to fix the problem. This vehicle is an issue and EVERYONE knows it. All of the Honda Prologue forums literally say the exact same thing from owners of this vehicle (AXLE ISSUES). This is a safety hazard. Clicking axles are not normal on a BRAND NEW car. Ridiculous. I’ve even tried to get out of my lease and they are not allowing me to (without penalty of course). I’m mad at myself for even purchasing this car. Shame on you Honda!!!

Two months and 3k miles into lease ownership of my 2025 Honda Prologue, the front suspension began making a loud creaking noise. The noise is most pronounced under acceleration and while turning, but also occurs over bumps and uneven road surfaces. It has progressively worsened over time. I brought the vehicle to my Honda dealership for diagnosis. The service department acknowledged the noise but returned the vehicle unfixed, stating Honda is "aware of the issue" and that it is "under investigation." They also stated it is "not safety related." No repair was performed. This appears to be a widespread defect affecting the 2024 Honda Prologue. Online forums, owner groups, and existing NHTSA complaints describe the same symptoms — creaking and clicking from the front suspension and CV axles, often appearing within the first few hundred to few thousand miles. Multiple owners report that even after axle replacements, the noise returns or is not resolved. Replacement parts have also been reported as backordered for extended periods. I am concerned this is a safety issue. A failing CV axle or compromised front suspension component could result in loss of vehicle control, particularly at highway speeds. The manufacturer's position that this is not safety related is inconsistent with the nature of the components involved. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate this defect and that Honda issue a formal recall or technical service bulletin with an effective, permanent repair.

The reverse (or backup) lighting on my 2025 Honda Prologue Elite is so useless it may as well not even exist. During the daytime, the reverse camera view is helpful and detailed. At night, or without bright ambient light, you can't even see beyond the rear bumper. Stepping on the brakes gives brief added light, though still not adequate. And you can't continue to press on the brake while backing up. This lack of lighting creates a significant safety hazard when backing up, parking, or checking surroundings at night.

Happens frequently. While it has not yet caused the vehicle to fully slam on the brakes, it will occasionally flash the brake warning and apply the brakes even when there are no obstacles present. Additionally, when backing out of the driveway, the vehicle sometimes detects the road surface as an obstruction and abruptly applies the brakes. This occurs consistently in the same location, likely due to the steep angle of the driveway.

On 2 occasions (before a dealer initiated system update), without anyone in jeopardy of being hit in front of me, my vehicle suddenly and shockingly halted - I had no idea what was happening and thought someone hit me from behind. First instance I was at a 4 way stop sign at a complete stop with much traffic in all directions. I had ample distance in front of me. Second instance, I was driving through a green light at an intersection - again not close to hitting anyone and in control of my brakes and speed, and my car stopped - almost causing the person behind me to hit me!!! It was a busy intersection!!! My dealer said they did a system update for my vehicle this past weekend, but the same thing happened again today in a busy intersection. Additionally; the organice brake warning randomly appears on my main control panel for no reason - when I have ample clear runway ahead of me!!! I am shook and so not feel safe in this vehicle. My elderly mother in law as a passenger on one of the instances nearly had a heart attack!!

The infotainment system screens go black sometimes for no reason. Been to the dealer to fix and they said they can’t duplicate the issue. Yet I have pictures and videos to prove it. The drivers assist systems turn themselves off when there is nothing blocking the cameras. Causing the one pedal driving to start applying the brakes and almost causing me to be rear ended multiple times. The AWD system is horrible. The traction control will turn on with cruise set and completely dry roads. But when it’s actively raining it slips and slides and hydroplanes do without activating any system to counteract it. The charger door was broken when I bought the vehicle and had to have it replaced. The charger itself sometimes says it can’t charge for some reason and I have to unplug it and plug it back in. The heater doesn’t get warm unless cranked to the highest setting otherwise it blows colder air. The dealership I took it to literally said they don’t want me to bring it in there anymore and to go to another dealership because and I quote “those guys know nothing about EVs so fuck them go to another dealership” the next closest dealership is 2 hours away and I work full time including weekends. So tell me how I’m supposed to make that work? The charger is now having an issue where it doesn’t charge and I have to remove the charger and plug it back in.

Multiple times, my REAR collision automatic braking has activated when in reverse while barely moving and the vehicle was not at risk of collision. After 2 incidents, I turned the system off. Incident 1) I was reversing into a parking spot with plenty of space and the vehicle automatically applied the brakes, aggressively. It made me think I hit something but there was nothing around the vehicle. Incident 2) I was on the street at a 4 way stop. Car turning in towards me was going to need more space, so I reversed and while inching backwards with a pedestrian on the SIDE of the vehicle walking forwards from my rear, the vehicle aggressively applied the brakes, causing my passengers to think I hit something- but again nothing around the vehicle that was at risk of being hit. It was after this second incident that I turned the system off.

Dealership couldn't find the issue and simply cleared the error codes telling me to come back in if it happens again. Huge issue, as it limits the range to protect the system from further issues but doesn't give me enough range to even drive home from work if the errors appears during my commute. Occasionally my front sensors don't work but give no indication of any issues, other times it notifies me that they need cleaned, but not always. Not reliable enough to trust in anything but perfect circumstances. I am also getting the CV joint clicking issue occasionally when turning, unsure if related to cold weather or not but it has only happened in 10-20 degree weather. Sounds very bad when it occurs, not very reassuring when driving a car with less than 6000 miles on it.

The vehicle makes a noticeable clicking sound when making routine left and right turns. This noise is not coming from the cabin of the vehicle, but sounds like it's coming from the wheels/axles. I have observed some level of clicking sound during turns since I purchased the vehicle in May 2025, but with each passing month, the volume and frequency of the clicking has increased. I now feel unsafe making any turns at 90 degrees or greater as the steering feels insecure and sounds indicate possible hazard/parts failure during vehicle operation. Almost all turns feel as though they are pushing the vehicle to the limit and I fear the parts/joints will fail while the vehicle is in operation. U-Turns are nearly out of the question. If a vehicle cannot safely and effectively make a greater degree of turn, then the turning radius should not allow a driver to put the vehicle into that position. However, for this vehicle, it seems almost any turning at all would then be completely impossible. As the car is still new and well within warranty, I will be taking it to my dealership for inspection and repair. The vehicle has never been in any type of collision or accident of any kind.

While driving with cruise control engaged, the car had a false positive for forward collision detection and slammed on the brakes at full Highway speed. After about one of second of emergency braking the car released the brakes and resumed cruise control as normal. There were NO other vehicles on the road in front or to the side of us at the time. Due to the unexpected braking, the vehicle following us almost collided into us. The event triggered just before the shadow of the bridge was on road of the underpass. I suspect it was the shadow that might have contributed to this event. However, this is not the first time the vehicle has had false positives in the forward collision detection system. We have experienced many of these, but typically at lower speeds. Generally speaking the “triple beep” and associated Heads Us Display red “brake” symbols briefly flash, then goes away without engaging the brakes automatically, again with these there are no other vehicles present. We have called two different dealers to report this and they tell us there is no associated TSB/service bulletin or recall for our vehicle and no software update for this. We tell them that GM has had several software updates for their Ultium platform with their other vehicles to fix this, but there is still nothing from Honda. There is a SB 25-051 for the 2024 prologues that would seem to address this but it’s not applicable to the 2025 according to them even though the symptoms are the same. The vehicle has twice displayed a “Service High Voltage System” warning followed by “Reduced Acceleration – Drive With Care.” When this occurs, the vehicle enters a reduced-power (turtle) mode that severely limits acceleration. Cabin heat also stopped working, and the vehicle would not charge beyond approximately 25%, restricting driving range. OnStar diagnostics reported a critical error. The vehicle and diagnostic history are available for inspection upon request. The first incident occurred while driving around town. Although I was close to home, the reduced acceleration created concern because the vehicle could not respond normally to traffic. The second incident was significantly more dangerous and occurred in heavy traffic and on the freeway about 40 miles from home during heavy rain. The limited acceleration made merging and maintaining a safe traffic speed difficult, placing myself and others at risk. I have only been able to get the dealer to take the vehicle in one time, specifically for this issue, and that was because the warning lights were still on at arrival. Staff observed the warnings at check-in, but by the time the vehicle reached the service area, the lights had cleared. The dealer stated they could not perform repairs without active warnings, though stored codes reportedly indicated a low-voltage condition. Additionally, a clicking noise from the wheel area began about 1,500 miles ago and occurs consistently when turning, similar to a CV axle concern. During a separate visit, the dealer put in writing that they could not do anything about the noise and did not diagnose or inspect it, which left me uneasy about potential drivetrain safety. The intermittent high-voltage fault, reduced acceleration, charging limitation, loss of heat, and unresolved drivetrain noise create ongoing safety concerns due to the unpredictable nature of the failures.

I recently purchased a 2025 Honda Prologue. I've had multiple issues with the advanced driver assistance systems. The rear automatic braking will slam the brakes on when I'm backing up if it detects something like a pedestrian on the sidewalk (that I am in no danger of hitting). I've also had issues with it misinterpreting where the lane lines are on the freeway, and automatically trying to incorrectly steer the car OUT of the lane, which is very dangerous, especially at freeway speeds. These systems can be disabled, but this must be done EVERY time you start the car. There is no way to completely turn them off and have them stay off. While I understand these systems were designed to improve safety, they are deeply flawed and actually make driving less safe. At the very least, there needs to be a way to permanently disable them. NHTSA needs to mandate that car companies, including Honda, offer drivers a choice to permanently disable these systems until the technology is much better than it currently is. Thank you.

My vehicle recently began displaying the error messages “Service High-Voltage System” and “Reduced Acceleration – Drive With Care.” Since these warnings appeared, my vehicle’s heating system no longer works at all. This defect creates multiple serious safety hazards: 1.No heat in cold weather: Temperatures in my area are currently around 42°F, and the cabin cannot warm up. This creates an unsafe temperature environment for myself and especially for my children while driving. 2.No ability to defrost windows: Without heat, the vehicle cannot defog or defrost the windshield or windows. This severely impacts visibility and creates a dangerous driving condition. 3.Reduced acceleration: The vehicle warns of reduced performance, which may affect my ability to safely merge, change lanes, or respond to traffic conditions. These issues began without warning, and the loss of heating combined with high-voltage system errors makes me concerned about a potential electrical or battery system failure. This is a significant safety concern that needs to be investigated, as the vehicle is not safe to operate in its current state. I request that NHTSA look into this issue, as other owners have reported experiencing this same dangerous combination of high-voltage errors and loss of essential climate-control functions with no resolution from the manufacturer.

The vehicle was brought to a local Honda dealership, yet they were unable to draw any conclusions regarding why the unexpected acceleration event occurred. The vehicle owner requested a DTC scan report and EDR (event data recording) data from the vehicle, and received the DTC report but not EDR data. The issue involves a failure of the braking system and related electronic control systems in a 2025 Honda Prologue. Prior to the failure, the vehicle displayed repeated warning messages including “Single Pedal Unavailable” and “Auto Hold Unavailable.” These warnings began appearing within approximately three weeks of taking delivery and became more frequent over time. The primary safety incident occurred while driving on a highway. Multiple warning indicators appeared simultaneously, including battery and maintenance alerts, and the vehicle began to decelerate automatically. When the brake pedal was applied, the brakes were completely unresponsive, creating a life-threatening situation. I was forced to continue driving for approximately one mile before bringing the vehicle to a stop using the parking brake. This incident placed both myself and other road users at significant risk due to the inability to slow or stop the vehicle under normal braking conditions at highway speed. The vehicle was towed to a Honda dealership (Folsom Lake Honda) for inspection and repair. The dealer returned the vehicle stating that the issue had been addressed. However, the same warning messages reappeared, and a second incident involving brake malfunction occurred, confirming that the problem was not resolved. The issue has been inspected by an authorized Honda service center, and the vehicle was diagnosed and repaired once, but the defect recurred after the repair. The vehicle has also been reported to the manufacturer (American Honda Motor Co.) for further action. This is a serious safety concern involving loss of braking capability at highway speeds, and the problem has occurred more than once despite attempted repairs.

My 2025 Honda Prologue Touring, purchased in August and currently with only 7,000 miles, is experiencing multiple serious safety issues. The vehicle has already had both the left and right axles replaced. by warranty Now, the left axle is failing again. A defective axle can break at high speeds, which puts my entire family at risk, including my baby. This issue compromises vehicle stability and could easily lead to a serious accident. Additionally, the vehicle’s collision mitigation system activates unexpectedly, causing the car to brake on its own without any obstacle present. This sudden braking is extremely dangerous, especially on the highway, as it could result in a rear-end collision. The blind-spot indicators also activate at random. When I attempt to turn right or left, the blind-spot warning turns on even when I double-check and confirm that there are no vehicles anywhere near me. This creates confusion and hesitation while driving, increasing the risk of a crash. Given the repeated axle failures, unintended braking, and malfunctioning blind-spot monitoring system, I believe the vehicle presents significant safety defects that require investigation.

The contact owns a 2025 Honda Prologue. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, there was a clicking sound coming from the front wheels while turning in either direction. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, who diagnosed that the CV axle was faulty and needed to be replaced. The CV axle was replaced, and the vehicle was repaired; however, approximately 2,500 miles later, the failure reoccurred. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, who diagnosed that the replacement CV axle had also failed. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The contact stated that the Forward Collision Avoidance system had malfunctioned and erroneously indicated to stop the vehicle, although no other vehicles or objects were nearby. The vehicle also abruptly stopped in the middle of the road on several occasions with no other vehicles or objects nearby. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The local dealer was notified, but no assistance was offered. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was 2,000.

When reversing in a dark or low light area I can't see behind the vehicle on the backup camera display. It seems like there is no night vision and the reverse lights don't illuminate behind the vehicle enough to see in the display or the rearview mirror. I've almost backed into objects because you cannot see behind the vehcle.

Drop off a few days after receiving vehicle. Picked up and dropped back off the same day due to issue repeating it self after being told there was no issue. Parts were supposedly replace on one of the occasions. No real time spent on the vehicle according to invoices. 8/28/25 -9/4/25 9/4/25 - 9/15/25 9/24/25 - 10/14/25 I have brought the car in for the same problem multiple times without it being rectified. I currently have videos and pictures from when this started to this current time. There are also other customers that have the same complaints that I do. Below is a list of issues that have been going on since first complaint including continued first complaint. I do believe that this is an issue and is a danger due to the reverse camera glitching due to the screen, not being able to get out of the screen, sometimes can not leave a parking space due to the sensor says that there is something in the way where indeed there is nothing. Also can not pull out of drive way during snow due to the car automatically breaking for snow. The collision for the front is always going off when there is no need for it to go off as this can cause someone to unexpectedly stop due to this being something that is supposed to be a warning. If this could happen to the vehicle constantly without a solution then this could be connected to something much more serious. There are other issues that have gone on as well that I have slowly started to notice and pay attention to. I do believe that the amount I am paying for this car it should not have these issues with out explanation. Clearly this is common and on going. One thing can lead to another with these issues. The screen in the middle of the dashboard —- Screen goes black for no known reason Screen flashing Screen is rainbow Touch screen will not work at these times When screen is glitching you can not turn volume down or off, disconnect phone, charging port goes out. Can not back out of parking space due to sensors going off.

Electrical System,Visibility/Wiper1 queja

The camera visibility systems on this vehicle become extremely dark and largely unusable at night. This affects multiple cameras, including the rear backup camera, which is the most problematic. In low-light conditions, the display does not provide a usable image of the area around or behind the vehicle. When reversing at night, the rear camera image becomes so dark that pedestrians, obstacles, or other vehicles behind the car cannot be seen. This creates a significant safety hazard because the driver cannot rely on the camera system to safely maneuver or reverse the vehicle. All rear lights and exterior lighting on the vehicle are functioning properly, which suggests the issue is related to the camera system itself, image processing, or the vehicle’s configuration for low-light conditions rather than a lighting failure. Because the rearview camera system is intended to provide rear visibility and prevent back-over incidents, the system failing to provide a usable image at night defeats its intended safety purpose and creates a risk of a back-over crash or collision. The issue has been persistent since the vehicle was delivered and occurs consistently during nighttime operation and other low-light conditions. The rear visibility system appears unable to perform its intended safety function under normal nighttime driving conditions, raising concerns about whether the system is functioning as required under Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 111 (Rear Visibility).

The contact drove to another charging station and received a charge now message to slow down, and the vehicle shut down. Additionally, the accelerator pedal was depressed, but the vehicle went into neutral. While driving 60-65 MPH, the vehicle went to 70 percent charge. The contact was unable to locate the hazard lights. The contact called OnStar, who contacted Honda for a jumpstart. Another tow company was contacted, who was unable to tow the vehicle due to the vehicle not shifting into neutral. The contact stated that another driver notified her that the headlights were off. Suspension,Power Train,Wheels1 queja

I am reporting multiple safety-related failures with my 2025 Honda Prologue. The vehicle has an unresolved drivetrain/axle defect that affects safe operation, and the dealer has stated that axle components are on backorder with no repair timeline. In addition, the main vehicle control screen completely blacked out and will not turn back on. This screen controls critical vehicle and charging functions. Without it, I cannot control charging or access essential vehicle systems, rendering the vehicle unsafe and effectively unusable. Further, the charging port sensor failed to alert me that the charging port was open. Because no warning was provided, the port remained open and subsequently broke. This represents a failure of a safety-related sensor system that directly impacts the vehicle’s ability to charge and operate properly. The dealer has not provided a loaner vehicle or alternative transportation despite the vehicle being unsafe to operate. These combined defects substantially impair the safety, use, and value of the vehicle.
