Cv axles on the car has been clicking when turning and driving forward and back, they have been replaced once on once side. I’ve taken the car to the dealer ship 4 times Monday may 4 2026 was the last time I took it. It’s currently there as I’m typing this, the driver axle also locked in my once when Turing in a parking lot making loud pops. The last 3 times dealer ship said they can’t do nothing.
NHTSA #11736187
I hear a sharp clicking noise when I make turns, indicating an issue with the CV joint. The car had this issue when I leased it brand new. I didn’t think much of the sound because I had previously had a routine maintenance checkup at Honda and they never mentioned any issues. Car had less than 15k miles on it. Upon researching, I realized that this is a potentially major issue with the vehicle, and could cause harm on the road in the even the front axle fails.
NHTSA #11733773
The CV axles on my vehicle are making a loud, rhythmic clicking noise, especially when accelerating or turning. This issue has become progressively worse and is now occurring during most driving maneuvers. My primary safety concern is a catastrophic mechanical failure where the axle could break or seize while the vehicle is in motion, leading to a sudden loss of power to the wheels or a potential loss of steering control. This poses a significant risk of a crash on the road.
NHTSA #11729238
Front axles/CV Joints make a crunching noise at low speeds when turning left or right. 2024 Honda Prologue with less than 5,500 miles on it. I'm afraid this may become a safety issue the more I drive the vehicle. I have not had the vehicle inspected yet at a dealer or otherwise, but I've noticed this issue reported in multiple Honda Prologue forums. There are no warning lights, but the noise coming from both wheel wells is consistant and noticeable.
NHTSA #11725072
The CV joints is failing. The first time Honda replaced the drive shaft. There is a new failing CV joint. Honda will not replace it.
NHTSA #11721560
CV joint failure/noise observed during low-speed turns. Clicking/popping sound from front axle area. Issue appears to worsen over time and may impact drivability and safety.
NHTSA #11735106

The driver's side CV axle has developing a clunking noise.
NHTSA #11735858
My honda prologue has just hit the 4000 miles I've own this car for 6 days only driven it for 200 miles and the cv joint is going out it clicks when I turn sharp right and when I reverse.
NHTSA #11717103
The CV joints began clicking when turning at low speed and were repaired under warranty by the dealer. Dealer warned this is happening with lots of Prologues and might recur. Now approaching 7000 miles and the problem is occurring again, requiring further service. It doesn't appear that the replacement/fix is actually better, so the problem just keeps happening.
NHTSA #11713829
2024 Honda Prologue Elite AWD experiences severe drivetrain shudder, banging, and lurching when turning at or near full steering lock at low speeds (e.g., parking lots, U-turns, three-point turns). Severity increases significantly in cold ambient temperatures (below approximately 32°F). The front axle feels as though it is binding and releasing repeatedly, causing the entire vehicle to lurch violently. The condition is present from cold start and does not fully resolve even after the drivetrain warms up after several minutes of driving. The vehicle has been to an authorized Honda dealer three times in approximately one month for this same condition, all under warranty, between approximately 7,660–7,675 miles: Visit 1: Dealer verified failed outer CV joint on left front half shaft. Left front half shaft assembly replaced. Visit 2: Right front half shaft outer CV joint diagnosed as failing. Right front half shaft assembly replaced. Visit 3: Binding and lurching returned in both directions. Both left and right front half shaft assemblies replaced again. Vehicle held approximately two weeks waiting for parts. In total, four front half shaft assemblies have been replaced across three warranty repairs using the same GM part number. The condition returned immediately upon picking up the vehicle after the third repair. While severity is somewhat reduced, the shudder, binding, and lurching during turning persists. This is not a minor clicking noise as some owners have reported — the vehicle lurches and bangs enough to affect steering control. During a test drive, the foreman acknowledged this was clearly a safety issue. The violent lurching during low-speed turns reduces driver control and steering predictability in parking lots, intersections, and residential areas where pedestrians are present. The abrupt jolting could cause a driver to instinctively brake or overcorrect. No warning lamps or DTCs were present during any failure. Symptoms are purely mechanical.
NHTSA #11719779
When you turn left or right, there a cracking sound from the front axel.
NHTSA #11712541
My 2024 Honda Prologue is experiencing ongoing drivetrain issues that include noise, vibration, clunking, and a binding sensation. These symptoms occur during turning, accelerating, and at low speeds. I brought the vehicle to the dealer, and they inspected it, but they told me there is no solution available yet and advised me to wait. The dealer has not replaced any parts, and the issue continues. At this time, I have not experienced loss of control or steering failure, but the symptoms are persistent and concerning. Based on widespread reports from other Prologue owners, this appears to be a developing pattern that may indicate a defect in the axle, driveshaft, CV joint, or related front‑end components. I am reporting this so NHTSA is aware of the issue and can investigate.
NHTSA #11732952
Excessive clicking and popping while turning wheels left or right. Ive been to the dealer to replace this going on two times now. Its clear its the axles (CV JOINTS). All of the forums say the same thing. Chevy co-produced this car and Honda was well aware of the problems the BLAZER EV has.My salesman said they are not aware of the problem but the service appointment scheduler said "if its a Prologue, plan on leaving it a while" Waiting for this to be a full blown recall.
NHTSA #11709425
The contact owns a 2024 Honda Prologue. The contact stated that after shifting into reverse, the vehicle failed to respond as needed. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, and a transmission software update was performed, and the vehicle was repaired. The contact was concerned that the failure might recur and no longer drove the vehicle. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 19,000.
NHTSA #11743783
Turning at low speed, a low clicking sound comes from the front of the vehicle constantly.
NHTSA #11714868
When making sharp turns, the vehicle makes a clicking sound. Honda indicates they are currently investing the issue but at this time does not have a solution. This issue has been ongoing since the vehicle was acquired in August 2024. The issue is worse when turning to the left, and during cold weather.
NHTSA #11707519
CV joints are making clicking noises. Started with right side at about 14k miles and then the left side around 16k. Took car to dealership to address as its under warranty. They said they have heard about it but did not know if Honda would replace. I am waiting to hear back from dealership.
NHTSA #11706434
CV shaft is clicking when turning the wheel.. 6,100 miles
NHTSA #11710585
I am reporting a safety-related concern involving the right front axle on my 2024 Honda Prologue. When making right-hand turns at low speeds, the vehicle produces a loud clicking noise coming from the right front axle/CV joint area. The noise is repeatable and occurs consistently during turning maneuvers. I reported this issue to my authorized Honda dealership. On 05/21/2026, I dropped the vehicle off for inspection and repair. During the service visit, the technician acknowledged the concern and its happening with other Honda Prologue vehicles. No definitive safety repair or corrective action was provided at that time. I am reporting this concern because it involves a potential drivetrain/axle issue that may impact vehicle reliability and safe operation during turning conditions.
NHTSA #11739384
At low speeds, when I turn my steering wheel more than 45° left or right, I hear a loud clicking sound as if the steering is failing
NHTSA #11737004
I am the owner of a 2024 Honda Prologue Touring Sport Utility FWD 2WD. I am reporting a defect involving a clicking/ratcheting noise originating from the front CV joint/drive axle when turning the steering wheel, most notably during left turns and when the steering wheel auto-centers after a turn. The noise is consistent and reproducible. This is not an isolated issue — Honda itself acknowledged the problem in a December 19, 2025 Tech Line Summary Article applicable to all 2024–2026 Prologue vehicles, confirming a "clicking or ratcheting type noise when turning" caused by the front drive axles. Hundreds of other Prologue owners have filed identical complaints with the NHTSA. I have not yet had the vehicle repaired as replacement parts have been reported to be on extended backorder at dealerships nationwide, and multiple owners have reported the clicking returning after axle replacement, suggesting the replacement parts share the same defect. I am concerned this defect poses a safety risk, as the clicking has grown more pronounced over time and the integrity of the CV joint/axle directly affects vehicle control during turning. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate this issue and compel Honda to issue a formal recall and supply properly redesigned replacement parts.
NHTSA #11729205
CV joints make a knocking sound when turning - this is a well-known issue lacking an official recall from GM/Honda to repair
NHTSA #11734682
The front axel makes a terrible clicking or clunking sound when turning. This seems to be a common problem with these cars and my concern it the axel will break or wear down to the point of failure.
NHTSA #11725394
Cluck noise when turning at slow speed leaking oil both sides from the axel
NHTSA #11741340
The issue appears to involve the steering, front axle or front drivetrain assembly. When turning the steering wheel, particularly at low speeds such as during parking maneuvers or tight turns, there is a distinct clicking or popping sound coming from the front axle area both left and right side The noise is mechanical in nature and occurs repeatedly when the steering angle increases. This behavior suggests a possible issue with the front axle shaft, (CV) joint, or related drivetrain components. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. A clicking or popping sound from the front axle during turning can be an early indicator of drivetrain component wear or failure, particularly involving CV joints or axle shafts. If a front axle or joint were to fail while the vehicle is in motion, it could result in sudden loss of propulsion to the wheel or compromised control during turning. Because this noise occurs during routine driving maneuvers, it raises concern that a critical drivetrain component may be prematurely failing. A failure during a turn, intersection maneuver, or while entering traffic could create a hazardous situation for the driver and surrounding vehicles. I’m concerned because I had a similar issue with a 1994 Honda Accord; the CV boots were bad and there was a risk (I was told) that the front suspension could collapse while driving especially on highway. The condition is easily reproducible during low-speed turning and parking maneuvers and occurs consistently when the steering wheel is turned to moderate or higher angles. At this time the vehicle has not yet undergone a full diagnostic evaluation by a dealer, but the symptom is repeatable under normal driving conditions. It was noted on test drive upon purchase. Salesperson dismissed it was part of “regenerative braking.” It did undergo multipoint inspection as part of CPO process prior to purchase. It was "cleared" for CPO and purchase.

Clicking in both right and left axle CV joint when making sharp turns at low speed. Honda tech states: No visible damage, will not fix. Safe to drive
NHTSA #11719524
driver's side front CV joint clicking when car accelerates from a stop while the wheel is turned, such as when pulling out of a driveway. Apparently this is a commonly known issue.
NHTSA #11722977
Often at times when turning, I hear a clicking noise. Was informed it could be CV joints. Went to Honda and was told they can't do nothing about it at this time.
NHTSA #11723756
When turning right or left during 90-degree turns or U-turns, a loud clicking noise is heard. Already had the front axle replaced during first maintenance and the problem came back within 2 months of normal driving.
NHTSA #11716254
Every time I make a sharp turn left from a stop position and accelerate a bit I hear this loud clicking sound coming from the front end of the vehicle. From what I can see from the research I've done this is a known issue by the manufacturer and I have already schedule a day to go to the dealer to demand a repair since my car is still under warranty. It's worth noting I have only a month with the car but I bought used with almost 16K miles.

NHTSA #11717236
Clicking/tapping noise heard when turning either left or right.
NHTSA #11715524
The Sound: A loud clicking, clunking, or "popping" noise coming from the front wheels. When it happens: It is most noticeable when turning the steering wheel (especially sharp turns at low speeds) or accelerating from a stop. The Issue: The Constant Velocity (CV) joints in the front axles may be defective or prone to premature wear.

Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Persistent CV Joint Clicking Noise I am writing to formally document an ongoing issue with the constant velocity (CV) joints in my vehicle, which produce a noticeable clicking noise during low-speed turns, particularly at 90-degree intersections. This concern was first reported to my Honda dealer shortly after I leased the vehicle. At that time, the noise was intermittent; however, it has since progressed and now occurs consistently with every such maneuver.I understand that this is a recognized issue within Honda service departments. However, I maintain that audible clicking from CV joints under these conditions is not normal or acceptable wear behavior for a vehicle of this age and mileage.I am particularly concerned about vehicle safety, as steering and drivetrain integrity are critical to safe operation. The increasing frequency and volume of the noise suggest potential degradation that could compromise safety over time. Additionally, given that the vehicle utilizes a GM-derived chassis, I worry that this shared platform may contribute to reluctance from either manufacturer to implement a permanent resolution.Honda service representatives have informed me that there is no known permanent fix and that replacement of the CV joints merely delays the recurrence of the symptom. This issue is noted heavily on Internet forums, too. I respectfully request this be considered by NHTSA for manufacturer recall.

I need NHTSA assisting in resolving safety recall # 26V112, Instrument Panel and Rearview Camera Displays May Fail/FMVSS 101,111,305. I took my Honda Prologue vehicle to Honda dealer for the recall to be address. The dealer started the update process but failed to complete the update process and is now refusing to continue with the safety recall. The update process is to bring the vehicle operating system to the new and improved version to address failures as reported. The operating system that has the known failures is version Android 12, released in April of 2024. The new and improved operating system is version Android 14, released in May of 2025. This new and improved version were release to address the known failures. My vehicle is still operating on the same outdated operating version (Android 12) knows to have these failures. I have been in contact with Honda corporate trying to address this safety recall to no avail. I need assisting in resolving this safety recall as I do not feel safe driving my vehicle on the road. I am requesting a response regarding this matter.
NHTSA #11728853
Today, my Honda dealer said they will not perform the update needed for Manufacturer Recall Number XNK and NHTSA Recall Number 26V-112 because it failed on another vehicle last week. They have no ETA.
NHTSA #11723042
I have a 2024 Honda Prologue that has 8000 miles. When making left turns, the car has made very loud and clicking noises from the front axles that are very disturbing and startled me while driving. It occurred again. I am taking the car to the dealer for inspection. But it has been confirmed by the dealer that there is an axle problem and they have not been able to get the right part to repair/replace. There were no warning issues prior to the incident. My passengers and I were jarred by the loud noise but we were all seatbelted.
NHTSA #11723235
Vehicle Information Year: 2024 Make: Honda Model: Prologue Purchase Date: February 10, 2025 Mileage at Time of Issue: Approximately 40,654 miles Date Problem Occurred: February 19, 2026 Complaint Description: I purchased a brand-new 2024 Honda Prologue on February 10, 2025. On February 19, 2026, I received a warning message on the dashboard that stated “Service High Voltage System.” At the time the warning appeared, the vehicle had approximately 40,654 miles on the odometer. This warning concerns me because the high-voltage system is a critical component of the vehicle’s electric power train. A malfunction in this system could potentially affect the vehicle’s ability to operate safely, charge properly, or maintain normal performance. Since this is an electric vehicle, any issue with the high-voltage system could create a safety risk, especially if the vehicle were to lose power or fail while driving. I am submitting this complaint so the issue can be documented and investigated in case other 2024 Honda Prologue vehicles experience the same problem. At the time of submitting this report, I am not aware of a recall addressing this issue. I will be taking the vehicle to a Honda dealership for inspection and will keep records of any diagnosis, warning codes, or repairs related to this problem.

The microphone for hands-free calling in the vehicle is not installed properly. It is well known that at the factory where they made these Prologues, they accidentally left the plastic on the microphone, and also did not click it into its place. The microphone is currently floating somewhere in my ceiling, sealed in a plastic wrapper. Whenever I try to use hands-free calling, nobody can ever hear me, so I have to take my hands off the wheel and eyes off the road, pick up my phone, switch it to speaker, and then I will be able to talk to people. This is a major safety concern caused by human error at the factory. It defeats the purpose of hands-free calling, increases the risk of a crash, and forces people to break the hands-free law in most states. Because it is not easy to remove panels and access the microphone floating in the ceiling, this should be recalled.

Component: Front CV joints making clicking sound while turning. Safety risk: CV joints are critical to maintaining the car's speed and stability on the road, which in turn guards the safety of occupants. Reproduction: The problem is consistently heard while turning. Inspections: The problem is well known across owner forums and Honda is aware of it. Warning messages: None. The problem is mechanical and is manifested through noise during normal driving conditions.

Hondalink cannot stay linked to the car and frequently will not connect at all. Last week, the car locked with my keys inside, and Hondalink could not connect to unlock the car, keeping me locked out with my sleeping child in the car until someone could bring me my spare key to get in. This was terrifying and a huge safety risk.
NHTSA #11705687
The axle on the vehicle clicks when turning. Honda offered to replace the part and I took the vehicle in, only to be told that Honda is not fixing this part because it is a known defect with no fix. This was in December 2025. As of this date, no fix has been found. Additionally, the driver’s side window makes a ton of wind noise when driving over 30mph. Honda failed to find the cause for the issue and could not fix the car after having it for over a week in early 2025.
NHTSA #11729303
My issue is the cv axles , when I am turning clicking noise is coming from the front . I brought the car to the dealership and the told me Honda said not to replace, because is some lawsuit and under investigation .There should be a recall soon with this issue. I can’t give the car back and Honda has the dealer and customer hand tied up. NHTSA this a known issue and Honda and GM new about this and will not help, can this be a safety issue yes , just wait until a wheel comes off when doing 60 miles per hour and somebody gets killed they it will be a recall.
NHTSA #11745501
While taking right or left turns after being at a stop, there is a clicking noise, caused by the CV joint. We have only had the vehicle one week and noticed it instantly.
NHTSA #11732863
My front end suspension started making a popping noise. I took it to my local Honda dealer and they said it was a known issue but we don’t have any directive to fix or replace any parts yet. They also said that it’s safe to drive with this condition. I disagree, and expect a recall to be tied to my vin number and many others to force Honda and GM to get it resolved asap before our warranties are up. What has happened to our civil rights? Our lemon law? What if our front end gives away while driving at highway speeds?
NHTSA #11725994
I brought in my car for a software udpate recall this past Saturday 21MAR26. I also mentioned that at low speeds and turning the wheel I can hear a clicking sound from the front axel. The software recall was addressed but the dealership mentioned that that there is a known issue with front axle CV joints but at this time the car is still driveable.

I have just over 8,000 miles, and now when I turn left or right there is clicking sounds coming from the front suspension (left tire area when turning left, right tire area when turning right). I've had the vehicle (bought used) for about 1500 miles now. I don't notice anything other than the clicking sound, but I'm afraid that there might be more wrong with the suspension. I plan on going to the dealer to look at it.
NHTSA #11714180
The CV joints are making a clicking noise now every time I turn and I’m starting to notice that there is some sticking when that happens. It would be available for inspection on request. Yes the dealer acknowledged the failure, but says the parts to fix it our back ordered and so has told me twice to just bring the car back at a later date. There are no warning lamps.
NHTSA #11728630
Clicking noise when turning left signs of a failed CV joint
NHTSA #11709415
The CV Joints on both sides of the front axel (left and right) were failing and replaced in December. They are already failing again and have to be replaced again. But Honda is just replacing them with the same parts, seemingly unconcerned that it poses a significant safety risk. Here is the summary as I understand it: A failing CV joint on a Honda Prologue often starts with clicking/popping noises when turning, vibrations, and potential power loss, but can escalate to the joint disintegrating, causing the axle to break, leading to the wheel locking up and potential loss of control, making the vehicle undrivable and unsafe. Many owners report issues with premature CV axle failure, characterized by these symptoms, sometimes leading to a complete axle replacement under warranty. The clunking noise is what has been the biggest teller for us, confirmed upon inspection. This started around 8k miles and was repaired around 8,900 miles. We're at 9,100 miles and it is failing again (january). It is covered under warranty - for now. But since they're just replacing them with the original parts that are failing (presumably because of the weight of the vehicle) this will keep happening. I shudder to think not only of the safety issues but the potential cost once the warranty ends - which isn't much longer.

RE: Unrepaired Recalls associated with this VIN [XXX] Feb 26,2026 Manufacturer Recall NumberXNK NHTSA Recall Number26V-112 My name is [XXX] , I lease a 2024 Honda Prologue. I received a recall and took my car to Crown Honda in St Petersburg, Fl to have it done. I’ve been there 4 times to have it done and it failed 3 of the 4 times. The 4th time, they only did a partial update and told me it was complete and are telling me if I want more it’s going to cost me. I discovered they did not perform the Recall update. The paperwork they gave me shows it has to be a USB update. I know from my experience and my background of decades in the computer technology business, that they have minimal experience in that field. I called Honda corporate and they told me it was my problem and to go to another dealer. I’m hoping you may be able to help me out and contact them to get my updates performed. My recall shows it is a serious matter. As of this date and your records confirm, the recall is still incomplete. While driving at freeway speeds, a red check engine warning appeared along with a “Service High Voltage System” message. Immediately afterward, the vehicle’s heater stopped working, causing the windshield to fog up. I had to pull over safely and manually clear the windshield before driving the vehicle to the dealership.

Service High Voltage System alarm + Service Vehicle Soon alarm warning. This with no heat while driving at 10,836 miles. Took in to dealer for service and reportedly a known problem with the freon system and end cap. My thought is this should be a recall fix by Honda/GM because there are many many complaints of it amongst 2024 Prologue Owners.

When turning, accelerating and/or decelerating I hear a clicking sound coming from the rear of my car. My initial determination is the infamous cv joint/axle clicking sound. I have a service scheduled with dealer in a couple of days (5/6/26) to review. I did not receive any error or warning messages. The problem started yesterday (5/3/26).

Clicking sound coming from the front axle when turning and at acceleration when first driving off. I contacted my Honda dealership to schedule an appointment so they can inspect the vehicle. They said that at this time they do not have a fix and Honda is aware of the problem, but no recall has been issued.

There is a knocking/clicking sound when I accelerate and turn. It sounds like a CV joint. I had it evaluated by the dealer today and they reported they heard it once, but could not reproduce the problem, so they tightened some bolts, but that was all. As soon as I left the dealer it made the noise coming out of the dealer's driveway and multiple times on the way home. I have scheduled another appointment for tomorrow, but I don't see how they could not reproduce the problem. It's very obvious.

Vehicle only has 13K miles and is one year old, and is making a clicking noise when turning. Especially noticeable when it's cold or I just started driving the vehicle. Called Honda Dealership and the service advisor acknowledged that they're aware of this problem but do not have the parts available to fix it. I believe this vehicle has a problem with defective CV joints/ankle. I was told they would put me on a list and contact me when backordered parts are available, but I'm not sure if I can believe I'll be contacted.

On 04/15/2026, at approximately 13,130 miles, my 2024 Honda Prologue began making a loud, repetitive clicking, popping, and clunking noise from the front axle area. This mechanical noise is highly pronounced when turning sharply at low speeds, such as pulling out of a parking space or turning at an intersection. I took the vehicle to Delta Honda in Antioch, CA on 04/16/2026. They acknowledged the noise but refused to replace the part, citing Honda's guidance that this issue does not impact normal driving. I am filing this complaint because this is a severe safety defect. The CV joint is a critical drivetrain component, and these symptoms are classic indicators of premature mechanical failure. I am highly concerned that the CV axle could fail catastrophically while driving at higher speeds or in traffic. A structural failure of this component could result in a sudden loss of motive power, wheel lock-up, or a total loss of steering control, putting myself, my passengers, and other motorists at imminent risk of a crash. Honda's failure to provide a permanent, safe remedy for this widespread and known defect is unacceptable.

The contact owns a 2024 Honda Prologue. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle made an abnormal clicking sound. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was test-driven, and the dealer confirmed that the vehicle made an abnormal clicking sound while turning. The contact was informed that it was a common failure; however, no diagnostic information was provided. The dealer informed the contact that the repair was pending approval. The contact stated that the vehicle was covered under warranty. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted. The failure mileage was 51,064.

Axels make a clicking noise when making a sharp turn from a stop. Axel failure can lead to catastrophic accident. Dealer inspected and confirmed noise. Dealer advised that Honda is refusing to replace the axel under warranty with the current available part. the noise is evidence of parts of the axel assembly making contact when they are not supposed to which will inevitably lead to failure which makes this a serious safety issue. Honda is supposedly aware of the issue and is working on a fix. This has been a known failure issue since the car was released. Honda has had more than enough time to fix it. It's failure to so so on such a critical part is inexcusable.

The left front CV joint or drive axel is starting to fail. There is a clicking/popping noise when accelerating from a sharp turn. The noise is getting worse as I drive the car and will probably lead to premature failure of the CV joint/drive axel which is a huge safety risk since it may cause loss of acceleration and/or loss of steering. The problem was confirmed by Sons Honda of McDonough, GA. Honda has issued a "Tech Line Summary Article" on December 19, 2025, for the problem. Here are the details: The problem affects all trims of the 2024 - 2026 Honda Prologue. SYMPTOM: Customers may complain of a clicking or ratcheting type noise when turning. DIAGNOSIS: If you verify the noise and isolate it to the drive axles, inspect for any damage and repair as necessary. If you do not find any damage, do not attempt any repairs. TEMPORARY SOLUTION: Advise the customer that the clicking noise will not impact normal driving and the symptom is currently being investigated.

The infotainment screen during driving goes black and resets. While not necessary to perform vehicle function, I am concerned it is tied to other parts of the car that could cause a safety incident.
NHTSA #11743100
The onboard navigation and entertainment system, including both the primary dashboard/driver interface and the center console, went fully black for over 1 minute while driving on the highway. When the screen is blank, no input is available from the vehicle as to speeds, behavior of cruise control, warning systems such as lane control, front rear and side awareness, operator awareness of speed, other vehicle warnings. Bringing to dealer today. this is the 2nd time this has occurred. The first time was in December. Vehicle was brought to dealer for software update. Update “bricked” the car, and a new radio module needed to be ordered. This took about 6 weeks. Module installed, software was updated, and this was to have addressed the issue. While records may indicate that the update was not yet performed on the vehicle, it was fully updated and the vehicle (according to the dealer) is fully up to date and the recall for it has been addressed with the software update. However, the update did not address the issue. No other inspections have occurred to date. No other symptoms or warning lights.

I took delivery of my new 2024 Honda Prologue in 2024. After driving approximately 2,000 miles, I noticed a clicking noise coming from the front axle area, especially during low-speed turns and parking maneuvers. I first brought the vehicle to AutoNation Honda in Costa Mesa, California, the dealership where I purchased it. They inspected the vehicle and reported finding no issue, so no repairs were performed. As the noise continued and worsened over the following months, I took the vehicle to Jerry Seiner Honda in San Juan Capistrano, California. Their service department diagnosed the clicking noise as originating from both front axles. Both front axles were replaced on October 28, 2025, which initially resolved the problem. However, the identical clicking noise has now returned. As of April 18, 2026, the condition is present again and requires further repair. THIS CONDITION IS NOT SAFE. The vehicle is still under lease with 19 payments remaining. This appears to be a recurring issue with the 2024 Honda Prologue. See NHTSA complaint ID XXX (and related complaints) for numerous similar reports of front axle / CV joint clicking noises on this model. On April 5, 2026, I was stopped at a busy intersection waiting to turn left. When I proceeded through the light, the car's sensor suddenly went off and the car braked violently. I thought I had hit something in the road. (I was driving in one pedal mode). There was nothing in the road, and I had not collided with anything. The car just decided to brake because it incorrectly sensed something in my way. I was almost rear ended, and it was very frightening. My safety was at risk as well as the person behind me. I have an appointment with the service department at the dealership to address it. This car has been in for service 5 times in the 18 months I have leased it. I have complained to the dealer multiple times, and they have basically ignored me.
NHTSA #11729593
The system does not reliably "see" pedestrians or cross traffic or often times will phantom brake when there are no obstacles viewable. I believe this is a substantial safety issue because the car will abruptly stop without warning and engage a parking brake, creating a delay before being able to vacate traffic. This has happened going forward, but more frequently in reverse. This appears to happen more during inclement weather or in the dark.

When turning left or right, the vehicle produces a distinct clicking sound from the front drivetrain or steering area. This issue was first noticed on January 22, 2025 and has continued to occur since that time. I have reported the problem to the dealership on multiple occasions; however, the concern is no longer being documented on my service receipts despite my attempts to have it addressed. The persistent clicking noise raises concern about a possible defect involving the axle, CV joint, steering components, or the electric drivetrain system. If a related component were to fail while the vehicle is in motion, it could result in loss of propulsion, steering impairment, or sudden mechanical failure during a turn, increasing the risk of a crash. The dealership has indicated that the manufacturer is aware of the issue but has not yet provided a repair remedy or guidance to the service center, leaving the vehicle operating with a potentially unresolved mechanical defect.

When Turning to right and left there is rattling sounds mostly on slow turn. I brought to Honda dealership drive test it with their Tech. They said might be drive shaft or CV joints. But they did not fixed because they did see loose or bad since the car is new parts may not be available. yet they told I can still drive it . They said will report it and let the Honda motor company what to do on this issue they will me when they get response from the manufacturer. Today the rattling noise gradually increase. Leased this car 1 year ago and it is currently in the repair shop for the 2nd time in a year for the same battery problem: battery won't charge and an error notice on the dashboard that says " Service high voltage system. Reduce acceleration. Drive with care". The first time the shop said that it was a software issue and fixed it. Now the shop is saying that the car needs a new battery. The error notice came up while I was on a road trip and I felt unsafe knowing that the battery could fail or combust while driving. Also, I did not feel safe having the reduced acceleration in effect while I was on the freeway where acceleration can be essential to match traffic and evade accidents.

My 2024 Honda Prologue (VIN [XXX]) only has 16K miles on this vehicle. Both front half-shaft CV joints are failing and have been failing for the last SEVERAL months by manifesting a persistent and worsening very loud clicking when loading and unloading the drive-train, driving up hill and executing any type of turn maneuver. I've complained numerous times to the Honda Dealership here in Seattle start 4Q 2025. They informed me that this has been an ongoing "known" problem with this specific model over the entire model 3 year offering from 2024-26, but at that time Honda America had no revised part number to effectively mitigate the problem. They initially replaced the failed CV half-shafts with the same part number, only to have those parts fail again. Honda America subsequently instructed all Honda dealerships maintenance depts to stop replacing these parts until a newly revise part number is released. I was instructed to contact Honda America at their national customer service at 800-999-1009. (My Case # [XXX]). I've spoken with at least 20-30 difference Honda reps over the last 6 months with no commitment to do anything to fix this potentially dangerous problem. When the outer CV joint completely fails, it could potentially turn into a pole-vault stick and literally flip the car at freeway speeds and definitely cause a catastrophic loss of control at freeway speeds or at any velocity/momentum whatsoever. The very disappointing fact is there is NOW a revised/vastly improved Part Number (Honda Part #86284282) that offers customers a fix to this very well known problem. Honda has not officially issued a recall so dealers are not able to perform this fix under warranty. My friend has this same car and her 2024 Honda Prologue is making this same exact clunking noise. She's faced with the same dilemma. Please, we all need your advocacy to get Honda America to act, not to cower and ignore the issue. Thank you for your advocacy! Description of Safety Defect: The Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) / Forward Collision Avoidance system is severely malfunctioning. On multiple occasions, the vehicle has experienced "phantom braking"—abruptly slamming on the brakes for no reason whatsoever. There were no obstacles, pedestrians, or vehicles ahead to trigger the system. This malfunction is happening at high speeds on major highways. Safety Risk and Impact: This issue represents an immediate and terrifying safety hazard. Unexpectedly slowing to a sudden stop at highway speeds completely compromises vehicle control and leaves me at an extreme risk of being rear-ended by high-speed traffic. It is a severe danger to myself, my passengers, and every other driver on the road. While the vehicle is currently subject to a manufacturer recall regarding the backup camera and other software updates, this specific, dangerous braking behavior makes the vehicle incredibly unsafe to operate. I request that the NHTSA review this issue immediately to determine if a broader safety investigation or expanded recall is required for the 2024 Honda Prologue.

While driving my 2024 Honda Prologue Elite at anywhere from 10-30 MPH, the One-Pedal Driving system suddenly and without warning faults out and disabled mid-drive. The regenerative braking abruptly cut out, causing a sudden loss of expected deceleration, creating a 'lurch forward' feeling. A dashboard warning light illuminated instructing me to press the brake pedal immediately. This has happened multiple times, causing a severe safety hazard during normal traffic conditions. The vehicle shares an identical GM Ultium electronic brake modulator architecture with other previously recalled vehicles. The car is unsafe and should be considered for recall repairs. I have read that this is happening to others and Honda really needs to address this issue.

Forward collision assist keeps turning off, saying the front camera needs to be cleaned. Loud cracking/clicking/popping noises from front suspension making low speed turns (left and right). Sounds like the wheels want to fall off. I got this Prologue with 4 miles on it, started making those noises at less than 3K. It sounds so bad! Vehicle: 2024 Honda Prologue Touring AWD The vehicle has an ongoing clicking/noise issue coming from the driver-side front CV joint/axle area, especially during turns, acceleration, and low-speed maneuvering. The clicking noise appears to be progressively worsening and raises concerns about premature CV joint failure and potential drivetrain safety issues. The issue has persisted despite service visits and replacement attempts. Additionally, the vehicle intermittently displays a “Charge Port Door Open” warning message even when the charge port door is fully closed and secured. This false warning can prevent charging functions from operating normally and creates concerns about electrical system reliability and sensor malfunction. Both issues occur intermittently but repeatedly, affecting confidence in the vehicle’s safety and reliability. The ongoing driver-side CV joint clicking noise has caused concerns about potential drivetrain failure while operating the vehicle. Due to the worsening nature of the issue and repeated occurrence, I no longer feel fully safe or confident driving the vehicle, especially during turns and normal road operation. The false charge port warning may also interfere with the vehicle’s charging capability and normal operation.

The lane keep assist has never worked. It doesn't not keep you in the lane, it just chimes when you drift out of it. The bigger issue is the axles. I only owned the car for 1 month when the axles started loudly clicking with every turn. Honda is claiming this is just a cosmetic defect and it does not affect safety, but I don't believe that for a second. Clicking axles are NOT normal, and could only indicate signs of deterioration. Not only that, but myself and anyone else with this issue can feel that the drivability is affected. Turns and propulsion are slower as time goes on and the clicking gets louder. Honda knowingly continues to sell these cars for up to $60,000 and no longer offers a remedy for the faulty axles. They now plan to discontinue the vehicle and offer no further support for it, which is completely unnaceptable. This safety defect must be remedied as soon as possible. We should not wait until someone is dead.

I have had two safety issues with this vehicle where there were system failures that did not record DTC codes. And an additional failure that does not record codes and cannot be duplicated. After leasing the vehicle for seventeen months, and during repair for an unrelated non-safety issue, it was discovered that the steering wheel airbag had a loose connection. No warning appeared at any time on the instrument panels. As well the one pedal function would switch into regular drive mode, as in a gas powered vehicle, randomly. After multiple tries and incidents the dealer service department has been unable to duplicate. Then on March 6 of this year I bought in the vehicle yet again for this one pedal failure, and was notified there was an existing recall. This software update was performed. On March 17, just 11 days after the update, while backing into my garage with the garage door going up the windshield wiper was clipped by the door, destroying both the wiper and shattering the back window. I have backed into my garage thousands of times and never had an issue. Why this happened on this date I do not know. What I do know is that the vehicle gave no warnings and did not break for the object. At the time my dogs were clipped into their seat belt harnesses in the center well. By a miracle no glass shattered beyond the back storage area and I was able to safely remove them. I checked after and all of the collision warning systems were listed as active, including automatic braking for rear collisions. I had the dealership run scans twice and all scans showed no DTC codes and all systems active. I can only assume that all prior updates have failed, and there is a substantial defect to the vehicles ability to communicate. I have a copy of the scan performed. The second scan was run on April 9 because the dealership failed to provide a printed copy of the first. I have that second scan. My vehicle fails to communicate or activate essential information, a safety hazard.

The vehicle experienced multiple serious issues affecting safety and reliability. The 12V battery failed, leaving the vehicle unable to start. In addition, there is a persistent abnormal ratcheting or grinding noise when turning, indicating a possible drivetrain or steering-related defect. An interior component near the rearview mirror also detached while driving, creating a distraction and safety concern. The vehicle was taken to the dealership for repair on February 21, 2026 and has remained out of service for over 30 days with no confirmed repair completion date. On Feb 7th, notice a Knocking/Clicking noise coming from right wheel when making slight right turn, but not often. Called my dealership and immediately they said they were aware of issue and said it is common in Prologues. But due to the prologue being a GM make and not Honda, they were told they needed to wait till GM comes up with a solution, as well as parts being backordered. A few weeks later, knocking noise got louder and happening more often. Concerned I asked them to take a look at vehicle. I brought it in on March 4th, tech took it for a drive and yes confirmed issue and told me we just needed to wait or callback in a few months. This vehicle was sold to us with like-new mileage and was also certified, pre-owned by Honda. Symptoms of the problem were knocking sounds heard from the lower, front section of the car when accelerating from a stop and turning at the same time. It was first noticed around 4000 miles and diagnosed by the local Honda dealer at around 7300 miles. Based on many blog postings about consumer experiences with this issue, I believe it would have been difficult for Honda to unknowingly sell this car with this as a design defect, and it does not have a fix other than replacing with the same part which is prone to failure. Again, this claim can be backed up by many other consumer postings which reference defective CV axles being replaced multiple times. We would have made a wiser decision on purchase selection and are now concerned about resale value of the car. We are asking for your help in a recall mandate after evaluating the problem for Honda Prologues and GM vehicles using the same platform.

Direct cause - Unknown. What I do know however was that the automatic emergency break system on my vehicle was activated, causing the vehicle to stop in the middle of driving. This resulted in the vehicle behind me hitting my car. Prior to the incident occurring, no warning indicators (lamps, messages, etc.) came from the dashboard. The vehicle just stopped. Immediately after this accident occurred. I turned off the forward collision safety feature, as I was scared of the issue (vehicle stopping) repeating itself. To date, my vehicle has not been repaired or my insurance agency contacted, as I do not believe I should be held responsible for the cost of this repair.

When turning my vehicle I hear a clicking & cracking sound in the cv joints of the car. It happens in both directions. This can be a safety issue when driving if the axial or CV joints fail. It could put myself, my family & other people on the road in danger if this happens & the joints go out or fail. NO warning lights it just happened over time. the car has only 14000 miles at the time of this complaint.

High voltage system warning light came on dashboard, reduced acceleration occurred while driving today, 1/9/26. This is my second Vehicle Complaint form regarding High Voltage System failure. High Voltage Battery was replaced after first incident which occurred on 11/25/25, and car spent 37 days at dealership for diagnosis and high voltage battery replacement. Car is now back at dealership for diagnosis and possible 2nd high voltage battery replacement today, 1/9/26.

On at least 3 occasions my car has braked automatically for no reason. Nobody was in front of me or behind me.

High voltage system error has flagged and been fixed multiple times starting in early January of 2026. Car randomly warns and breaks in the middle of the road because it sensed something that wasn’t there. Luckily no wrecks have occurred. Both CV joints have a loud clicking noise that the Honda dealerships knows about but has no fix for. I currently have an appointment for the dealership to look at my brake and high voltage system again.

CV Axles making clocking noise when turning left and right. Also, when driving above 60 MPH wheel vibrate and anf whole right side shaking. While dealership claiming it is not a safety concern, I am confident this vehicle should not drive on high way with this issue.

Loud clicking from both sides of the front CV joint. Dealer says there is nothing they can do but know of the problem. Says not to drive it as much.

Loud clicking and thumping noises from area of wheel drive axles. This predominantly occurs when the front wheels are turned off center. Clicking in axles and loud thumping in the chassis are enhanced with acceleration.

While driving the car this evening, following a day of driving, the info tainment and dashboard screens went blank while on the highway. Pulled off at the first exit (30 miles down the road or so). Tried: - turning car off and on - turning off, opening drivers door for one minute, closing and restarting - the same, but waiting 5 min after opening and closing door - the same, but the using the remote lock to lock the car after closing the drivers door - holding down the radio power button for up to 2 min Drive finished by foijf slowly on local roads. No speed information. No warnings systems available.

When driving, frequent knocking sounds can be heard coming from the engine when at a stop to turn, and accelerate. The electrical system was faulty with the engine electrical system indicating problems- the heater shut off, so we had no heat during a 90-minute road trip. Tire pressure monitor indicates low tirepressure and seems unresponsive. I brought it in for service. The electrical system was fixed, but the tire pressure remained low, was noit addressed and return to me with all tires at 32psi. Maintenance person commented, " Sir, all I do is return the vehicle to you"... Please advise. Thank you 4900

starting on dec 24 and again on dec 25 the tcar has been having problems shifting into gear. THIS IS JUST ONE OF THE MANY PROBLEMS I have been having with this car I have already submitted a ticket on this car. This car needs to be recalled nation wide, OI do not feel it is safe to drive and it is only a matter of time until this model will be involved in many accidents resulting in many injuries.

My vehicle constantly receives an error message while driving stating, "SERVICE HIGH VOLTAGE SYSTEM" and "REDUCED ACCELERATION DRIVE WITH CARE." Error symbols appear on the dashboard that show an orange turtle, a red battery with a big exclamation point through it and and a red car outline with a big exclamation point going through the middle of it. When this happens, the vehicle acceleration is significantly reduced and the regenerative braking or "one-pedal" feature automatically becomes disabled. If you're relying on that system to brake, it will not do so when you need it to and you have to manually press the brake to slow and stop the vehicle. This error clears after a few days of driving but never fails to return. The dealer said they found nothing wrong when I brought it in (when the error wasn't being displayed, of course) but it went back today with the error displayed so they could witness it for themselves. Separately, the vehicle makes an incredibly loud knocking noise when accelerating with the wheel turned. It appears this is coming from the CV joints.

Been hearing a clicking noise from my front end of the prologue for quite some time. Keep having it written off that it’s nothing. However I see people having complaints and getting the vehicle serviced. Also my charger door compartment has been replaced 2x and is almost headed in for a third replacement. Buy back investigation has been launched by Honda. No news since July
