Due to a lack of available parts for this recall, the vehicle repairs will take up to 30 plus days before the parts arrive. On top of that, there is a waiting list for the vehicles that need to be fixed. This means, I will be without a vehicle for a lengthy amount of time. They don’t have enough loaners vehicles and I cannot afford to purchase a new car at this time. This recall issue has caused people lots of unneeded stress, maintenance cost, and loss of wages. Ford needs to be held accountable on this issues. Additionally, I took the vehicle to a Ford Dealership (LaFayette Ford) on/about the 2 of May 2025. There were two recalls on the vehicle at that time. The fixed one recall. They informed that, there was nothing they could do with recall 23S64 until the vehicle was having issues. They did not inform me nor give me the option to get the issues corrected at the time or be placed on a waiting list once the parts were available. I would have placed the vehicle on the waiting to have the recall repaired once parts were available and to avoid the current situation that we are experiencing. On the 30th of January 2026, the vehicle stopped on me after displaying low engine pressure despite having oil. There were no oil leaks detected, the oil cap was seated properly, and the oil stick had/has the adequate amount of oil. The vehicle will not start, make a funny noise, and the engine vibrates the entire cab of the vehicle. The video I attached displays the sound the vehicle makes now. The vehicle ran smoothly until the 30th of January 2026.

My Ecosport prior to going to Celebrity Ford had no mechanical and electricial issues. It went to into Celebrity Ford of Toms River for the Engine Pump Recall on Dec. 23, 2025. I did not get the vehicle back until Feb 4, 2026 after major engine work was completed by Celebrity Ford. Substantial engine parts replacement—was performed as part of this recall repair (can been seen on service invoice). Since that installation, the vehicle has had continuous mechanical problems that did not exist beforehand. Since then, the vehicle has had multiple mechanical and electrical failures- from "Full Accessory Power Message" along with numerous times failing to start with multiple warning lights illuminated as well as the most recent incident on March 5th. While driving home from work on the Garden State Parkway at 70 mph, my vehicle began to shudder/ shake violently almost stalling with lose of power along with the check engine light blinking from an engine that had significant work done according to the first service invoice from 12/23/25 to 2/4/26. At the time, I was in the center lane. I had to carefully maneuver across parkway work traffic to the right lane while my vehicle continued operating abnormally. This was a frightening and dangerous experience that could have resulted in a serious accident.Since bringing my vehicle in for this recall, it has experienced repeated failures and serious safety concerns that have made it unreliable and unsafe to drive due to Celebrity Ford's liability issue for negligence and improper recall repair. Celebrity Ford performed the recall repair, installed/ replaced major engine components, caused repeated breakdowns and now is disrepair to a vehicle that was in perfect working condition prior. I am seeking accountability for the damage caused and a resolution to this ongoing issue. I do not have my vehicle currently as they are still trying to duplicate the concern and in contact with a "Hotline" team with no ETA of completion.

The engine died in an unexpected earlier timeframe than recall notice. I had to get vehicle towed at my expense as no offers existed for recalls yet to the nearest Ford. This means it sat longer with a dead engine and battery not in use. The battery was brand new before the engine died. After Ford installed a new engine I picked up my vehicle. I now had a new problem. The battery light came on. It was late when I picked up my car and the dealership was closing. I notified Ford c/s the next day and they approved to take it back to ANY dealership. There are several Ford dealerships near my home. My 2nd option was Bill Fick Ford. In short I told them my story listed above + recall final engine repair due. Initially there was a female that approved towing and said Ford would help me with towing cost up to $250. The tow truck driver never showed up. I called the tow truck driver the next day and he said he is willing to pickup but will call Ford to confirm. I called Bill Fick Ford several more times for updates. Apparently there was a male there that disapproved. I had called another Ford dealership nearby prior when battery was working asking for help but denied. I am having trouble getting the repairs at any Fords nearby in a timely manner. This April 2026 will be two years since I haven't been able to use this vehicle. Bill Fick Ford told me that I would have to pay for the tow cost. Initially I wasn't going to report but I think it's best to address in case there are others who are having difficulties related to recalls to improve flow. Another dealership is willing to help me. The only issue is is that I will have to pay the remaining balance over $250. This will be 2nd time I pay out of pocket for towing. The difference between Bill Fick Ford and the out of town dealership is the out of town dealership called Ford to confirm approval of tow/repairs and Bill Fick Ford refused to look further and gather the correct info adding more out of pocket cost/delays.

I scheduled a recall repair appointment at Metro Ford, Miami (9000 N W 7th Ave) for my 2021 Ford EcoSport, recall 23S64/25S12. However, the service department verbally refused to perform the recall, stating that “the part must fail first” and that it was a manufacturer issue. My wife was told this directly at the service desk. This recall involves critical components that could cause engine failure or power loss, and the refusal to repair violates federal safety requirements under 49 U.S. Code §30120. I am reporting this refusal and requesting NHTSA to review and ensure compliance.

NHTSA #11692650

Oil light and check engine light came on and notification for poor oil pressure out of nowhere. Car started making weird sounds and acceleration was poor. One minute the car was fine and the next I had to tow it to the dealership to get it looked at. Over 2 months now and the issue isn’t resolved as the dealership hasn’t received the parts that they need to repair it.

I was driving my vehicle and a loud clunking noise came from the engine, then a flashing engine oil pressure low signal came on the dashboard, the car wouldn’t go over 45 mph and the brake was hard. I had the car towed to the dealership and was told it needs a new engine due to the recall and it would take months to have it fix because there’s no parts but before they can fix my car they have to fix the one that’s been sitting I their lot for almost 3 months. I was told maybe we can help you get into another car. I went to the dealer and I was told there is nothing they can do and that my car will be sitting in their lot for many months. I called Ford customer service and I was told that the dealership has not dismantled my vehicle yet and order parts to fix it and that there is a back order on parts to fix the issue. I don’t have money to rent a car and I need my vehicle to go to my doctors appointment, take my husband to work. I don’t have good credit and because the I owe too much money on the car they won’t help me. I’m very stressed out about this situation.

NHTSA #11635248

Was driving vehicle and lost power. Had vehicle towed to Ford dealership. Received email stating vehicle experienced engine failure. Also received a recall attachment and told the engine and turbo buster needed replaced. Was told it would be covered under warranty. Next day received call from dealership stating there were not going to cover engine under recall and I would need to pay almost $9,000 for a new engine. The vehicle is a 2021 ford ecosport with under 10,000 miles. When I contacted ford corp, they told me varied stories. First rep. Acknowledge the recall and then said it was up to the dealership to honor it. Second time I called ford corp. the rep said that there was no fix and only a work around and that my paying for the engine replacement was a work around the dealerships had come up with. When I reached back out to the dealership, they told me they had spoken with ford and was instructed to complete more diagnostics, which would cost me out of pocket for the diagnostics approximately $1400.00. I contacted another dealership and was told it would be two month before they could even look at it, due to the number of vehicles currently at their dealership waiting for engine replacements. I contacted ford corp again and was told there was a buy back option. I have just been waiting, when I spoke with the rep in the buyback department (9/25/24) she said it would be another 5 days and she would call me again. I asked about rental vehicles, she said that was up to the dealerships or that I could use a rental company like enterprise. I let her know that to rent a vehicle until the first quarter of 2025, when ford is supposed to have a fix for the vehicle would cost me close to, if not over $18,000 in rental fees. She said if she heard of ford starting a program to reimburse rental fees she would let me know. I asked if she would document the expected rental notes in the case.

July 12 my car overheated and shut down in the middle of the highway with no prior indication that there was a problem with my engine. I took it to the dealer the service dept told me it was due to the recall. Then proceeded to tell me that it’s from the cracked cylinder. Upon researching I found out that faulty part can cause over heating and cause cracks. They are currently saying that they aren’t responsible when the service tech told me it was a manufactured defect.

Ford is stating a parts will not be available until early 2025. I almost lost my light driving last night on the highway. The car started slowing down, and making a noise and then started shaking out the blue on the highway and the engine was making a lot of noise. Thank goodness I was able to maneuver my car and not strike a concrete barrier or another vehicle, but I had to pay $200.00 to tow my car home and missed my shift for work. The Low Engine Oil Pressure alert came up on my dashboard, which is related to recall; Campaign: 23S64/23V905. This recall states the vehicle is safe to drive which is a lie. I am still financing this car and it is undriveable. Ford MUST supply a loaner vehicle until the parts come in and/or pay for all Uber/Lyft, grocery delivery fees etc as no one can wait a whole year for parts to come in for Ford not making a safe vehicle in the first place. I also have video of how loud my engine is.

I brought a 2021 Ford Ecosport from Auto Direct in NC, February 2024( was not told about recall until after I signed the contract) and tried to fix the recall on the vehicle when purchased. I called Capital Ford dealership and was told they could not fix the recall until I got the letter. Presently, the vehicle is not working, the part of the recall has went out. It a big frustration issues because I have to keep making a monthly payments while my vehicle is sitting waiting for the manufacturer to decide to fix it. I would like to get out of this vehicle. I would like for the manufacturer to pay off my car so I can purchase another one. I need help.

The engine oil pump belt tensioner is damaged, which caused me to be unable to drive the car and have difficulty braking. There is a recall for this part and no available repair.

NHTSA #11583304

The low oil pressure light came on and within minutes the engine completely stalled and multiple check engine codes came up. Lost all control of the vehicle. It is currently at the dealer and needs a whole new engine. It has been inspected by the technicians at the dealership. This all happened within minutes of the light coming on. The technician stated the oil pump belt was damaged and came apart resulting in a whole new engine being needed. Ford sent the recall notice in Feb 2024 and the part is still not available. They are refusing to pay for the new engine up front.

The affected component is the oil pump drive belt and belt tensioner. This defect can cause loss of oil pressure and engine failure. Parts for the official recall remedy have not been made available by Ford or its dealers. My vehicle is available for inspection upon request. Safety Risk: This failure poses a serious safety risk. Loss of oil pressure or engine seizure can occur suddenly, causing the vehicle to stall while driving. This results in loss of motive power and potentially reduced braking assistance, placing myself, passengers, and other motorists at risk of a crash. Confirmation by Dealer/Service Center: The dealer confirmed the recall but stated that the parts remain unavailable and no final remedy is being offered at this time. Interim remedies are inadequate, leaving me to continue driving an unsafe vehicle.

Recall is for 25S12 FRONT HALF SHAFT INSPECTION red McCombs completed and passed on June 23 2025 a week later the shaft had been bent Ford is denying paying for the recall because it was initially passed. I’m writing to follow up on an ongoing issue involving my 2021 Ford EcoSport currently at your dealership, Red McCombs Ford. I’ve been without a vehicle for several weeks now, and despite multiple text updates from Adrian, I’ve yet to receive a concrete response or resolution from Ford regarding the recall and repair process. As you are aware, my vehicle was inspected at your service department on June 23, 2025 in relation to Ford Recall 25S12, concerning improper axle half-shaft installation. At that time, I was told the axle was installed correctly. However, by June 30, the vehicle was back at your shop with a bent axle shaft — a serious failure that occurred less than a week after your team cleared it. This raises a critical concern. Given the nature of the recall — where improperly seated axles can cause spline wear, misalignment, or other stress-related damage — it is highly plausible that the damage was either missed during inspection or already underway when the vehicle was deemed compliant. Despite this, I have received no official update from Ford about whether the repair will be covered under the recall. The continued delay, lack of communication, and lack of access to a working vehicle have created a great deal of inconvenience and frustration. At this time, I am requesting the following: A written update on the current status of my vehicle’s repair and Ford’s determination. A copy of the inspection report from 6/23 outlining what was evaluated during the recall check. Confirmation that this issue is being escalated appropriately within Ford if a resolution is still pending. I would appreciate a prompt response so we can move forward in resolving this issue. You may contact me directly by phone or email.

The recall involves the oil pump drive belt or drive belt tensioner which may fail, resulting in a loss of engine oil pressure and as a result it may lead to a loss of oil pressure can result in an engine stall and a loss of power braking assist, increasing the risk of a crash. I am concerned for the safety of myself as well as others . The parts won’t be available till the first quarter of 2025 my car has already started leaking oil and I am terrified . On 7/25 I responded to the Recall & drove my 2021 Ford Eco-Sport vehicle into dealership due to1st Recall regarding the "Front Half Shaft" where there is obvious contact with transmission. However, the maintenance receipt showed passed inspection. Yet again, I received the 2nd Recall regarding the "Oil Pump Drive Belt/Tensioner" I responded to the notice & drove it to the dealership on March 26 exactly 8 months after the 1st Recall with the "Front Half Shaft" transmission issue. It was deemed as repaired, however, not in my opinion. Upon picking my vehicle up from the Gerald Jones Auto Group Dealership April 2026 and heading out of town I noticed that the vehicle was driving a lot rougher than I'd expected especially after an entire month of having the vehicle to repair completely, of course, I canceled my trip and immediately called the dealership and explained my concerns regarding the feel of the roughness of the vehicle & that I was not comfortable because I hadn't experienced this before. I was asked to bring it back. After waiting for the recheck I was informed that there was a hose disconnected in the rear afterwards I was advised to call the dealership with any other problems. I started home noticed that there was still a slight skipping or hesitation around the 15-50mp range I called & got voice mail & I left a detailed message about problems. I had to run an errand, on the way home as I moved onto the busy interstate the vehicle really started skipping & hesitating much worse than before & a noisy fan sound coming from the mid right side dash area that hadn't been there! I called the dealership back as instructed & left another message. I waited an entire day no one returned my call. I called again on the next day was told to bring the car in again a 2rd time. The 3rd time car was checked there I was informed it was a transmission issue not part of Recall the cost of repair would be totally my responsibility according to Manager, which is not fair!

On December 24, 2025, I was traveling from Arizona to California when WITHOUT WARNING I lost all power from my Ford EcoSport while on the 10 freeway. At that moment I was able to navigate to the side of the road. This placed myself and others in an unsafe situation on the freeway. The vehicle was then towed to a dealership in Temecula, CA where upon inspection they stated that I would need a new engine. The vehicle has sat at the dealership since unrepairable and the weekly text from the dealership is "still waiting for parts". I have lost confidence that this vehicle will ever be safe and that my safety is at risk and that it is unrepairable as it is still sitting at the dealership it was towed to. By way of background, on May 19, 2025 I brought my Ford EcoSport for a pre-scheduled appointment to a dealership in Phoenix, AZ to have recall manufacturer number 23S64 and 25S12 completed. I was told by the service tech that they could not assess the NEED for 23S64 due to a recent oil change in the vehicle. I later learned that 23S64 is a 100% replacement rate and that a recent oil change should not matter. I won't go into the negligence of this dealer in Phoenix, AZ., but for sure this vehicle is not safe for me or anyone on the roadways.

23S64-Engine Oil Pump RECALL 8/19/2025 driving from Hillsboro Beach, Florida to St. Petersburg, Florida. We had a full engine seizure, we lost oil pressure, and also lost use of the transmission. We overheated and the engine seized. With a loss of power, we had to guide the car off the road. The engine was smoking heavily. The back of the car was completely covered with motor oil. The Florida Highway Patrol called us a tow truck that took us to DeSoto Ford, 3039 Southeast Highway 70, Arcadia, Florida, 34266, 863-494-4848. DeSoto Ford ended up doing multiple repairs on the car. They did the replacement of the 23S64 recall for the oil pump belt and tensioner. The car was there for 24 days. We drove down on 9/12/25 and picked up the car. When they pulled the car out, the car was still covered in oil in the back. We found out within days that they neglected to fix the radiator. Once we got into the car and started driving, we had yet another very loud noise, forcing us to bring it to AutoNation, St. Pete, Florida. At AutoNation, we had a multitude of problems with it. We had severe vibration with the car when we brought it there 9/18/25. This was only a few days later. They changed out the radiator and replacing the full radiator because they said there was a full leak that was not fixed by DeSoto. They fixed the car and gave it back to us 9/30/25. On 10/22/25, I had the exact same experience with the car that we originally had on the highway in Arcadia. The engine fully seized in the intersection of 3rd Street South and 6th Ave south in St Petersburg just as it had done before. The car overheated and had full loss of power/motive power. I was able to restart it briefly to get out of the cross section. The car stalled two more times before I was able to bring it to a safe place. We ended up having it towed from 15th Ave S at 3rd Street S and brought to AutoNation. Vehicle broke down again 11/7 and has been in shop ever since. Much more details available.

I was exiting the freeway and my engine shut down and was unable to manever the vehicle. Stuck on feeder road, unable to place car in neutral to move car out of the road. Police and passerby have to disconnect transmission in order to move my car out of the road. I had car towed to ford dealership. Ford dealership submitted for recall repair approval twice. Both times denied. Dealership advised car is running but they can not repair anything because Ford will approve repair. When Ford Dealership repair service started to put the car back together they realized bolts were one time use and have to order parts. They have had my car for 5 days and still need to keep it for 3 or 4 more days for the replacement bolts to arrive. My car has not been repaired because Ford won't honor recall because they believe what happened to my car is not recall related. They also stated they don't know why my car lost full power while driving and can't tell me if it will happen again. I do not feel safe driving the car, I feel lucky I was exiting the freeway when it happened, but if I was going full speed on the freeway when I lost power I believe it could have been catastrophic! How can Ford not approve a repair that is a known problem with the vehicle even with the severely of the consequences if the engine fails again. I don't feel safe driving this car, but I don't have a choice because it is the only car I have.

I am filing this complaint regarding critical safety issues with my 2021 Ford Ecosport that arose immediately after an engine replacement performed under Recall #23S64 (Engine Oil Pump Belt and Tensioner Replacement). On [XXX], I dropped off my vehicle at Covert Ford-Lincoln in Austin, TX, for the recall repair. The dealership replaced the engine, but since then, my vehicle has developed severe defects directly resulting from Ford’s improper repair procedures. On [XXX], I picked up the vehicle. Within 20 miles, it abruptly shut off while in motion and would not restart, creating a serious safety hazard. The vehicle was towed back to the dealership, where they blamed the issue on a faulty battery—despite no prior issues. I paid $300 for a replacement. During a test drive, the check engine light illuminated, and the dealership diagnosed a knock sensor issue, which they claimed was unrelated to the engine replacement. They charged me nearly $200 for the repair, saying it was “bad timing.” On April 11, 2025, after nearly two months without resolution, I visited the dealership to find the vehicle still unrepaired. I also discovered damage to the hood while in their care and was informed of additional issues, including unusual piston sounds from the new engine. These problems, including the engine shutdown, knock sensor failure, and piston damage, were nonexistent before the recall repair and are clear consequences of Ford’s mishandling of the engine replacement. These unresolved defects have rendered my vehicle unsafe and unusable for over two months. I am requesting that Ford replace my vehicle or issue a full refund, as the recall repair has caused systemic and ongoing failures. Ford must take responsibility for ensuring the safety and reliability of their vehicles. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

In each instance, the Ford service center replaced the engine coolant temperature sensor and/or its associated wiring. In a short time after the repair, the same issue reoccurs (over six times now). Engine is not actually experiencing an over-temp issue, it is just that the sensor/wiring is faulty. When the issue occurs, the car is put into limp mode with reduced power/acceleration, sometimes at highway speeds or when accelerating onto the highway. I've been caught in traffic at highway speed then the car suddenly loses power in limp-mode forcing me to move over to slow lane or to pull over to the shoulder to avoid impeding traffic.

I am filing a complaint regarding Consumer Portfolio Services (CPS) and the reporting and collection of a repossession deficiency balance related to my 2021 Ford EcoSport, VIN [XXX] and Ford Motor Company. Despite these known defects, CPS is attempting to collect a large deficiency balance following repossession and is reporting the account negatively on my credit report. I dispute the validity and fairness of the alleged deficiency balance because the vehicle’s value was negatively impacted by manufacturer-related defects and safety concerns. I also question whether the vehicle was sold in a commercially reasonable manner and whether the resale value properly accounted for the vehicle’s defective condition. It is still in my driveway, the function of breaking has not been reproduced. The car will not even start now. The vehicle has not yet been inspected by a dealer, an independent service center, or anyone else. I will be contacting my insurance today. A police report was not made as no one was at fault. There were no warning lamps or messages displayed. I did receive a letter this week from Brian Leonard, a service Manager at Price Ford Simi Valley regarding recall 23S64. The letter notified me of the new recall, that their business will "pick up and deliver my vehicle, provide me a loaner vehicle, and complete the recall repairs for me". I received this letter the day before the brake failure. The morning after the brakes failed causing the crash, I contacted Mr. Leonard who told me they will now not fix any of the issues or comply with any part of the letter, that I should file a claim with my insurance and take the car to a Ford dealership in Turlock. This was communication was all via email and Simi Valley Ford has now ended communication with me. This car was purchased brand new and I have had nothing but issues and recalls with it. Additionally while driving it 3 weeks ago on [XXX] , the car lost all power. I pulled over to the side of the road and sat for about 10 minutes debating what to do. I attempted to restart the vehicle, it started and I was able to complete my drive home with no warning or indicator lights appearing. This car is a lemon! Air Bags,Unknown Or Other1 queja

Airbag failure (VERY IMPORTANT) I am reporting a serious vehicle safety issue involving airbag failure. I was driving a vehicle rented through Turo from Moon Rental Corporation when I was involved in a rear-end collision (hit-and-run) on the highway where I was going 65 and hit by a large SUV going 80 MPH. During the crash, the airbags did not deploy as photo, video, and police witness confirm. The impact was significant enough that airbags should have deployed, and I sustained injuries as a result. This raises serious concerns about the safety and condition of the vehicle, including possible defects or failure to properly maintain critical safety systems. The owner runs a rental car business Moon Rentals Corporation and uses Turo and is insured by Travelers Insurance Company. I am requesting that this incident be investigated as a potential safety defect in addition to negligence by the rental car owner for not inspecting or maintaining the vehicle to check for such defects.

The airbag service light was on prior to purchase. It wasn’t acknowledged by the dealership. When I asked about it he said “it’s because the car was sitting in the cold”. I took the car in to get looked at at a Ford dealership and they said my airbags are inoperable. My safety is at risk.

At 40,000 Miles over a period of a few weeks, the turbocharger began to fail. This was covered under the Standard 50k Powertrain Warranty. At 45,000 Miles, the Alternator began to fail. This is not covered under Powertrain. At this rate, I fear that there will be more issues before 60k Miles

Five days prior I had car assessed at mechanics ,it was good. Day of incident car started and drove fine. Low oil light come on. I pulled over checked oil level it was fine. I checked the car on my Ford app. There was nothing on the app saying there was a problem. Car drove fine I drove about a hour the car oil lights flashed again. Then the car completely shut down while I was driving. I immediately tried to steer car off the road. The steering was hard.I was trying to give it gas to get it off the road but the car was instantly dead hunk of metal. The car made no noise. I have heard of limp mode but I didn't experience that. I went drove 70 to 0 really fast.I was lucky no one was immediately behind me or was in fast lane because I would of been hit .I had car towed to a ford dealership. It was determined that the engine recalled part is why it broke down. Unknown time when car will be repaired. No rental. No help . I own the car. It is sitting at a ford dealership.

Was driving the vehicle going approximately 35-40 miles per hour. Lost all power to the vehicle, no ability to steer or control the vehicle. Once vehicle stopped and after additional inspection at the Ford dealership was informed vehicle had experienced engine failure. First was told it occurred under current belt recall, later told engine failure occurred because of coolant leaking into oil. I was told it is a know problem and recall issue for Ford Escapes and other models with same EcoBoot engines, but that for the EcoSport it has not been recognized as a problem by Ford. Was told that I would need to pay $8816.38 to replace engine. The vehicle had approximately 9600 miles at time of engine failure. I contacted Ford and was told the vehicle was 1-3months outside of buyback timeframes. I was told to take the vehicle to another dealership and they would take care of everything, that has yet to happen.

ENGINE OIL PUMP DRIVE BELT TENSIONER ARM FRACTURED My vehicle has been in the service department since June 30st, following a breakdown during a trip from Odessa, Texas to California. The vehicle malfunctioned in California, approximately a 24-hour drive from our home. Upon investigation, I learned that the part responsible for the breakdown was already subject to a recall. Despite waiting for several days at a hotel near the dealership, I was not provided with a long-term rental. Instead, I was given a Lyft to the nearest airport to continue my trip. I also had to cover the costs of a rental car to return to Texas. Additionally, the faulty part has no estimated delivery date, leaving the vehicle unrepaired for an indefinite period. I foresee potential issues when it comes time to retrieve the vehicle, given the distance involved. Given the extended downtime and the out-of-pocket costs incurred, what are my options for resolving this situation, including rental reimbursement, vehicle pickup, or any other possible recourse?

While waiting at a stop light when the automatic start kicked back in it was so hard I felt that someone had rear ended my car and then the car stalled. I had to put the car in park and restart the engine. My biggest fear is being rear ended. My engine whines and the rpm will hit 4 or 5 before the car will shift into the next gear. It does the ssame thing when trying to accelerate - it's as if it's not getting enough fuel. However, my biggest fear is that I've had a recall on my vehicle since January, 2024 - Manufacturer Recall Number 23S64; NHTSA Recall Number 23V905 and there not anticipaing a fix until the first quarter of 2025. The Safety Risk: A LOSS OF ENGINE OIL PRESSURE CAN RESULT IN ENGINE DAMAGE ANDOR SEIZURE, WHICH CAN RESULT IN A LOSS OF MOTIVE POWER AND A LOSS OF THE MECHANICAL VACUUM PUMP REQUIRED TO PROVIDE POWER BRAKING ASSIST, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH. Knowing that this is a safety risk, nothing can be provided for the consumer soone than this. This is scarry, why not buy the vehicle back. If I get in an accident then what?

Electrical System,Service Brakes,Engine1 queja

My vehicle has outright lost power and shut down entirely with the engine non functional approximately 6 times since I acquired it back in March of 2024. This recall has existed for 2 months prior to me getting my vehicle and I was unaware of the recall at the time I purchased it because dealerships selling vehicles with open recalls wasn’t something I was aware was legal considering the imminent potential safety risks. I have nearly wrecked 3 times while going 50+ mph on major local roads and highways because of my car shutting off entirely with 0 notice. To be entirely honest I don’t have enough money to go out and finance another car and I also don’t think a fault vehicle should become my liability when it’s faulty because of processes the manufacture has cut costs on. Not only is driving my vehicle extremely dangerous but it’s my only choice as the alternatives are viable options regarding costs. Assuming I were to get into a wreck knowing this issue was occurring I’d be liable per my insurance for something a multi billion dollar corporation has considered a “non-issue” for literally over a year now. When this happens my power steering loses its functionality locking up the steering wheel entirely, every light and electronic in the car shuts off instantly, and the engine shuts off but because my vehicle is in motion it continues rolling until my speed reaches 0. My brakes haven’t worked more than a fraction of how they’d normally work if my car were working as intended which is extremely annoying because sometimes like while in 5pm traffic I NEED to brake and am unable to which is very dangerous. I have had my car for just about a year and once every 2 months something that could potentially kill me and cause millions of dollars in damage has occurred while the manufacturer has had more time than I’ve had my vehicle to fix the issue. I only filed a complaint now because I was unaware I was able to prior. Thanks.
