Below are recalls and complaints reported to NHTSA for the 2025 Chevrolet Blazer. This information is consumer-reported and provided for general informational purposes only. Vehicles like this may qualify under California lemon law depending on their individual repair history.
The following recalls were reported to NHTSA. A recall does not by itself establish that any individual vehicle is defective.
General Motors, LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Chevrolet Blazer EV vehicles. The rear parking brake wiring harness may become damaged or corroded, resulting in unintended activation of the parking brake or loss of the parking brake function.
Reported consequence: Unintended activation of the parking brake while driving increases the risk of a crash. Loss of the parking brake function while parked can result in a rollaway, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will inspect the harness and, if necessary, reroute the harness and install anti-abrasive tape. Any harness that has existing damage will be replaced. Repairs will be performed free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on October 1, 2025. Owners may contact Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020. GM's number for this recall is N252503010.

The following are consumer-reported complaints filed with NHTSA. These are unverified allegations and are not proof that any defect exists.
The Telematics Module failed and is on backorder. This is a known issue across the U.S. This makes it so OnStar doesn't work and I am paying for it. Not just that the safety concern of it not working. GPS, Maps, Level 3 Tesla doesn't work. Car is really not usable as we can't charge on a level 3 when going over 100 miles. We have loss access to navigation, Google Built-In services, the myChevrolet apps, and even core safety and convenience features tied to connectivity, including OnStar and Super Cruise.
NHTSA #11738977
Telecommunications module failed - no Onstar, no Navigation which means no help to find charging station, and Mychevrolet app remote connection is not functional. Local dealer states this is a known issue but there is a significant backlog to investigate, and no loaner vehicles available. Wide spread issue across many GM vehicles. Very disappointing experience including service repair. Due to lack of loaner i am unable to drop off as this is my primary driven vehicle.

Published date: 09/6/2024 Preliminary Information PIT6231 Poor Sound Quality On A Phone Call GM Dealers are not recognizing this service bulletin to remedy the microphone issue. This is a life safety issue and a formal recall notice should be issued. Reason if the driver or passenger is injured in the vehicle the same microphone is used to communicate with the SOS and On start. when some one is incapacitated or suffered an injury they would not normally be able to speak in such a loud volume for the recipient to hear and when the person speaking who has been injured is forced to yell into the microphone (if able) the receiving end only will her distorted audio,. It is for the reasons set forth above I respectively ask that this be considered a recall and not addressed by a service bulletin

The infotainment system of a brand new 2025 Blazer EV is doing blackouts, flickers, and changing commands and requests. While this may sound trivial - and if this system just did the radio - I would agree. However it controls most all the sub-systems of the car from Charging, to Display, to GPS, Environmental, etc. While at home it is just annoying and frustrating - we traveled to VA from FL this past week. Traffic was horrendous due to a closure of I95 in SC - ALL traffic was forced onto 2 lane country roads. Attempting to use the Controls, adjust GPS for alternatives, and adjusting displays - the glitches were causing either unexpected actions - or distracting longer than expected and causing near accidents. In addition I report that the "collision avoidance" is marginal or dangerous. Dangerous with it engaging maximum braking for a Marker-Barrel that no where near my path - to not engaging well enough when vehicles were rapidly braking (and they did not have brake lights). Finally - the GPS system "changes" destinations on its own. Again with the display flashing and blacking out - it is difficult to notice these "changes" when travelling on back-roads with insanely heavy traffic.

This is a report of defective software that could increase the chances of an accident, injury and or death. This vehicle features a built-in garage door remote which is utilized exclusively through the touch screen. However, when the vehicle is in reverse the backup cameras restrict access to the needed menu. After backing up and putting the car in drive there is a delay before the back up camera turns off. This creates a situation in which the driver must wait in the middle of the road after placing the car in drive before being able to close the garage door. In seeking solutions from online forums, some drivers have reported their Blazer EVs allow the button to be accessed while others report they do not, so I speculated perhaps I missed a software update, but per the car's OTA system, the vehicle's software is current as of the time of this submission. I have recorded a video that I am happy to share , however it exceeds the size limit allowed for uploads in this report.

2025 Chevrolet Blazer EV AWD purchased 5/23/25 (under 3,100 miles) The vehicle's Telematics Control Module (TCM) has failed, disabling the built-in navigation system, OnStar services, remote start, and My Chevrolet app connectivity. The dealership confirmed the TCM needs replacement and the part is on backorder with no ETA. This is a known issue affecting this model. I am reporting this as a safety defect for the following reasons: The 2025 Blazer EV does not support Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. With the built-in navigation disabled, the only way to navigate is by using a phone, which requires visual attention to a separate small screen while driving. Under Pennsylvania's hands-free law (75 Pa.C.S.A. § 3316.1), use of handheld devices while driving is a primary offense, making phone-based navigation both unsafe and legally problematic. On at least one occasion, the navigation system appeared to be functioning normally at the start of a trip but was providing materially inaccurate directions mid-route (e.g., instructing me to turn onto a road I had already been traveling on for miles). A system that displays as operational while delivering incorrect routing data is dangerous because the driver has no way to assess its reliability before departing. GM's EV Concierge characterized the loss of navigation as a non-safety feature issue and suggested using a phone holder. This response is inadequate given the vehicle's lack of CarPlay integration, which makes the built-in navigation the only safe, integrated means of route guidance. This vehicle has also required three prior unrelated warranty repairs in 10 months: a recall for a faulty rear parking brake harness (9/25), a 12V battery failure requiring flatbed towing (11/25), and a faulty tire pressure monitor (12/25). The pattern of recurring failures across unrelated systems at minimal mileage indicates a systemic quality issue with this vehicle.

The onstar module is broken and on significant backorder. Without it, standard features in my car such as GPS, onstar safety, remote control, and other features do not work.

The visibity in sunlight is dangerously impaired with the reflection of the dashboard on the windshield . Hard to see and really distracting while driving .
NHTSA #11701807
I was driving on a rainy day, and noticed my windshield wipers were not working. I tried adjusting wiper speed and even the spray function, which sprayed but did not wipe. At this point I had driven over a mile and had to pull over because visibility through the windshield had gotten so bad. I restarted the car and the wipers functioned normally again. There were no warning lights of any kind or software notifications, and the wipers had worked previously that day.
NHTSA #11696151
At certain times of day it is nearly impossible to see through the windshield as the glare from the dashboard reflection is very bright. The attached pictures do not really show the extent of the glare.

I was driving down a road. Vehicle slammed on the brakes and then accelerated in it own causing me to hit a guardrail.
Allegedly reported: 1 injury (as reported to NHTSA). NHTSA #11745468
At a low speed, between 10 and 15 mph, the forward collision system automatically triggered and brought the car to an immediate stop. While we were lucky that no car was following behind us, the passenger and I experienced significant whiplash and lasting back pain as a result of this. The vehicle has not been inspected by anyone, and not been reproduced. The forward collision system flashed (red warning light, alert).
Allegedly reported: 1 injury (as reported to NHTSA). NHTSA #11704018
windshield leaking water inside of drivers compartment, headliner & side pillars (causing stained areas) as well as the top of onstar and electrical buttons on the overhead console . Found wet cup holder. Vehicle does not have a sun roof. GM is aware of this issue from the factory GM plant in Ramos Arizpe, Mexico. This defect is because of lack of not being sealed properly during the assembly process. The windshield has a factory OEM rubber seal attached to a NEW windshield. This rubber seal is NOT a part that can be purchased separately to fix the problem. By replacing the entire windshield with the new factory rubber seal and the channel that the entire windshield fits into is resealed with urethane should fix the issue.. Trying to reuse the current windshield & rubber seal and using sealer to reinstall it stretches out the rubber seal & will still leak. This leak can get into the electrical controls for safety system overhead controls. Extra care must be taken to remove the windshield as to not damage the roof line in anyway. Vehicle is going back into dealership to fix issue again. Vehicle was resealed with existing windshield and showing signs of leaking on L&R pillars.

There is a really bad rattling noise that comes from the dash. The dash at the windshield you can push down very easily. Whem driving on rough road the ratteling noise is very loud and distracting. During daylight driving you get a very bad glare from the dash board in the windsheild. I havent found a dash mat yet to fox the problem temporarily but some people have mentioned trying felt.

Just purchased a used 2025 RS EV on 5/2/2026. When I got home I found out the Google maps and on star app wasn't working. Called on star and they can't connect to the car and that the telematics module is probably bad. Checked my Chevrolet app and it reports that it hasn't connected to the car for over 6 months. Now waiting for replacement part going 3 weeks now. A little pissed off that dealer did find before they sold me the car.

The cross pedestrian warning activates without any object there and slams on the brakes causing severe neck problems. The cruise control doesnt disengage when pressing on brake pedal causing drive to swerve to avoid crash.
Allegedly reported: 1 injury (as reported to NHTSA). NHTSA #11731919
The vehicle accelerated without input and the brakes failed to respond. I am notifying you that this vehicle is a life-threatening safety risk and should not be rented again until a master technician clears the electronic throttle control and breaking system. This condition presents a serious safety risk and could lead to a car crash or injury. Additionally, the vehicles, climate control system behaved erratically, alternating between extremely hot and extremely cold air without adjustment. This may indicate a broader electronic or system malfunction affecting vehicle city.

On two separate occasions the vehicle lost all power while driving. On December 5, 2025 turning on to a main road from parking lot the vehicle shut off with no prior warning lights. Shifted vehicle to park. No power to anything, unable to unlock doors, unable to turn on hazard flashers, stuck in the middle of the road at night. Waited a minute and pressed the start button and vehicle started with no problem. Again, on February 24 , 2026 making a left turn in intersection, without any warning the vehicle shut off… no power at all. Stuck in middle of road with no lights , no hazard flashers ,unable to get out of the car. Few minutes later vehicle started again. The vehicle did not stall while stopped, it completely lost power while moving. Reported problem to West Herr Chevrolet of Hamburg NY , brought vehicle in to dealership on February 25, 2026 and they were “unable to duplicate the concerns” The dealership paperwork states that the vehicle stalled while stopped, this vehicle lost all power while it was moving. We now have the vehicle back in our possession but are extremely concerned for our safety and the safety of others.

The onstar module failed. Also controlling the pedestrian px Proximity sensor and crosstraffic sensor. When driving slowly waiting a parking lot the vehicle locked up on the brakes with the warning message pedestrian alert. The area was clear. No pedestrians were in the vicinity This would be the 3rd incident 1st was cross traffic already braking while entering a light only at a speed of 15 mph. 2nd was the cross traffic and 3rd was the pedestrian alert.. We discovered the onstar module contrs all of these functions. Contacting the dealer theu stated the module need to be replaced but there is not an ETA on the part arrival as this is a common issue with all vehicles that contain. This module. We are scared it will happen if a driver pulls in front when in traffic or put us in a precarious even deadly situation

The engine started acting weird in traffic going down hill on freeway. Eventually turned off turning into my driveway. No warning or engine light. Towed to dealer and is in for inspection, not sure if they can repair or if they have to replace the engine. When it arrived to dealer the engine light was on with a couple misfires

On December 22, 2025, I purchased a brand-new Chevrolet Blazer EV SS from a dealership located approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes away from my home. Immediately after leaving the dealership lot, I noticed a grinding / grunting noise coming from the vehicle. This was not a minor rattle or normal “new car” sound—this was an alarming mechanical noise in a vehicle that had just been sold to me as new. Because the selling dealer is so far away, and because I was concerned about driving a potentially unsafe vehicle long distance, I took it to a closer Chevrolet dealer for evaluation. I first brought the vehicle to Ciocca Chevrolet in West Chester, PA. After assessing the issue, they advised me to open a ticket with General Motors (GM) because they believed there was a legitimate defect that required GM involvement. Shortly after that, I left for the Christmas holidays, but the issue did not go away and I remained extremely concerned that I had just bought a defective vehicle. When I returned, I took the Blazer EV to Del Chevrolet in Paoli, PA for a second opinion and a thorough evaluation. After keeping the car and spending an entire day assessing it, Del Chevrolet acknowledged the problem. Despite two separate dealers identifying and acknowledging the issue, I have been unable to get timely action toward a repair. I have been told that GM is requiring additional testing and, most importantly, that GM is not authorizing Del Chevrolet to order the necessary parts. The dealership has indicated they are essentially stuck waiting for GM approval, which means my brand-new vehicle is in limbo with no clear repair timeline. As of now, the vehicle has only about 140 miles on it. This is a brand-new car that developed a serious noise immediately upon delivery, and I have now been forced into a loaner vehicle. It is Jan 17th. The vehicle is still at Del Chevrolet service center. Del Chevrolet, Fred Beans Chevrolet and GM corporate are involved in resolving this issue.

1. Vehicle has a horrible squeaking sound coming from the brake pedal area. First dealer diagnosed it as the master cylinder needing replacement. Noise did not go away and GM said that it is normal. The noise is not normal and has never been on any other car I have owned. 2. When reversing, the car sometimes abruptly slams on the brakes as if it is avoiding a collision even though no collision is close to happening. GM refuses to fix the problem.

My windshield is defected with no real time when a replacement can be ordered..the interior lining is not sealed properly which is causing a buckling effect by drivers and passengers visors.. Rain is getting inside and soaking into the dashboard causing the electrical system on screens to blink in and out Finally my brake harness is still on recall and my car has been shifting into park which could cause severe problems if I am on the highway..

The contact owns a 2025 Chevrolet Blazer. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V433000 (Parking Brake); however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The dealer was contacted and diagnosed that the windshield was not installed properly and needed to be replaced. The contact stated that while raining, water leaked into the vehicle through the windshield onto the dashboard. The contact stated that the seal had detached on the passenger’s and driver’s sides of the vehicle. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle shifted into park(P). The vehicle had to be turned off and restarted to shift out of park(P). The failure had occurred while driving, idling, and while parked. There were no warning lights illuminated. The dealer also discovered that the hood of the vehicle and the windshield were not flush, causing a slight detachment. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failures; however, no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 3,000.
NHTSA #11680568
Multiple safety-critical malfunctions have occurred on this vehicle involving unintended braking, unintended acceleration, and false activation of driver-assist systems. These events did not happen at the same time and occurred under normal driving conditions. At various points, the vehicle has suddenly applied the brakes without driver input, including hard braking events that felt like an automatic emergency braking activation when no hazard was present. In separate incidents, the parking brake has engaged while the vehicle was in motion, causing abrupt deceleration. There have also been instances of unintended acceleration where the vehicle surged forward briefly without additional throttle input. These malfunctions appear to be related to electrical or ADAS system faults affecting braking logic and propulsion control. No warning lamps or messages reliably appeared before these events. The issues pose a serious risk to the safety of the driver and others because the vehicle’s behavior is unpredictable and can interfere with safe control. The dealership was unable to reproduce the conditions during inspection, but the incidents have occurred multiple times in real-world use.

The motorized charge port door no longer opens. There is no manual operation rendering the vehicle unable to charge. This presents a potential hazardous situation if the error occurred during a road trip where there are greater distances between charging stations and services. GM customer service and OnStar could not resolve the issue when contacted.
