Dodge Ram started making typewriter sound coming from the engine. Took the Ram to the dealership and they found 3 damaged push push rods and 3 damaged rocker arms. Dealer refused to address the metal shaving from the internal damage floating around the engine. Engine had 32k miles on it and oil was changed at 7 to 8k miles intervals.

Transmission issues began at less then 10K miles when the vehicle was new. Initially experienced a noise and slam into reverse gear. The dealer initially claimed the noises were normal or could not replicate the issue. Over time, the vehicle developed a hard shift between 1st and 2nd gear and between 4th and 5th gear. Despite multiple repair attempts by the dealer, the problem persisted. After spending 94 days at the dealership, the transmission was replaced with a refurbished unit of unknown age at approximately 26,000 miles. According to the dealership representative, a manufacturing defect in the transmission case was ultimately identified as the cause of the failure.

A driver was driving their 2022 Ram 2500 to the first job of the day on surface streets in Hollywood, CA. While driving they heard a sudden banging noise from under the truck and lost the ability to accelerate. The driver used the service brakes to stop the vehicle and attempted to put the unit in Park, but Park would not hold the vehicle. The vehicle would also not go into drive or reverse, so they used the parking brakes to secure the vehicle. The vehicle was towed back to the yard and inspected by our internal Fleet Dept. It was found that the driveshaft had come disconnected from the transmission output flange. Three of the four bolts were missing and the fourth was sheared off in the output flange. When the driveshaft came loose it dented the bottom of the cab, tore up a wiring harness and damaged the carrier bearing. The vehicle was towed to a Ram dealer where they replaced the driveshaft and damaged components under warranty and retained the failed parts.

On 7/29/2023 was told my Rear Differential fluid was low by a non-dealer service provider. They stated no leak was detected, but the fluid was low and they topped it off as part of their stated service. In reviewing my previous oil changes performed at dealerships it states that only an inspection for a leak was done for differential units. Which leads me to believe that the truck came from the manufacturer with the reduced amount of fluid. This could still result in failed parts due to the unit not having the sufficient amount of lubricants for 33,000 miles. Which could lead to an accident involving myself and other vehicles. Each dealer now states that it is up to me to cover the cost of having it investigated due to it not being detected by a Ram Dealership. When, in truth, it would have never been found due to their "multi point inspection" parameters. The only time it would have been detected by a dealership is after a safety incident had already occurred.

The transmission feels like it is shifting hard. When you come to a stop and it downshifts from 2nd to 1st sometimes it transfers all the power into 1st gear hard and makes the truck lunge forward as you almost come to a stop. You have to keep your foot firmly planted on the brake as you never know when it’s going to happen. I have the truck for 1.5 years and it’s happened to me about 10 times, very intermittent. I have had the truck in for service x3 times and they could not replicate the issue. There was another NHTSA I suspect had the same issue as me the ID# is 11502531. This person described almost the same issue, and our VIN almost match, and both vehicles were manufactured about the same time in the same location.
NHTSA #11518915

RAM 2500 was driven and parked on an incline. Driver shifted truck from drive to park which was verified by knob showing vehicle was in park. After turning vehicle off and exiting vehicle, vehicle began rolling down the hill unattended, with engine off, while in park. Vehicle rolled down hill with engine off in park and nearly collided into house with people in it. Furthermore, there was extreme risk of injury or death trying to jump into moving truck and hit the brakes causing it to stop.Issue could harm or kill someone. Driver then attempted to simulate the issue twice and successfully recorded video on phone. Driver repeatedly parked RAM truck on incline, shifted vehicle from drive to park, and lifted foot off brake pedal and vehicle began rolling down hill until brake was depressed. Vehicle was unable to be parked on hill without emergency brake being deployed or vehicle risked rolling down the hill. Owner has video footage of truck rolling down hill in park. Vehicle is scheduled to be inspected by RAM service center on March 2, 2023.

11/21 purchased a 2022 Ram 2500 Tradesman level 2. Have been experiencing multiple issues since the purchase. Here is the MOST concerning at this time: On February 11, 2023 was at a stop sign when it felt like the truck was hit from behind. Looked in rearview mirror and there was no vehicle behind me. Was able to get it into a dealer on March 2, 2023 to get checked out. They only drove for one mile and stated no issue. Also stated that since no error code showed on the computer, then there is not an issue. This intermittent issue continues with multiple visits to dealerships with the same outcome: they are not able to duplicate the issue and no code is showing on the computer. My safety concern is the truck could lurch forward and hit someone walking through an intersection or another vehicle that is stopped in front of me when an assured clear distance is not possible. Or someone could think traffic was moving forward and hit me from behind. Example: during rush hour traffic assured clear distance is left, but other drivers see that as an opening and pull in front of me. Also, not everyone leaves a safe distance between vehicles. It happened 2 times on my drive last night alone. Rush hour is stressful enough without the added issue of not trusting my truck to perform safely. No warning lights or gauges show up when the issue is happening. Have engaged with Stellantis Customer Care. Was informed by one customer care associate they had a case just like this one for another customer. They did not provide a resolution to this case.

Crankshaft position sensor went out at highway speed pulling a 5th wheel. Truck shut down in traffic and all power was lost. The throttle position engine light came on and the truck overheated and completely shut down nearly causing a high speed crash on I/40 east of amarillo. The 5th wheel was 17000 pounds and the truck had 37000 miles on it. The dealer (Lipscomb Dodge Elk City , OK) advised it was the crankshaft position sensor and that it was on the same circuit as numerous other sensors that are vital to keeping the engine running and the truck operating safely. The truck is available for inspection, and now has a loud ticking noise (possibly an injector, lifter, or exhaust leak due to the over heating caused by the faulty sensor.

This is the second time this is happening, first time June 30 2023 it was towed to rainbow ram in Covington because it lost power and multiple warning lights came on, service shifter appeared in message center, truck got home and wouldn't shift, then wouldn't start. Theyouldn't find the problem I was told they detected high voltage and checked for loose connection but couldn't find any issue despite having the truck more than a week. On August 3rd while driving on i10 in Alabama the truck had a sudden drop in power and start decelerating almost every warning light came on the dash with multiple message in the message center. It is currently at tameron ram in Alabama. The put it on a computer that showed almost every control module has failed. RAM will not guarantee to provide me a rental truck and the dealer can't tell me how long they will have it. To be clear I have no complaint aboutTameron ram staff. The last message on the display said to stop the truck in a safe place and that it may not start again. While tri g to get to the dealer it was going crazy with different lights and windshield wipers turning on by themselves.

Day after purchasing my truck the navigation screen went blank after plugging in iPhone to charge by usb. I could not use the 3 month trial of connect or use the remote features to start my truck or use navigation system to drive to an address. Could not use WiFi hotspot. Password and name would change every time I set it up. My navigation address would be modified while driving in route taking me home n opposite direction away from where I was trying to go. All settings would be modified constantly. Paid $400+ for a year subscription for navigation and connect but can’t use. AT&T told me someone had acquired the cell number associated with the simcard module in the navigation system and the SIM card must be replaced or they could continue to unlock my doors. My truck has been broken into more than 7 times and have stolen cash, ham radio and keys to my home and RV. Cannot get service manager at Prestige Dodge to change the simcard module out. He changes his story every time I try to bring my try back n to get the simcard module replaced. I am disabled use a wheelchair or rollator to get around. I fear for my life due to the number of times they have broken into my truck. Have video footage of hackers using my Dodge Ram app on their cell phone and getting into my truck on more than one occasion. Have filed 5 police reports to date. They now prevent the officers from contacting me about the police reports I have filed and have stolen bags of silver bars and silver coins I gave my son. They have ruined 4 iPhones and 3 laptops that were in my Ram. Truck has had lifters replaced due to tick, sluggish performance and engine vibration. Truck was driven less then 500 miles and problem re-occurred. With research I have learned this is a widespread problem, and ram techs have reported complained there is no fix, and they are just reinstalling parts that will fail again. I feel the engine has had metal ran through it which in my opinion could cause this engine to seize up at. T tow a larch travel trailer with my family an and small pets in this vehicle.i live in the Desert where temperatures reach in the 120s. I can’t have a vehicle that could stop running leave myself and my family in a situation where the truck stops running, to be either hit by another vehicle or on the road side broken down. Problem was documented at 17000 miles and still under the 3 year 36 warranty.

Engine had a tick, dealer said it was lifters. Dealer replaced lifters after having the truck for three weeks. Noise is back 2022 ram 6.7 with 17000 miles. This issue could cause engine failure at any speed and I use this truck to pull a large travel trailer. I’m concerned the noise is back and putting metal shavings into the engine will cause catastrophic engine failure at some point.

5th gen ram with the 6.7 Cummins diesel have a massive problem with lifters. Extremely common for trucks with under 10k miles needing the extensive repair done. I’ve read in some cases people whole motors breakdown due to this failure while on the highway pulling a load. My specific truck had to have all the lifters replaced at 76k miles. There needs to be a manufacture recall on these.

This is a safety recall ISSUE, I continue to have a problem with this dealer (Hunter Dodge in Lancaster ca) on resolving 3 safety recalls on my 2022 Ram 2500 I have been on the dealers waiting list for 8 months now. Recently I received a call from Chrysler Co. that the dealer had the parts inhouse and I should call the dealer (Hunter Dodge in Lancaster ca) to set up an appointment. I called the person who is responsible at the dealership to get an appointment, she stated there was no reason for the appointment because she did not have the parts to fix my truck and hung up the phone. I received a call from Chrysler saying the parts are at the dealer, and yet when I call they continue to say the parts are not in. I am planning to go out of town with my family soon and I am VERY worried about this being a SAFTEY issue for 8 months now. I wonder if this problem qualifies as a 'Lemon Law' issue or any other action?, I hope you can help resolve this issue. Vehicle would not start. I put a new battery in, the vehicle still would not start, and the break pedal was stiff. Had someone jump the vehicle, i started it and drove to the dealership service department where I originally bought the vehicle. They said it may be the starter. but they hadn't looked at the vehicle. I told them I would drive to a different shop because it's cheaper. When I tried to put it in drive the vehicle would not move it was giving an error message on the dash. I had to leave the truck there. 2 days later they called me and told me the issue was caused by a recalled part and they fixed the issue. When I arrived they told me I would have to pay $215 diagnostic fee. I told them it's federally prohibited to charge for a recalled part. I had to argue with them to get my vehicle back. They told me next time I should tow the vehicle if I dont want to pay a diagnostic fee. I attached proof of the recall service and the $215 fee listed that they tried to charge me.

I had to hard brake on a damp roadway at about 50 mph. The truck began to rotate and skid. I had no control over the vehicle until it stopped. The dash lights came on for a failure of the brakes, abs, traction control, and stability control. All of the lights went off then the truck seemed to drive normally. A short time later the lights came on and would not go off. Took the truck to the dealer. The hydraulic control unit was bad and was replaced. This did not fix the truck. Now it needs an abs control module. The truck remains at the dealer awaiting this repair. This appears to be a problem in the previous model year Ram 2500’s and it looks like my 2022 is affected also. There are recalls for these trucks but not for my model year.

My 2022 RAM 2500 only has about 10k miles and today when I started the vehicle in my driveway, the ABS and Traction control lights came ON. Did some google searching and found that this is a known issues plaguing RAM trucks since 2018! I'm going to call dealer tomorrow and hopefully this can be diagnosed and fixed promptly. However I'm not confident as I'm still waiting on a different RAM recall which dealer says the parts are only being released to each dealer in quantities of 1 per month. Paying $80k+ for a truck that can't be driven due to known manufacturers issues from 6 yrs ago is unacceptable. I hope NHTSA can help force RAM to address these issues.

The contact owns a 2022 Ram 2500. The contact stated that while driving and attempting to park, when the brake pedal was depressed, it became spongy and was inoperable. As a result, the contact crashed into a building and damaged the aluminum siding of the building. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed with front left caliber failure and needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 2300.
NHTSA #11534756
The brakes fail to work when applied. When depressing the brake pedal it sticks half way and requires continued pressing and release of the pedal before locking the disc. During the process the vehicle propels forward, creating a safety hazard that could result a serious accident and death. The malfunction occurs at low and high speeds.

After the y43 recall that Dodge did on 2022 Cummins Ram vehicles I have had four issues. The first one being the recall itself having sensors stuck while replacing, the second being the particulate filter sensor, third being DPF pressure sensor, and fourth being the maf sensor. During my most recent visit of getting the math sensor replaced I was not given any reason to why this was being replaced when they said everything seem to be within parameters. The dealership had stayed in one talking to the TA or tech advisor that they wanted to try this to see if it fixed the issue. I am now back again at the dealership just days later after the dealership having my truck for 2 weeks for the same issue. This all stems from the y43 recall and I've only had issues since. I've asked for specific answers to specific questions in Dodge seems to pass technical engineering questions back to the dealership without providing educated answers instead of educated guesses. During the y43 recall it stated that there is potential fire hazards in other issues that could happen. I'm not okay with ram allowing for guessing games when it comes to my safety. I would like answers in educated fixes put into place while ensuring that the y43 recall they guaranteed the government is resolved without any further issues during this fix.

My 2022 Ram 2500 6.4L HEMI has a long crank/hard-start issue every morning. It takes 5–6 attempts to start when the vehicle sits overnight. After starting once, it runs normally the rest of the day. I also had issues where the truck struggled to start after refueling. I replaced the gas cap and EVAP purge valve, which improved the refueling issue, but the long-crank cold start continues. I suspect a fuel pump internal check-valve failure causing fuel pressure to bleed down overnight. This is common on these trucks and is a safety concern because the vehicle may fail to start in emergency situations or stall unexpectedly. No check-engine light is present. The issue is repeatable daily.” Faulty fuel pumps in these specific RAM models can suddenly fail while driving. This failure can lead to a complete loss of engine power without warning, increasing the risk of a crash.

the forward fuel filter canister is constructed of plastic.i have found several blog sites complaining of the canister cracking and leaking fuel down the side o the engine.i replaced the filter in my truck several months ago and last week I noticed a heavy flow of fuel coming from under the diesel motor.the dealer said I did the damage when I changed the filter[a very simple job that any room temperature IQ mechanic could perform}now they want to charge me hundreds to replace it. I found a company that has already made a better part to replace the cheap plastic canister with a billet aluminum fixture.i don't think its right to push off their poor quality parts on consumers and then make them pay to fix it.check out Cummins Forum and Black Market Performance for the improved replacement parts.

My 2022 Ram 2500 with only 9,900 miles failed to start requiring it be towed to the dealership. The dealer reported the fuel injector harness had failed and replaced it but then it started throwing other codes. The technician determined there was metal shavings in high pressure fuel pump (HPFP) so they contacted Ram engineers and started a STAR case. After two months and countless "pictures" taken and sent the the Ram engineers, they claim it was contaminated fuel which caused the metal shavings to be found in the HPFP. The engineers stated that there were no metal shavings found in the return filter so the metal shaving came from "contaminated fuel." This logic is impossible because for metal shavings to make it from the fuel tank to the HPFP and be visible they must travel through two fuel filter, one of which filters down to 5 microns. The dealership acknowledged the engineers logic didn't make sense to them either. The return filter showed some debris but if metal shavings can pass through a 5 micron paper filter than it would also pass through the metal screen found on the return line inside the tank. Ram is refusing to honor their warranty and trying to stick me with the bill even after they already are aware of a faulty fuel pump in their trucks.

A driver was driving their vehicle on surface streets in Hollywood, CA. When they went to make a 3-point turn to park, they heard a loud noise and felt the vehicle drop. The driver got out to look and saw that the left front wheel was loose and bound up into the vehicles fender. The unit was towed back to the yard and inspected by our internal Fleet Department. It was found that the left front knuckle assembly had cracked, broken and failed between the lower ball joint and the rest of the knuckle assembly. The vehicle was towed to a Ram dealer where it was repaired under warranty and the failed parts were retained by the dealership.

I noticed that all four shocks on my 2022 Ram Longhorn limited edition with factory air ride suspension are leaking fluid from around the piston head. I have tried to get the problem fixed but have not been able to find OEM shocks or even aftermarket shocks. I took it my local dealer ship with the recall notice the first one I received ( I have two now) the dealer ship has found only two shocks but they haven't told me which ones ( front or rear). Lithia Jeep, Dodge, of Klamath Falls Oregon knows all about this problem. They don't want to do the recall notices until all the parts are in, plus the bug deflecter on the front of the truck needs to be installed.I have been waiting now for about six months with no word as to how long it's going to take to get some shocks I continue stopping by to see if there is any news about the shocks but nothing yet, I have only about 43 or 44 thousand miles on this truck as it isn't driven that much. I have noticed that the suspension is really getting a hard work out when driving the rear air ride suspension is the only thing that is working on the rear . I am afraid that something else is going to fail or break that's going to cost me thousands of dollars that I don't have. Can't someone look into this problem.

The truck has not been in any accidents, no visible wear on the seatbelt. We typically use the rear seatbelts for our children but now we cannot ride with 5 passengers safely in the vehicle. Bought 2022 Dodge Ram 2500 equipped with Firestone LT275/70R18E 125 tires on Dec2023. Truck has 21000 miles, sidewalls on all 4 tires are splitting and have a ring around them in the same exact spot on the sidewalls. Dealer said it appears to be a defect on all tires. Dodge referred me to Firestone, got no where with them. Tires appear the sidewalls could blow out on highway and unsafe. Caught defects before possible premature blowouts on all 4 tires due to premature cracking on sidewalls. No towing or hauling done with truck, never been off pavement either, truck parked under cover from sun etc. Dealer advised tires not worn and had great tread depth. Dodge Ram installed these tires to sell the truck but referred me to Firestone for replacement, still trying to get someone to own up to these defective tires besides me.

I purchased this 2022 Ram 2500 crew cab diesel 4x4 in June of 2023. The truck was purchased brand new with only 8 miles on it. The truck had the original OEM - Firestone Transforce HT LT275 70 R18 tires. The truck has 9500 miles on it now and I just noticed that all 4 tires have dry rot type cracking around a slightly depressed ring on the sidewall of the tires. This looks similar to the defective tires described in a voluntary recall of the same tires in 2021. These tires appeare to be defective. There is no reason that tires that are a few years old wth only 9500 miles on them should have this uniform dry rot type cracking on all 4 tires. I took the truck to Discount tire and the technician confirmed that the tires were not safe to operate so now I have to buy all 4 tires and I am replacing the spare as well. I should not have to buy a whole set of truck tires at 9500 miles! 2021 Recall information: [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

The good flutters at speed over 65 mph, when there's a headwind or crosswind. The hood flutters very badly when being passed head-on by a semi truck. Dodge (and most truck manufacturers) went to aluminum bonded hoods, as opposed to steel- the aluminum hoods have significant lift. I went to ram- they blamed the flutter on my big deflector. A simple search shows hundreds of complaints. I personally worry about hood latch failure or failure of the loop that locks into the hood latch itself- causing accidents. RAM is mute on the subject.

I am reporting a recurring safety defect involving hydraulic lifter failure in Ram trucks equipped with the Cummins diesel engine (model years 2019–2024). This issue is widely acknowledged by Stellantis and multiple dealers. It typically begins with a knocking sound and has been documented in many cases to progress to complete engine failure. My vehicle has fewer than 20,000 miles. The lifters were already replaced once, which required the cab to be removed. Within less than 400 miles of that repair, the knocking sound has returned. I brought the truck to a second dealer, who confirmed the problem and informed me that Stellantis has an active STAR case acknowledging the defect. They stated there is currently no known permanent fix. This defect presents a serious safety concern. Sudden engine failure while driving, especially under load or at highway speeds, could lead to loss of power, loss of steering/braking assist, and potential accidents. In my situation, I frequently travel with family members who have medical conditions, and being stranded in hazardous or remote conditions poses significant risk. At this point, my vehicle is not reliable or safe to operate. I am requesting NHTSA investigate the hydraulic lifter defect in 2019–2024 Ram Cummins trucks due to the safety implications and the lack of an available permanent repair.

My screen on my truck went out and had to be reset manually, next my heated steering wheel stopped working. The problem is the cool spring in my steering wheel. Upon research there is a common problem with this said coil spring. This can cause multiple problems including loss of air bag function and front end collision indicator which comes on time to time saying it’s disabled due to this same said coil. Why this is not a recall and the owner’s responsibility is unknown. There is also no indicator telling you if the airbag may or may not deploy when need from this issue.

While slowing for traffic, I was struck in the rear by a large pickup. On impact, the driver seat broke, causing the whole seat to tilt back to more than 45 degrees backwards tilt. This caused me to impact the seat at a greater impact than I would have had if the seat remained in place. The seat being in that position after the impact, made it so I could not reach the pedals (brakes) to stop the vehicle from rolling forward until I used the steering wheel to pull myself forward. Upon inspection after the collision, it was observed that part of the adjustment assembly detached from a bolt causing the seat to come loose from its proper position.

I bought my 2022 Ram 2500 brand new as a factory order. It is currently in the shop at Ron Lewis Ram in Cranberry Twp, PA to get a rear window water leak diagnosed. The dealer has told me that the rear windows frame is cracked in multiple places and wont be covered by my 8 year/125,000 mile max care warranty. I told them that it should be covered since its apparently a factory defect that caused the issue. They informed me that since I am at 55,000 miles, Ram wont pay to repair the issue, that I had until 36,000 miles to have this issue and have it repaired. Through the power of Google search, I was able to find that countless Ram 1500 trucks have had this identical issue and a TSB exists for it. The TSB for the Ram 1500 (23-098-23 Rev A) states that it was caused by a manufacturing issue, that the repairs will be made, and that Ram will cover the repair until the truck hits 8 years/ 150,000 miles. I cannot find a TSB for the 2500 trucks that have the identical issue and I can't believe for a second that I have the only 2500 Ram on the road with this issue, especially after seeing the identical problem with the Ram 1500 and even the Jeep Gladiator, all from the same manufacturer of Stellantis- who owns both Ram and Jeep. The dealer says that I will have to pay a couple of thousand dollars out of pocket to have these repairs made on my own.

The Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor on my 2022 Ram 2500 failed, causing multiple system malfunctions. It triggered inaccurate Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) codes and showed abnormally high idle hours that do not reflect actual vehicle use. This defect is tied to a known issue identified by Stellantis in Technical Service Bulletin #18-002-24, which acknowledges improper MAF sensor calibration or compatibility on vehicles like mine. The bulletin was verbally confirmed by the dealership as applying to my truck. This faulty sensor caused emissions system errors, degraded engine performance, and may impact emissions compliance. There was a persistent check engine light, reduced fuel economy, and the risk of engine derating. The problem was reproduced and confirmed by Encore Chrysler (Mobile, AL), an authorized Ram dealership. Stellantis has agreed to cover the repair under Goodwill, but the issue appears systemic. Safety was potentially compromised by inaccurate sensor data that may cause sudden engine derate or failure during operation. Additionally, the incorrect idle hour readings could affect warranty determinations and long-term diagnostics if not corrected. The check engine light first appeared on May 21, 2024. The vehicle has been out of service since May 22, 2024, and repairs are still pending. The MAF sensor and affected systems are available for inspection upon request. This issue may affect a broader set of Ram 2500 trucks, and given the manufacturer’s internal bulletin, it may merit a recall review.

The vehicle has experienced repeated failures related to the diesel emissions system despite multiple repair attempts. The primary symptom is an illuminated check engine light accompanied by diagnostic trouble code P2459 (Diesel Particulate Filter Regeneration Frequency). The vehicle frequently enters regeneration cycles and continues to exhibit the same symptoms after major emissions system repairs. The emissions system components, including the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) and related DEF system components, were previously replaced by an authorized dealer. Following those repairs, the same warning light and fault code returned. The vehicle was subsequently inspected by another authorized dealer, which was unable to identify a definitive cause of the recurring condition. The check engine light was cleared, but it returned less than a week later with the same symptoms. The failure creates a safety concern because the vehicle may enter reduced-power or limp-home operating modes without warning, potentially limiting acceleration and the ability to maintain traffic speed. This is especially concerning when merging onto highways, crossing intersections, towing loads, or operating in heavy traffic. The recurring nature of the failure has reduced confidence in the reliability and safe operation of the vehicle. The condition has been reproduced multiple times and has been documented by authorized service facilities. Warning lamps and fault codes have repeatedly reappeared following repairs. The vehicle and emissions system components remain available for inspection upon request.

We own a RAM 2500 truck with an Integrate Brake Controller that is used to activate the trailer brakes on our 10,000+ lb 5th wheel RV. On our last rv trip, the Brake Controller test was not producing the necessary braking function on the trailer (putting more stress upon the trucks braking system). We became acutely aware of this as we attempted to stop on a downhill grade (highway exit ramp) where the traffic control switched to Red. We were barely able to stop in time, which had not happed in the past. When we arrived home, we did research and decided to switch the RV brakes from Drum to Disc brakes based upon research and our belief that the brakes were simply not sufficient for the RV Trailer. We had an RV shop install a brand new disc brake (electric/hydraulic) brake system. When we went to pick up the RV, we tested the brakes and they continued to be very weak (despite working on the RV dealers test equipment and truck). We had the RAM dealership test the brake controller and they said that it was "operating", despite the fact that it is not triggering the necessary braking action. When I went on-line to research, I found many posts in the RAM owner forum that discussed this exact issue from many RAM owners. All had pursued repairs from their dealers, all to no avail. RAM denies that their controller is the problem, yet owners who go through the process of replacing their OEM equipment with aftermarket controllers all report that their brakes now operate as intended. These posts encourage folks who have similar problems to report to this website in the hopes that an investigation and recall would be triggered. I can't wait for the government to finally get convinced that this is a problem as I cannot go on the road with this brake controller in its current state. It is an incredibly dangerous condition, and I sincerely hope that you will take action to investigate and take the appropriate action with RAM/Dodge.

I have a clunk to when coming to a stop, the transmission is down shifting, and just before it comes to a complete stop, the truck has a clunk that is felt through the vehicle and heard. at times while stopped the vehicle will lurch forward as though you have been hit from behind. The truck has been back to the dealership several times for this problem, two different dealerships because the first one gave up and was suggested to take it to another dealership per Ram. The truck has been shut down completely two time to put in relearn mode, three transmission replacements, four valve body replacements, and they wanted to put a fourth transmission in the truck, but the mechanic said he doubts thats the problem to Ram, and so now they want to say that its operating as design, Ram asked me to take it to a third dealership, so I did, the mechanic and I went for a drive in the truck, the mechanic said there is definitely a problem, but he would not take on this job because he would not want to deal with Ram and there politics. So that leaves me driving a 2022 Ram 2500 truck I purchased [XXX] that did not have this problem until after purchase six months later. Ram customer care has offered money for my inconvenience, I said I just want my truck fixed, they said they are not going to do anymore. I paid good money for this truck, and it seems Ram does not care, they got my money and so they got what they wanted. If Ram cannot fix this, then let's talk about getting me in another truck. Vehicle has continuous ongoing issues since day of purchase with big screen radio display. System randomly changes screens and drops connection with source over and over again while vehicle is in operation. This is also affecting the rear parking assist sensor system making it work randomly at times and give false triggers or sometimes no triggers when collision is about to happen. The random screen changes are an EXTREME distraction while driving because the screen is extremely large in the center stack and when the image is randomly changing in your peripheral vision it draws driver's attention off the road. These connection issues also affect audio sources and make it necessary for the driver to interact with touch screen a ridiculous number of times per short drive further distracting the driver. There has been ongoing issues with this vehicle since the day I purchased it new. Multiple attempts by multiple different Ram dealerships to repair/resolve the issues with no solutions found yet. Actual radio unit in dash was replaced with 2 new units by dealers in attempts to resolve issues with no improvements. Dealerships have worked with Ram engineering and opened multiple STAR cases on vehicle in relation to these problems. Contacted Ram customer care multiple times and requested Ram buyback or deem this vehicle as lemon law vehicle. To date vehicle has been in for attempted service for these issues more than 4 times and would have been in 2-3 times this number of visits if not such an extreme inconvenience. Demanded Ram buyback the vehicle and have got pushback from them. Vehicle has been in service since May 2023, was purchased new from dealer with less than 100 miles on odometer.

First issue (intermittent) the light control did not come on or operate the lights in the auto position to a high beam in limited visibility. The rotation knob for interior lighting would not work and the display was bright that affected seeing at night. No codes was generated and will be going to have the vehicle check out by dealership on Feb 8 2023. Second issue the truck demonstrated a short loss of power (a low grinding was heard) in two instances that resulted in low acceleration when turning across traffic lane.

The abs and traction control Lights keep coming on making the safety systems unavailable. This has happened 5 times, they clear when stopped but come on again. I am driving in snowy conditions and am in danger. This was scanned By one dealer and they said sometimes the sensor malfunctions and it reset and it was fixed - it kept happening on a cross country trip.

After so many times in shop I went over to sales in December to find out what to do so many safety issues. They called it a lemon and trade for exact same one make model year. Had 6 people helping us and they did it as a trade in. Lost my 30,000 trade in and made to pay off lemon. They sold it when no it is legally ours since we had to pay it off. The Tire Pressure Monitoring System (as mandated by NHTSA) fails to function properly. The system can be inspected upon request by the NHTSA because the local dealerships cannot determine the problem and refuse to contact the manufacture. Operating vehicles with over/under inflated ties causes numerous driving difficulties as well as premature and unnecessary wear on the tires. If it wasn't a concern the NHTSA wouldn't have mandated TPMS. Dealership refuses to acknowledge there is a problem. They just inflate the tires to the manufacturer recommendation and say its fixed. 2-3 days later the system tells me I have low tires. When I Check my tires with a Digital Gauge the tire pressure is correct. Problem started 10 months after purchasing this vehicle new in Jan 2022. After confirming with the dealership the installation of aftermarket Tires/Wheels would NOT void my warranty, I had the Dealer installed a set of aftermarket tires/wheels. They were supposed to remove the TP Sensors from each tire/wheel and installed in the new aftermarket tires/wheels. At this point I don't know if its a Tire Sensor problem, a problem with the system ( I believe behind the rear seat) that relays the information to the Dash Cluster or the Uconnect5 System where the Tire Pressures can be set. Dealer states I MUST inflate ties to the Tire Pressure Label installed by the manufacture on the Door Jam. I know from 23 year military transportation experience and having a friend loose his life because of over inflating a tire in the Vehicle Maintenance Shop as well as a Commercial Driver License Instructor You always use the information on the side of the tire provided by the Tire Manufacture. The Tire Pressure Monitoring System is accessed through the UConnect5 Computer System where the owner can program features associated with the vehicle such as Temperature, Lighting, Radio Stations, Tire Pressures and a host of other features.
