Exterior Lighting7 quejas

Component/System: Exterior lighting — right front low beam headlight. Vehicle is available for inspection upon request. 2019 model year vehicle has 65,000 miles Safety risk: The right low beam headlight failed, reducing forward visibility on the right side during nighttime driving and in low-visibility conditions. This creates risk of failing to see pedestrians, road hazards, or lane markings, and may cause oncoming drivers or law enforcement to misidentify the vehicle as a motorcycle. Dealer/service confirmation: Failure has not yet been confirmed by a dealer. Manufacturer/other inspection: No additional inspections conducted. Prior warning symptoms: No warning lamp or dashboard message appeared prior to failure. The headlight went out without prior indication.

Headlight on the passenger side. Very common for this year and model Porsche. We took the car to a carwash. We entered with both headlights working. We went straight home and as we pulled into the garage we saw that the passenger side headlight wasn't working. There was no indication on the dashboard or warning that the headlight was out. I had to drive home in the dark in unsafe conditions with only 1 headlight and I wasn't aware that I had only 1 headlight. Roads were dark other cars didn't realize that it was a car with 1 headlight and not a motorcycle. We looked up information about the headlight and learned that it is very common and it is a mechanical failure of Porsche that has not been corrected. Replacement of the headlight is 5,000. which is completely unacceptable when it is a mechanical issue. The car needs a recall. Porsche should pay for the replacement. My insurance denied my claim and said it was a mechanical problem and should be handled by Porsche. There is no damage on the outside of the headlight. Somehow water got inside and blew out the headlight. We read about this problem online. Porsch knows about this problem. They are not taking responsibility for their mechanical failure. There is alot online about complaints from owners and no help from Porsche. March 29, 2026

I have an accident-free 2019 Macan S with 40k miles. Recently my passenger side headlight went out, so I took it to the auto repair shop I use (they specialize in German cars). The passenger side light assembly has been deemed faulty, and I am still driving without a headlight -- concerning for safety reasons as well as for possible ticketing. After reading online, I see many Macan/Cayenne owners share the same light assembly issue - 2019+ cars in the 35k-50k mileage range. The quote for the new assembly is $5200. This is a known issue that is not the result of normal wear and tear.

My headlight on the right side stopped working after 6 years and I took it to the Porsche dealer to get it fixed and it turns out that it is a non-serviceable part and that it will need to be replaced as a pair and the bill is well over $7000. The dealership confirmed that it was the LED module that burned out and the whole headlight assembly will need to be replaced. This is of huge concern due to the fact that this is a major safety item for the car and that it should be a simple bulb change that should be serviceable. Because the right headlight was not working, the left headlight seems to be not aiming correctly as it is dipped towards the floor. There was no warning light or messages to tell me about the issue. I found out my headlight was out while driving at night. This is very dangerous when driving at night with minimal lighting. It is outrageous that I need to change both my headlight to change the led module that burned out. I did a lot of researching and there has been quite a large amount of people have the same issue with the headlight especially for model year 2019-2021. I feel that the headlights are defective or wasn’t designed well and the repair or replacement of these headlights should be covered. I reached out to Porsche North America for assistance to this matter but my car is out of warranty and they will not cover the cost of replacement. The headlight or LED module for the low beams should be designed to last the life of the car or be serviceable and affordable to be replaced.

Passenger side headlight failed and malfunctioned partially, DLR works properly but low beam light failed without notice. there is no warning lamp or message displayed to warn driver the headlight is failed

NHTSA #11703292

Head light Low beam on passenger side failed and no longer works

NHTSA #11726764

Right headlight assembly defective. Turns out MANY 2019 Macans have this same problem. Only 2019 and only the right side. VERY expensive repair, and many would put it off causing a safety issue

THE SMALL PORTABLE AIR PUMP THAT CAME WITH THE CAR WOULD BLOW THE FUSE TO THE CIGARETTE 12 V OUTLET ON ABOUT EVERY THIRD OR FOURTH USE. THIS WOULD HAPPEN EACH TIME AFTER YOU PUT IN A NEW 20AMP FUSE. I CAN'T TELL WHETHER THIS IS CAUSED BY THE AIR PUMP OR THE CIRCUITRY ON THE CAR. I HAVE GONE THROUGH FIVE FUSES ALREADY.

Car intermittently reverses in drive while coming out of park (on flat surfaces). Provided videos of incidents to Porsche but they have not been able to identify the issue. This has almost caused an accident. Two people were standing behind my car when I put the car in drive but it reversed. Dealer has investigated (very cursory) on multiple occasions now based on the video evidence but has been unable to replicate the issue (since it’s intermittent) and therefore will not take action. (I can provide videos but there is no option to do so on this upload). Incident date below is most recent incident.

THE VEHICLE SPEEDOMETER SHOWS A SPEED THAT EXCEED THE ACTUAL SPEED BY UP TO SIX PERCENT. PORSCHE CLAIMS IT IS WITHIN THE LEGAL LIMIT AND THEY DO NOT NEED TO CORRECT IT.

Vehicle keeps entering limp mode when driving. Complete loss of power car cannot move and is left stranded. Vehicle has been at the dealership diagnosed and repaired over 4 times but the problem still remains. Dealer states there is no rat or electrical damage, battery was replaced and software updated but the car keeps losing all power and needs tows constantly.

On Sunday June 5, 2022, I had to remove my 2019 Porsche Macan S right rear tire because it had a screw in it. I ahd to do it that day because its leaking had increased and it went totally flat, while I had been waiting many days for my purchased tire and road hazard service. I removed the tire and put in a temporary plug so it could be taken to the servicing dealer, Porsche Silver Spring, MD, on Tuesday June 7, 2022. While I was doing this work, the right rear jack lift point on the car failed and moved sideways towards the inboard of the car, allowing the jack to move under the car. Fortunately I was able to get the tire back on, but the car fell onto the jack and was damaged. The trim pieces and right rear door were damaged. I have pictures of the damage and the failed jack point. I was using the Porsche supplied jack and at all times followed all Porsche directions from the Porsche supplied “Good To Know” app, to the letter. On June 8, 2020 the dealership contacted me and confirmed that the jack point had failed and required replacement. They are also obtained an estimate of the cost to repair the damage to my vehicle caused by the jack point failure. I was very lucky not to have been injured. I believe this is a serious safety problem. I will provide more information upon request, including pictures. I was unable to load the pictures from my cell phone on this report.

Service Brakes1 queja

THE ISSUE IS THE SQUEAKING OF THE REAR BRAKES WHEN BACKING UP. THE WOULD HAPPEN WHEN THE CAR HAD BEEN DRIVEN. THIS HAPPENS IN COLD OR HOT WEATHER. A FACTORY DEALERSHIP HAD LOOK AT THE ISSUE BUT FOUND NOTHING. THIS PROBLEM STARTED WHEN THE CAR WAS ABOUT TWO TO THREE MONTHS OLD. I ALSO HAVE A 2020 AUDI Q7, AND IT HAS ALMOST THE SAME ISSUE WHEN BACKING UP. HOWEVER, IT DOES MORE IN THE MORNING WHETHER THE WEATHER IS HOT OR COLD. WE VISITED AN AUDI DEALERSHIP BUT THEY FOUND NOTHING. A SEPARATE COMPLAINT HAD BEEN FILED UNDER MY NAME AS WELL. BOTH CARS HAVE THE SAME 3.0L V6 ENGINE.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2019 PORSCHE MACAN. WHILE DRIVING 60 MPH OR MORE, THE VEHICLE VEERED FROM SIDE TO SIDE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN UNKNOWN DEALER AND AN ALIGNMENT WAS PERFORMED BECAUSE IT WAS SLIGHTLY OFF; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO TWO INDEPENDENT MECHANICS WHO CHECKED THE TORQUE ON THE SUSPENSION COMPONENT AND CONFIRMED THE FAILURE WAS DUE TO THE TIRES. THE CONTACT WENT TO ANOTHER TIRE DEALER TO REPLACE THE TIRES AT HIS EXPENSE AND TEST THE OLD TIRES FOR DEFECTS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70.
