Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee and 2021-2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee L vehicles. The center stack upper display (DCSD) contains a transistor that may overheat and prevent the rearview camera image from displaying. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 111, "Rear Visibility."

Consecuencia reportada: A rearview image that does not display reduces the driver's visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedio: Dealers replaced the DCSD, free of charge. All affected vehicles have been repaired. Owner notification letters were mailed February 27, 2025. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is 11C.

As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 214, "Side Impact Protection."

Consecuencia reportada: An air bag that does not deploy during a crash increases the risk of injury.

Remedio: Dealers secured the connector, free of charge. All affected vehicles have been remedied. Owner notification letters were mailed December 17, 2024. Owners may contact FCA customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA's number for this recall is B3B.

Consecuencia reportada: Rear coil springs that detach from the vehicle while driving increase the risk of a crash.

Remedio: Dealers will inspect and repair the rear coil spring assembly, as necessary, free of charge. Interim notification letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, were mailed February 12, 2026. Additional letters will be sent once the final remedy is available, anticipated in March 2026. Owners may contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Randomly, and without warning, the instruments, gauges, and displays will switch into a language I do not speak or understand (Italian). Coinciding with the switch to Italian language, cluster and radio display settings revert back to default settings, auto door locks and paddle shifter becomes inoperative (with no menu to enable), pedestrian emergency brake (peb) lamp or forward collision warning (fcw) lamp turns on with no way to disable, units of measurement including speed, temperature, etc. all change, and many other random settings change as well. ***This is clearly a dangerous situation because of all the functions and gauges that change, and the fact it is difficult if not impossible to recover from this due to the language of the setting menus, and the complexity of discovering and navigating through all these changes. I have taken it to the dealer twice, and they say there is nothing they can do and to wait for a possible software update, but none has come and it has been over a year. When this happens, even if one is able to wade through all the settings menus and change setting back, some items cannot be reset (like the FCA off lamp). According to various Jeep owner forums, some dealers have been able to reset something and temporarily correct the issue, but they charge for this service, and the issue returns randomly again. Battery is being completely depleted by unknown source. Vehicle will not start or any functions do not work. A one day old new battery was completely drained and depleted in a 24 hour period.

I started getting random "service hybrid electrical system" warnings. The warning would come up and go away after approximately 5 seconds. On 2/5/25 I was on the highway going about 65mph when this warning light came on and I lost power. I still had power steering and brakes, but no acceleration. I was in the middle lane during rush hour, trying to coast over to the shoulder. Luckily I was able to make it without causing an accident. I put the vehicle in park and was able to restart. This happened a second time, but luckily I had just parked and was idling. Obviously, this is a very scary, dangerous situation for a vehicle to suddenly lose power anytime let alone when on a very busy highway. The vehicle is currently at the Jeep dealer, but I have read that this is a very common problem with the Jeep hybrids and does not sound like Jeep has figured out the root cause.

I received notice regarding the recall for this Hybrid vehicle being unsafe to charge and use the electric portion due to the risk of fire. I am also not to park near any structures because of the risk of fire. THIS RECALL HAS BEEN ACTIVE SINCE SEPTEMBER OF THIS YEAR. EVERY TIME I CALL THE DEALER THEY SAY THEY DO NOT KNOW WHEN OR IF THEY WILL GET PARTS IN TO FIX THIS. THIS IS A VERY SERIOUS SAFETY RECALL ESPECIALLY WITH CHILDREN. THIS ALSO HAS PROHIBITED ME FROM PLUGGING MY CAR UP TO CHARGE AS THIS COULD INCREASE THE RISK OF IT CATCHING ON FIRE. I WOULD LIKE TO GET A TIME FRAME OF WHEN THIS MAY BE FIXED OR GET A REPLACEMENT CAR UNTIL THEN IF POSSIBLE. I UNDERSTAND IT IS THE MANUFACTURER AND NOT THE DEALERSHIPS FAULT BUT ITS A SERIOUS MATTER THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN FIXED ALREADY.

First vehicle start of the day. Fcw off light on paddle shifters inop, all nomenclature on ipc and radio in Italian language ,all temp readings in celcius.Celsius. Happens on every vehicle key cycle.

NHTSA #11707938

My 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee L experienced a sudden, simultaneous failure of multiple electrical, safety, and driver-assistance systems. Without warning, the instrument cluster illuminated a yellow warning light indicating that the Forward Collision Warning (FCW) system was disabled and unavailable. Concurrently, the steering wheel paddle shifters completely stopped functioning, and the vehicle randomly reset its primary language setting to Italian reverted its system units to Metric and Celsius. Furthermore, critical user customization options in the Uconnect 5 infotainment system—specifically the auto-folding side mirrors option, automatic door locking preferences, and passenger seat controls—completely disappeared from the settings menus.

Forward collision warning system not working. Light on dashboard says system disabled. Paddle shifters also disabled. Temperature readings in metrics and language keeps changing. This is available for inspection if needed. We bought this car because of the collision warning and braking system safety features and none of them work. This puts our safety at risk. The dealer has updated the system but unfortunately it was only a temporary fix. The jeep dealer confirmed the issue and states there is no permanent fix for the issues. It first appeared in July and has been ongoing.

NHTSA #11717306

There are over a half a dozen features, including safety features that simply aren’t working: pedestrian avoidance, automatic braking, paddle shifters, high beam headlights, memory seats moving while driving, system and screens freezing or going blank while driving, Italian randomly being selected as the language, and the units of measure being switched to metric randomly among other things. I've paid the dealership $300 for a software update a year ago and now the same exact issue has happened again.

I purchased my vehicle in Sept. 2022. Issues began Nov. 2024. At first my radio screen was glitching and at the same time my car did a software update, it reset all my settings and my AEB system was disabled and would not turn back on regardless of how many times I turned it back on. The dealer did a manuel software update, replaced my screen (I paid the $100 warranty deductible) and it fixed the problem. A month and a half later it happened again without the update and my screen again was glitching. All my settings were changed and my AEB system was disabled. Dealer did a manual reset and another month and a half it happened again. At this appointment I asked them we need to do something else. This is not working. They saw that my alternate battery was not holding power well and not fully sending power to my module which controlled my radio/navigations systems also my safety features on the car. I replaced both batteries at $820. I needed 2 modules replaced. I had the module for the radio/navigation and safety features replaced and I am still currently waiting the other module that controls WiFi connections. It has been 3 weeks since I received my new module. After one week my radio screen was glitching. They said it was a lose wire and it needed to be replaced. As well as my auto start/stop button is being replaced because they most likely broke it due to them taking apart my radio so many times. Now at 3 weeks my car again reset my settings and my AEB is disabled. I have an appointment for them to look at it again but I have been to the dealer on an average once every 4-5 weeks since this issue began. Does not look like it’s going to fixed anytime soon.

In November 2024, Jeep applied an over-the-air software update to my Jeep Grand Cherokee L without my request. Immediately after the update, the forward collision warning system malfunctioned and warning indicators appeared. At the same time, multiple electronic body control and safety-related functions changed or stopped working, including the automatic door locks and several vehicle settings resetting (language, units, and driver-assist preferences). The affected systems are electronic safety and body control components and are available for inspection. The malfunction of the forward collision warning system puts vehicle occupants and others at risk because the vehicle may fail to provide collision alerts intended to help prevent or reduce the severity of a crash. There was no crash, damage, or hardware failure before or after the update. The vehicle operated normally prior to the software update. These problems have continued without interruption for more than 13 months and have not corrected themselves. The issue has not been confirmed by a dealer because Jeep Customer Care has required a paid dealership diagnosis before escalating or correcting a problem caused by its own software update. The vehicle has not been inspected by the manufacturer or any third party. Warning lights and messages related to the forward collision warning system first appeared immediately following the November 2024 update. Jeep/Stellantis has acknowledged similar over-the-air software-related issues in internal technical documentation (STAR Publication Case Number S2108000249, Revision C). This is a safety-related software defect affecting forward collision warning and driver-assist systems.

The infotainment center went to error on Jeep with less than 60,000 miles. Owned from new 2 years. The infotainment center can not be accessed and it makes modifications on its own. Like choosing different language of Italian and using euro measurements. There is no way to change this. The biggest issue is that it turned off safety feature which I believe is the forward collision warning. There is no way to change safety setting with out infotainment system. It also believed to be causing battery to drain. Jeep will not assist.

Issue regarding Service 4wd light coming on. This is a known issue and is there is a Technical Service Bulletin but no recall. This is a safety hazard and needs to be addressed as a recall. For our 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4Xe: Vehicle failed to accelerate. The engine would kind of rev but no forward motion. This occurred after driving approximately 2 miles from my house. i had just made a right turn at a busy intersection and driven approximately 100 yards when the car would not accelerate. This occurred on a very busy street. Luckily, I was able to coast to the side of the road. After shutting the car off and starting it again, it was able to again accelerate. This was scary as my wife and daughter were in the car. It has not yet been reproduced by a dealer. There were no warning lights or messages. This seems familiar to a recall that is issued for same year Jeep Wrangler 4Xe models.

Engine got really loud but idled would got shift out of 1st gear. Happened why accelerating after stopping. Traffic was moving at 45 -55 miles past me. And I was unable to pull over. I got to the next red light. Put the vehicle in park then back into drive and was able to drive to the closest dealer. They found no trouble codes when plugging into the computer. The vehicle has not been inspected by a mechanic or scheduled . I am waiting for an appointment confirmation in July. Not warning lights are messages display on the dash when the problem occurs. The loud engine and failure to shift into gear are the only symptoms

I would like to register a formal complaint for the timing its taking to get the open recall resolved on this vehicle. NHTSA Recall Number24V-720. Due to this issue, I am unable to leverage the hybrid/electric features of my vehicle which is costly me more money in fuel costs. Where I previously filled my tank approximately every 3 months, i now have to do it weekly. I have read online that estimates are taking another 4-5 months before resolution. That is unacceptable solution to an existing problem. This is not a great experience for a first time hybrid buyer who is trying to adopt the new technology. When I purchased my vehicle, i influenced two friends to also purchase one. I would have not made this recommendation had I known open recall issues will not be resolved in a timely manner. Lastly, now i have the concern of parking the vehicle in my garage which could result in losing my entire household and its contents. This is unreal to me.

Jeep app has failed to inform me of recalls in a timely manner. The Gas Buddy app linked to my vehicle VIN provided information within 24 hours of your published recall. I have checked my VIN in your app to verify that it is part of the recall. Since the battery fires can start without notice and could destroy my house and kill my family this should have been immediately sent via the Jeep app. The recall notification on the Jeep app has not been updated since 2 August 2024, also unacceptable - this should be updated at worst weekly. Sending notification by snail mail is not acceptable in the 21st century especially when there is an app and the vehicle has internet connection. The recall should also be announced on the start screen when I start my vehicle.

While on the highway, the 2 piece panoramic moonroof exploded. There was a loud pop, and then the glass shattered. There was no indication of any previous issue. The sun guard screen was open to let the light in, so the glass just fell into the car. A small, but unconfirmed observation from other drivers on the highway at the time, made me think the glass also fell unto the highway as the glass exploded away from the car. The dealership I took the car to was unable to confirm this was an explosion due to a defect or something hitting the car. However, I did not witness any object flying over head that would have dropped anything and nothing was found in the car. Only the dealership has looked at the Jeep so far. My insurance has been contacted to just let them know this occurred, but no claim has been filed as of 11/3/23.

Unknown, The Jeep designed as to not be able to be put in drive with a door ajar. Twice now pulling out of parking lots, while driving the vehicle has disabled itself, put it inself in park stating a door was left open. I'm alright with a vehicle not allowing an operator to leave park while a door is open but it shouldn't be able to disable the vehicle while turning on to a busy street once moving.

I took the vehicle in to have the dealer implement the fix for safety recall. 24V-720 (manufacturer #95b). The steps documented in the NHTSA Saftey bulletin were not followed. They omitted the charging requirements and skipped the drive cycle test as required in the safety recall instructions. I do not feel this recall was completed accurately and could put me at risk of fire if I attempt to charge the vehicle. The dealer just says they completed the recall. Mileage on the vehicle only incremented 1 mile from drop off to pick up and the battery was not charged for per the recall, making it impossible to perform the required steps of the recall.

Forward Collision Warning (FCW) light will not turn off. System has been reset per Star online publication S2108000249 (Misc Functions and run the “Customer Programable Feature Configuration”). System showing temperature in Celsius, tire pressure in kpa, speedometer in KMH, language in Italian. Previously saved settings not saved.

NHTSA #11712856

When powered up, the car's entertainment/control system switched to Italian and metric units. In addition, the Forward Collision Warning indicator lights up as disabled even though it's configured on. Unknown whether it's really on or off but if it's off, then this safety feature has become unavailable. This happened in April of this year and I had to take it to the dealership to get it reset for $250. The exact same thing has happened again--the unit has become unconfigured in Italian and metric mode and the forward collission warning disabled is again present.

NHTSA #11695827

A warning light popped up to tell me this system was disabled on my dashboard, at the same time the system switched to Italian and all of the units of measure switched to metric without warning. I took it in to the dealership and they reset everything, replaced the radio/computer, and assured me everything was working. Within a week, the same error occurred and the same issues. I took it back to the dealership and they acted like they had no idea why, but would look into it. While waiting I searched online and discovered a notice from Chrysler dated in 2024 saying this issue was occurring and dealerships should just reset the system. I also discovered a multitude of similar issues being reported by other owners of Jeep vehicles across various message boards. When I brought the "Star bulletin" to dealers attention, they admitted they were aware of the issue all along and had no idea when/if it would be fixed as it was an issue with the software in the vehicles themselves that Chrysler would need to fix. So, I was sent home with a vehicle that is not operating correctly. I have to assume the front collision and emergency braking is not working (along with quite a few other features I have discovered), and frankly I have no idea what safety features are or are not working as they could not (or would not) tell me what all was affected.

Event occurred within 2 days and 50 miles of recall 95B service being performed on 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe showing passing results. After startup of the vehicle and being placed into 'electric' only drive mode and DRIVE engaged, the vehicle traveled down the driveway approximately 10 feet when the vehicle juddered, the driver display showed an error message "Service Hybrid Electric Vehicle System", a red wrench icon appeared in the dashboard/instrument cluster, and the vehicle automatically switch into 'hybrid' drive mode and started the gasoline motor. The vehicle was turned off, then restarted. Upon restart the error message was not visible and the red wrench icon was gone. Vehicle was then able to be operated in full electric drive mode. My safety was at risk because if the sudden juddering and loss of power occurred at speed on the general roadway instead of in my driveway I could have lost control of the vehicle and crashed. I do not know if this has been reproduced by the dealership but I have heard anecdotally about other 4xe drivers having this same issue immediately after the 95B recall service was performed. The vehicle is scheduled for inspection with a Jeep dealership on 1/21/25

On [XXX], on [XXX] Express Lanes (XXX) at approximately 55mph, I drove over an uneven portion of the highway being maintained/bumpy (far left lane). After contacting the Farrish Jeep Dealer, 9610 Fairfax Blvd, Fairfax, VA 22031, I was told a recall (XXX) related to an upper control arm pinch bolt being likely why my steering might be affected. An appointment was scheduled for [XXX]. The issue happened intermittently but inconsistently up to the appointment date. During the [XXX], the Farrish dealer indicated the issue could not be duplicated. And I was required to pick up the Jeep. I subsequently called FCA USA, LLC (1 (800) 334-9200) indicating my concern driving the vehicle with intermittent issues that could result in a crash. I also requested to maintain the Loaner car that was issued during my service with Farrish Jeep; but no response/action was issued or received due to a required management call. It is March 10th, and I have not received the call. The vehicle is not safe to drive based on my recent experience and is available for inspection. And if there is any small chance that the current recall is affected by uneven terrain or bumps at high speeds; then I it can be catastrophic for my and my child’s health. ABS , Traction Control, Power brake booster, AEB inoperative after routine brake pads/rotor service. Vehicle was put into service mode via touch screen radio, rear brake service performed. Upon initial brake pedal application, required to exit service mode for rear brakes, to return caliper piston contact to brake pad. The vehicle disables abs and supporting system and sets codes c0050 , c2227 . As a technician my opinion is the extra brake fluid required to take up open space after service is discharged via accumulator into the brake system with no resistance or pressure due to caliper pistons expanding to the brake pads. These faults render the power brake boost abs and multiple other safety systems inoperative until a dealer level scan tool can perform abs initialization, and a hydraulic prove out test, and clear all codes, even with all code cleared power brake boost was lack just at best on initial test drive after service. A basic routine service should not affect a vehicle as adversely as this. What component or system failed or malfunctioned? Electrical system: infotainment display module, BCM, passive entry antenna, ignition/start system, and electronic power steering. Vehicle available for inspection. How was safety put at risk? The vehicle locked my children inside and would not start, requiring assistance to open it. The power steering failed for several hours, leaving the car unsafe to drive. Ongoing electrical instability creates unpredictable loss of critical functions. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer? Some issues were confirmed by the dealer (screen blanking, key fob failure, antenna fault, software issues). Others, including the power steering failure and lock-in incident, were not reproduced but were documented and acknowledged. Has the vehicle or component been inspected? Yes. The Jeep dealership has inspected the vehicle multiple times, performed software updates, antenna replacement, PCM updates, and a steering update. They provided history and advised contacting Jeep Cares. Warning lamps, messages, or symptoms prior to failure? Yes. Screen blanking, random language/time changes, stop/start light not working, key fob failure, vehicle not starting, and power steering not activating. Issues began in 2023 and have recurred through early 2025.

On Friday, January 16, 2026, I was involved in a head-on collision. During the accident, the airbags did not deploy, and the seatbelt failed to lock, which resulted in me not being properly restrained. As a result, I suffered a mild concussion along with significant bruising. In addition to this serious safety concern, we have made numerous complaints regarding ongoing electrical issues with the vehicle. These include the screens frequently changing languages and measurement units, blacking out entirely, or becoming unresponsive. The paddle shifters have also never functioned properly, despite the vehicle being serviced multiple times for this issue. What is especially concerning is that these same problems are widely reported by other Jeep owners online, yet they continue to go uninvestigated and unresolved. I have confirmed with the service advisor that it is now impossible to distinguish a real hybrid system malfunction from a "fake" airbag system warning. I am told that the vehicle is safe to drive and nothing requires repair, however, Jeep star publication case S2408000063 states there is a fix, but it is only to be used to "mitigate buyback." That is unacceptable and needs to be remedied as soon as possible.

Today was the second time the AEB engaged while I was driving with no apparent reason. The first was in Nov 2023 while driving on the interstate at about 70 mph. The AEB engaged, slamming the car to an almost stop, alarm blared for a moment and then the car continued operating with no apparent codes or warning lights. Today it did it again while traveling about 30 mph. I was slowing down to turn into a drive. I was still headed straight with no cars around and the AEB engaged, slamming the car to a full stop, with the alarm and the dash flashing something in red. The car then drove off fine with no warning lights or indicators on the dash. I cannot reproduce the AEB reponse. In response to the first occurrence, the dealer “flashed” the software last year. I intend to take it in tomorrow for the reoccurrence. I believe it to be a safety issue not only in that my back hurts terribly from the whiplash of a stop as sudden as hitting a wall, but because had there been a car behind me on either occasion, it is almost certain they would have had to make a dramatic and dangerous swerve to avoid it or rear ended me.

On 12/28/24 we dropped the vehicle off for a check engine light issue + the 95B recall fix. It was discharged on 12/31/24. On 1/9/25 the vehicle lost all power while flashing the red wrech lightning bolt symbol. I had to coast to a stop (I had been exiting the interstate) and had to drive into a pile of recently plowed snow to avoid being rear ended. The vehicle put on the parking brake and the engine had shut off. I turned on the engine after a few moments and it worked fine and I was able to drive it straight to the dealership (2 miles away.) They kept the vehicle for 2 days and could not get the issue to happen again, however they said they re-did the 95B recall and seemed confused about it having been done a few weeks prior. Today on 1/15/25 while driving on the interstate at about 65mph the issue happened again and I had to quickly pull off on the shoulder. The dealership told me to record the issue, but that's impossible while trying to steer it with zero power on the interstate. The same lights flashed (red wrench lightning bolt) and it shut down. Upon restarting it worked as expected. I do not feel safe driving it anymore. The dealership cannot find the issue and I don't want my kids in the vehicle on the off chance I cannot get over, or someone is driving offensivly around me. I am in fear of my life for driving this vehicle so much so that I am considering buying a different car today and letting this one sit until my lease is up. We noticed the "battery" indicator light was lit, so we changed the battery. That addressed the light, but soon it lit up again, followed by an overheated engine warning so we stopped and called for a tow to Puente Hills Jeep. We were informed it was a pulley so it was replaced along with the serpentine belt. Soon after receiving the vehicle, it started smoking, and it appeared it was catching fire so we had it towed to the dealer for the second time in one week. We've been informed it's the air conditioner compressor and it will be replaced. The concern is that we're dealing with this so soon after the basic warranty period has expired.

It has also disabled the paddle shifters, randomly turns the language on our display to Italian, randomly locks up the UConnect system into an Android Command prompt and causes numerous issues with the radio. The update has also caused the driver's lumbar support to randomly inflate while driving the car. I've searched on many Jeep forums and this appears to be a common issue. This has been ongoing since a few months after I received the vehicle. During shut down, the vehicle's power is completely unresponsive, I cannot use gas power to drive the car, it simply becomes unresponsive and non-operational. These shut downs have occurred while idling at traffic lights, while driving at low speeds on residential roads and, the past 4 experienced shut downs, on the highway. [XXX] ; [XXX] MA, [XXX], and [XXX]). These shut downs have occurred with my 7-year old in the car, causing a significant safety risk to everyone in the vehicle. The dealer has received several reports from me (which they will not document), and it has been in for repair on a minimum of 5 occasions. Each time, with one exception, the service team tells me "the codes are gone" and they can't do anything. On one occasion, the care shut down on [XXX] and I drove immediately to the dealership, whereby they reported the issued as related to the "MAP" and fixed. It is not. I bought a LS2 motorcycle Helmet in a local shop on 06/26/24 to be a passenger on a motorcycle ride. While removing the lining and installing a communication system I discovered the foam was cracked on the posterior area of the helmet. The edges of the polystyrene were uneven. The local shop has a NO return NO exchange policy for helmets. I returned the very next day and showed the findings to the salesperson. The helmet was broken, and I did not feel safe to use it. They took the helmet. On 07/20/24 I picked up a replacement helmet. Same brand. The salesperson stated that they contacted the manufacture company and the manufacture company concluded that I broke the helmet trying to forcefully remove the polystyrene foam, which I did not. I know the integrity of the helmet is what makes it safe. The salesperson handled me the replacement helmet and stated that she personally reviewed the helmet, and it was intact. I did not review the helmet at the shop with her before I left. After I left the shop, I checked the helmet and found the same crack on the posterior part of the foam. This time the crack does not compromise the edges of the polystyrene, like the crack on the first helmet. The safety of the helmet may not be compromised in terms of absorbing deceleration forces, but I do not feel safe to use it. I bought a different brand helmet online. The foam is not intact in 2 new helmets. I have the replacement helmet for inspection and photos of the first helmet. My safety would have been at risk if I did not remove the lining to install the communication system. I am concerned that it could be a problem in the manufacturing or shipping and handling of this product and maybe others will never know that they are using a defective product. The crack was exactly on the same area on both helmets. I sent a message to the US Distibution company.

There have now been at least three incidents where the accelerator is pressed and the vehicle does not respond for an extended period of time, then overreacts and launches the vehicle forward unpredictably. Most recently, leaving a parking lot, I pressed the accelerator gently as I normally would, the vehicle just rolled down to the road, no power. As oncoming traffic was coming (now about 5 seconds later), I pressed the pedal further, almost to the floor, the engine engaged and launched the car forward. This has happened in traffic circles, and produces a delay long enough for other drivers to sound their horn, as my vehicle refuses to move for at least 3-5 seconds. This has resulted in many close calls when oncoming traffic is coming and my vehicle will not move as it should - and this type of incident occurs unpredictably.

My front windshield has been replaced 2 times now due to significant cracks starting at the bottom seal of the windshield. These cracks sever cracking is an extreme safety hazard, leaving very poor visibility. I have also witnessed 2 other jeeps in my small town with identical horseshoe cracking that started in the identical place mine did, both were the same year, make and model jeep. Tire pressure monitoring system failure multiple times a week. I've taken it into the service department several times and they can't seem to find a fix. Every time I get the alarm on my car, I have to get out, check all the tires to make sure I can drive safely. My sister in law has the same car and they are getting these alarms too. Jeep needs to get a fix for this asap.

My car now has 2 open recalls associated with it (for a grand total of 5 overall) - and it only has 9,580 miles on it. The latest recall, 24V-132, does not have a remedy yet available. Jeep indicates the earliest they will be able to fix my car is April 8, 2024. I have told them numerous times I feel it is unsafe to drive. They are not giving me a loaner. They are not giving me a rental. I am stuck until "someone from the recall division calls" me back. Even though it's a rist of the wheels falling off, which can cause a wreck with no warning! Recall 24V-11 was enacted on 2/15/24. My defrost system doesn't work well ...

ON [XXX], at [XXX], i was driving the vehicle in electric Save mode, where the temperature was around -19 degree on that day and i was heading for car wash, During that time, the vehicle in front of me applied a break. i was at safe distance i applied the break as the distance was close Even the anti-breaking system did not work on hitting the vehicle at that time, and then it bumped three times. I was in shock at the vehicle's behavior and lost confidence in it. So the police office impounded the vehicle. to make the road safe. None of the air bags were deployed. I am having trouble picturing what would happen if this were on the freeway. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

It is easy, when driving in automatic mode, to accidently touch one of the paddle shifters. In doing so, the automatic transmission disengages, and the transmission suddenly switches to control by the paddle shifters. If the driver is unaware of this, the vehicle can lose motive power if the gear then in effect is no longer fitting for the vehicles speed and the engine's RPM. I recently took the vehicle in for service of this issue because my wife had experienced this while driving on Interstate 95, in Maryland. The vehicle stopped responding to the accelerator, so she pulled onto the shoulder, put the vehicle in park and turned it off. When she turned it back on, it was back in automatic mode, and she was able to resume driving. The technician and service manager advised that when this occurs, the vehicle can be returned to automatic mode by pulling the right paddle forward. That information does not appear in the vehicle manual, or on the Jeep website. The technician and service manager also advised that there is no way to disable the paddles to prevent the problem from repeating, Other drivers have experienced this. See [XXX] . I believe it is a serious safety problem. To that point, there is a pending safety recall -- NHTSA 23V- 412 (copy attached) -- that addresses loss of motive power for another reason. Here is the description in the recall notice: The transmission control module and the hybrid control processor on your vehicle [1] may experience loss of communication caused by diagnostic reactions to faults resulting in an engine shut down condition. Engine shut down may result in an unexpected loss of motive power while driving, which can cause a vehicle crash without prior warning. The sudden enabling of the paddle shifter and resulting loss of motive power is also a safety issue that needs prompt attention. Vehicle completely shut off while driving down highway. Completely lost steering response and breaking response. There was absolutely no way to control the Vehicle. My daughter and I both thought we were going to crash and die. We live in Alaska and it's winter time so the road conditions aren't the best. It took about 10 to 15 seconds and everything came back on and started working again. I drove my vehicle straight to the dealership I bought it from and have demanded a buyback process. I haven't had it a year and even the hybrid heating coolant system has had to be replaced twice.

While I was driving with my family on a highway, I deployed the drive assist function that controls the speed of the car and keeps car in lane, out of a sudden the car itself deployed a sudden quick brake without any immenant risk in fron of me ( there was no car in front of my car for at least more than half a mile) this caused a very close threat from being hit by the cars behind me amd all of my family members to be scared and worried and even my wife blamed me for slamming the brakes without any reason. I have scheduled an appointment with the dealer in the coming weeks to have it looked at and fix a recent recall as well as look into another weird noise/sounds that I was complaining to the dealer about in the past but was unable to fix or replicate

In Hybrid mode, the transition from gas to battery power is clunky. It surges forward unpredictably and takes a bit to respond when the pedal is pressed. This erratic forward surge has happened several times, including once while my child was drinking water – which spilled all over him. The brakes are hard to modulate and are never consistent. When driving in e-save there is an awful engine noise. I typically only try to drive the vehicle in electric mode, but that only lasts to a point. At higher speeds and/or further acceleration, the gas engine kicks on- loudly- and without warning. There is no consistency in when to anticipate this abrupt change in how the vehicle drives as it happens at different intervals (ranging from 0%-3% battery left). This vehicle drives erratically, and I do not trust myself or my children riding in it. On top of this, there have been at least three safety recalls on this in three months. Therefore, I do not drive this vehicle unless necessary. Thus, $60,000 is basically parked in my garage with minimal to no use. I have even recently updated my insurance to reflect that it is not in use.

Vehicle Speed Control1 queja

The issue only occurs when holding down a +/- button to move the speed control to a high/lower set-point greater than a one mph increment. When, after being held, the button is released at the desired new speed level, it continues to increase/decrease speed until the speed control is turned off, cancelled, or the brake is actuated. (The manual for this vehicle reinforces my understanding that releasing the held button, should stop the speed change and save a new speed level.) I have tested this, and it occurs every time and never stops accelerating until I turn off the speed control function. ( i have released this control at 35 mph and it continues to accelerate to greater than 90 mph and the new speed command is not recognized.) I can handle this now, but the first time it happened I froze temporarily and believe this issue to be very dangerous if it occurs with an unaware person at a critical time.

I was turning at a intersection, there was no car in-front only on the side , as I was turning , my jeep suddenly made an emergency beeping sound and break as if I was goin to crash into a car or something. Clearly I was just turning . The break was so hard I even thought I had gotten hit in the back or I had hit something in the front ! The car behind me had to stop and act fast as well otherwise I would have really been hit by him/her. I called my dealer since I had just bought my car 2weeks ago. I have a appt to get it look at , they told me it might be my sensor being dirty or something but I feel like this is a concern jeep should take care of. Or it will really cause an accident I don’t feel safe driving my jeep at all now! Especially doing turns or just thinking it might breaking when I am driving much faster next time. I’m taking my jeep to my dealer service dept. picture below are evidence of appts , and having to get a rental because of my report.
