Honda (America Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2023 Civic, Acura RDX, Acura Integra, and 2022 Honda Accord vehicles. A ball valve in the vehicle stability assist (VSA) modulator may leak brake fluid, which can result in unintended vehicle movement when the brake hold feature is engaged or an unexpected increase in brake pedal travel.

Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2023-2025 Acura Integra, Civic Type R, CR-V Hybrid, CR-V, HR-V, 2022-2025 Civic, Civic Hatchback, 2024-2025 Acura Integra Type S, 2025 CR-V Fuel Cell EV, Civic Hybrid, and Civic Hatchback Hybrid vehicles. The steering gearbox assembly may have been manufactured incorrectly, which can cause excessive internal friction and lead to difficulty steering the vehicle.

The sticky steering issue has returned even after the initial recall repair. Instead of replacing the entire steering rack, they only applied a temporary fix with grease the first time. The steering wheel stickiness comes and goes, which makes it even more frustrating and unpredictable. At times, the steering wheel even locks up during turns at speeds of 45+ mph, especially on highways and ramps, which is extremely concerning and unsafe. I brought the car back to the dealership, but they were unable to replicate the issue, so no repairs were made leaving me stuck without a solution. I’ve continued driving like this, and now at nearly 65,000 miles, the problem is worse than ever. Overall, this has been a completely horrible experience. Looking back, I wish I had done more research before buying this car. Save yourself the headache.

The Intermittent sticky steering wheel is back once again! So what was the whole-point of getting it fixed the first time under the recall when it’s going to happen again later on along the line. Now the car is approaching 50k and back to the dealer we go to see if they can replicate the problem to get it fix under the warranty. The contact owns a 2023 Acura Integra. The contact stated while driving at 55 MPH, the steering wheel seized, and the brake pedal was depressed to stop the vehicle. The vehicle was turned off and restarted and the steering failure message was displayed; however, the power steering functionality had not returned. The vehicle was driven to a local dealer to be diagnosed. The dealer had confirmed that the steering wheel had seized. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that there was no recall on the VIN for the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 53,000.

I recently purchased a this vehicle approximately two weeks ago and have since noticed a recurring problem with the steering. Specifically, the steering feels like it "sticks" when driving on a straightaway, making it difficult to maintain a smooth, consistent path. This vehicle was sold 4.10 with an issue commonly referred to as sticky steering. A bulletin went out July 2023 (23-037) directing dealers to replace the electronic power steering gearbox with a new one. Sticky steering occurs at most speeds. The steering has what I can best describe as pixelated movements rather than smooth. When you are trying to maintain control while driving straight or turn the wheel slightly it seems to jump to the next notch instead of slide smoothly. This often results in slight overcorrection and is very scary at higher speeds or in thicker traffic. You have to fight the steering wheel to maintain control. This condition is extremely dangerous and causes the car to pull to either side with diminished control of the steering.

Since I purchased the Integra over a year ago, I’ve routinely experienced a sticky/jerky steering issue. When driving, the steering wheel will jerk to the left or right continuously and feel stuck in position and difficult to correct. Not only do I have to consistently “fight” the steering wheel to keep the car aligned, I have had the vehicle veer into another lane and swerve towards cars in the neighboring lane due to the jerking motion. Overall, this creates a difficult driving experience - my focus is consumed by the steering, I feel I have limited control of the vehicle, and an overwhelming sense of being uneasy/unsafe when the issue is prevalent. Passengers feel it too. This is most notable when highway driving or going above ~45/50 mph and, oddly, seems to be more prominent in certain weather, particularly during warm, but not hot, days (60-80 degrees). No warning signs or vehicle setting notices display. Issue persists regardless of altering vehicle modes and settings. I have reported this to the Acura dealership twice. The first was early on and I had no reference of others with this experience. The second time, I expressed there are numerous reports of this online. They noted it, stated everything appeared normal, and that they drove the vehicle and couldn’t recreate it, but my Acura app trip history did not reflect this. The concern was dismissed. This is my 3rd Acura sedan - I’ve had an incredible experience with Acura, my dealership, and previous vehicles. I commonly recommend them to friends/family. That said, it takes a lot for me to feel strongly enough to report an issue/negative review, but this driving experience is simply unacceptable and potentially dangerous.

While driving down [XXX] , the steering felt stiff and almost like it stuck into a certain position. It required far more force than normal to move the steering wheel from its position which almost caused me to change lanes to the right without wanting to. This is not the first time this has happened, but it was a particularly dangerous instance since the steering wheel stuck several degrees to the left of center which would have directed to into the center divide. I took the car to the dealership in March 2024 to discuss the issue and they acknowledged that two other integras had come into the dealership for a similar problem. Not having absolute control of the vehicle is extremely dangerous and the steering sticking into a certain position without Lane Keep Assist influencing the steering is a design flaw and puts drivers at risk. The contact owns a 2023 Acura Integra. The contact stated that while driving on a ramp at approximately 30-35 MPH, while turning to the right, the steering wheel continued turning a complete 360 degrees, causing the contact to lose control of the vehicle and crash into a nearby wall. The air bags did not deploy. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where the cause of the failure was not determined. The vehicle received structural body repairs and the worm gear spring was replaced. The contact learned that the VIN was included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V744000 (Steering) after the repair. The contact mentioned that the vehicle prior to the crash experienced a sticky steering wheel. There were no injuries sustained and no medical attention was needed. A Police report was filed. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 16,700.

The steering sticks when the vehicle has been traveling straight for a period of time (time varies, as does speed). The stuck steering requires additional force on the wheel to steer the vehicle, which results in an over correction. It's getting worse and occurring at all speeds, started at only highway speeds. No warning lights, etc. Problem was confirmed by the dealer 3/29/2024. I was told by the dealer that Acura is no longer authorizing replacement of the steering rack under warranty. It has resulted in sudden movements after “breaking” the steering wheel free from its “stuck” position in the middle. However this has been an ongoing problem for the last several thousand miles and is definitely getting worse as the miles go by. The steering will get tight at speeds above 40 mph. The steering tightens up and almost feels like it's a ratchet/gear that catches constantly, it is not a smooth turn how it should be. It is manageable at lower speeds, however on the highway it is very worrisome. The steering is even tighter at highway speeds and gets stuck in position and is hard to turn correctly. I often find myself over correcting trying to get the wheel unstuck from its position, causing me to swerve on the road.

This typically happens on cooler mornings after the car has had a chance to warm up and no significant curves exist in the road or turns are required. I am able to overcome the resistance from the steering wheel to maintain my lane with two hands but have come close to over-correcting while driving with one hand (the other was on the shifter) and almost went into the occupied lane next to me. The effort to overcome the resistance from the steering is fairly consistent. No warning lights have appeared when I started having this issue with the steering. The problem appeared when I reached 2500 miles on the odometer. I have not had the vehicle examined by the Acura dealership but plan to very soon. No other official in law enforcement or insurance has looked at the vehicle either

We brought my son's car in earlier in the year for an issue it was having with its steering ( the steering sticks/locks when attempting to turn the steering wheel left ). The dealer acknowledged the issue and stated that the steering box needs to be replaced. The dealer sent us home with the car saying it was 'safe to drive' and they would call us when part was received. We insisted, however, for the dealer to provide a loaner since we felt any acknowledged issue with the steering is not safe. We have recently been informed from the dealer that the part needed to address the problem is on backorder with no anticipated delivery date and that the next available update will be in August. (BTW - We also have the same problem with the stereo amp, which is on backorder with no anticipated delivery date). I have a couple major problems with this 1) my son's brand new car is sitting in the FL sun/heat getting damaged waiting for an indefinite period of time; 2) my son cannot drive the loaner, 3) and we are being asked to wait several months for an update on part availability for a new car. These are all completely unreasonable situations. I see 1 of 2 options: Honda/Acura - Needs to work with the dealer to figure out how to give my son (17) a car to drive while they wait on replacement parts. I also want permission to bring my son's car home and have it garaged until part is received and repair is scheduled. OR Honda/Acura - Needs to give us a new car (and take back my son's car back) as part of lemon law. It is completely unreasonable for a new car to have such major safety issues and furthermore have the manufacturer and dealer say we have to wait months for an update on part availability. We also have a loaner that my son cannot drive. I would like a response to this situation ASAP before I seek legal action.

My car for the last week has been getting the infamous "sticky" steering when doing highway speeds. It does lead to overcorrection which could be me and other motorist in danger or in harms way. I am having a sticky steering wheel issue and is available for inspection upon request. While driving I have lost temporary control overcorrecting the sticky steering while pulling into traffic and keeping the vehicle in the lane in heavy traffic. It creates an not predictable driving experience and feel extremely unsafe. I notice the steering wheel favors pulling left like its alignment is constantly off to the left. I have taken it to the dealer when it first started happening and we could not repo it then. It is happening more frequently and I will be scheduling a follow up appointment. TThe problem occurs while driving at freeway speeds. When adjusting the wheel slightly to the right, from off center, the wheel sticks a bit. It's as if it's stuck in a notch. This first occurred when the car was a little over a year old with around 8000 miles on it. We took the car to CardinaleWay Acura in Las Vegas on [XXX]. They confirmed that it is a known issue. They told us that Acura did not have a solution at this time, and they would notify us when they do. We have yet to hear back. This is not occurring due to lane departure or other adas system error as they are not engaged. This issue is very similar (same as) to the issue described in NHTSA Investigation EA23003 (Momentary Increased Steering Effort). The issue occurs at highway speeds after the vehicle warms up. While driving straight there is a slight resistance to a steering change that results in an overcorrection to steering that then will need to be followed by another correction in the opposite direction to keep vehicle tracking straight. The magnitude of corrections in themselves don't force the vehicle out of the lane but are a major driving distraction that removes focus from critical driving activities like monitoring traffic & road conditions. Effectively, this issue prevents optimal vehicle steering position without constant small steering adjustments.

After approximately 15 minutes of driving at highway speeds, the steering wheel felt "sticky." Making small, lane keeping adjustment suddenly took much more effort and felt very notchy and jerky. When turning, the steering wheel did not return to center as normal, but had to forcibly returned to a center position. It was uncomfortable and felt unsafe, like it would be difficult to fully control the vehicle, especially in the event of an emergency. It made the small, normal adjustments of driving much, much more difficult. I made an appointment with the dealer of the car and was told that their was a failure in the steering rack/power steering system that caused the symptoms. I was told parts would take 5 months to arrive. There was no warning light, audio signal, or any other indication that the failure was about to occur. The issue disappears under 40 miles an hour, but reappears immediately once highway speeds are achieved. Once turned off and rested for several minutes the car will steer normally until the same 10-15 minute period of highway speeds.

The steering is malfunctioning and is available for inspection. The steering wheel is stiff and sticky at high speeds and when driving in a straight line. Before this began, I could move my steering wheel very smoothly to adjust for minor positional changes within my lane. Now, the steering wheel freezes in place, so a very slight left or right position has be veering towards one side. I have to apply noticeably more force to dislodge the steering wheel from its stuck position to correct the car's trajectory. My safety and the safety of others is at risk. I have not taken the car to the dealership, however, the problem has been reported numerous times on online forums and confirmed by other dealerships. The vehicle has not been inspected by anyone since the car's last oil change 3 months ago. There were no warning signs, messages or symptoms of the problem before it appeared.

Steering is notchy or sticks requiring extra effort to turn the steering wheel to make even the slightest correction. I purchased the car with 9,275 miles on it and the problem manifested itself from the start of ownership. Deactivating the LKAS has no effect on the problem. - Steering/vehicle is available for inspection -I've been able to overcome the steering resistance but there is potential for an accident to occur -I have not had the problem confirmed by a dealer but will do so at the next service appt. -At the time of purchase, the vehicle did pass State inspection and dealer inspection, but no issues were reported -There are no alerts or warning lights associated with this issue.

The vehicle's steering has a "sticky" sensation requiring increased input to allow the vehicle to turn. The issue started two months ago (January 2024) when the car had approximately 9,000 miles on the odometer. The issue began as intermittent, but is now continuous in all driving conditions. There are no warning lamps, messages or other symptoms. This issue has not yet been inspected by the manufacturer, police or insurance. My vehicle's problem has not yet been reported to the manufacturer, although there are several complaints available online from those experiencing the same problem with this vehicle. There is currently no recall to correct this issue, allegedly created by a manufacturing defect in the steering box.

The steering wheel seems to perform inconsistently when turning. While making a turn there is a momentary increase in steering resistance. Therefore more than usual force is required to steer during the momentary increase. This increase in steering resistance is short lived but happens regularly. Inconsistent steering resistance is a safety risk because it can cause the car to turn unpredictably and go off the road. The risk will be greater when the roads are wet or slippery. The problem has not been reported to the dealer but will be reported soon. There were no warning messages.

The vehicle is starting to have an issue related to steering while the driver is making small lane adjustments during normal driving. The problem is noted while the vehicle is being driven on mostly straight portions of road, but we're also noticing it in curves. While making minor adjustments to stay within the center of the lane, the steering wheel "sticks," preventing the driver from making an adjustment. As the vehicle drifts more towards the inside or outside edge of the lane, the driver needs to make a more forceful adjustment. At this point, the steering wheel "pops" loose and normal steering resumes for several seconds. The problem persists for the entire trip. Once the steering wheel "pops" loose, the driver tends to overcorrect because of the force needed to adjust the stuck steering wheel. The problem began in mid-December 2023. The vehicle had about 24,000 miles on it when the problem was first noticed. The problem is noted when the vehicle is travelling faster than 35-40 mph.

My car, with less than 18,000 miles on it has begun to have steering which sticks as the car is driven straight. In order to make a correction to the right of left it is necessary to jerk the wheel in that direction to unstick the steering. The steering is malfunctioning. When driving at medium to high-speed, the steering wheel feels somewhat sticky. This is most noticeable when on a straight stretch, or on a slow curve. When the car was new, the steering was responsive to subtle inputs. Now, the wheel seems stuck, and it requires an unexpected amount of Torque to overcome the stickiness. This has not caused an accident, but causes a maddening amount of wobbling around within my lane, especially on a road trip. My safety is put at risk because subtle adjustments while driving, often require a second stronger effort. For example, while driving today, I had to dodge some road debris. My initial input to the wheel did not produce a change in direction and so I had to exert a larger input - this reduces the predictability of the steering response. I brought it to the dealer, but they were unable to validate my concern. I plan to bring it to my local mechanic as I have to drive 200 miles to get to an Acura dealer. There are no warning lights. It is unrelated to the lane departure system. I think it started at about 10,000 miles, but the car now has 17,000 miles. I am having issues with the steering 'feel' of my car. I live in Minnesota, and since October, I've noticed the steering feels 'stuck' on center when driving on the highway at speeds of 65mph and over. The wheel takes extra force to move off center, then feels jerky and steers too quickly when moving off center. I mention that I live in a cold state and only noticed the issues when the temperature dropped and think it's worse on cold days. At speeds above 60mph, the steering feels loose and it is hard to keep the car centered in a lane - it always feels like you're driving on a windy day. The problem is much worse at speeds exceeding 70 mph. It seems like the effort required to turn the wheel at speed is variable and always changing. I've also started to notice the wheel will 'fall' off center and jolt slightly to the right or left when sitting at a stop light. I took my car to an Acura dealer on December 4 and expressed my concerns. I thought I had a tire or alignment issue and googled 'Integra sticky steering' on a whim and found that there may be a widespread problem with Honda Civics and Acura Integras, which are mechanically identical. The dealer said they've never heard of any issues. They drove my car with me and said it felt fine. I asked them to get it up to 70 mph but they stayed below 60 mph. The weather that day was above freezing, and I didn't notice the steering feel issues I've observed on colder days. The service advisor said Acura had no technical service bulletins about the issue, and said they called the tech line who claimed they've only had one issue with an Integra somewhere on the east coast. I think Acura is downplaying this problem. I'm worried about the safety of my car.

It has 12k miles and it has only started doing this the last 3-4 weeks. This car is only driven on the highway 55-70mph. They took it out for a test drive in the city 35-45, so of course they were unable to repeat it and sent me on my way, without inspecting anything else. The issue I experienced is with the steering. Intermittently, the steering will 'freeze' or stick and requires MUCH more force to turn than normal. When making minor corrections the steering wheel will lock and require extra steering pressure to overcome stiction in the system, at which point it jumps a bit past the intended position. On 1/19/24 I took my 2023 Acura Integra in for an oil change at an Acura dealership. I notified the service desk staff member that for the past couple months I have been experiencing a sticky/notchy steering issue. I also mentioned that this issue has been reported frequently online with the other 2023 integras and other Hondas around the same year. Fortunately, I was able to accompany the service manager while he performed a quick test drive and he confirmed the issue at speeds of approximately 30mph. That day the dealership contacted Acura and determined that my steered rack needed to be replaced, however they would need to order a new steering rack. After over a month of waiting for the new part, there is no ETA when the dealership will receive the new steering rack. The dealership found that there were no logged errors. This issue still persists daily and makes it difficult to maintain the center of the lane when driving at speeds higher than 30mph. My car currently has approximately 13,000 miles and was purchased in October 2022.

I have a 2023 Integra A-Spec 6MT with about 7500 miles. I've been experiencing a "sticky" steering problem over the last 3-4 weeks. I mainly notice it while driving in the 45-55 MPH range on a straight newly-repaved state highway near my home in Wake Forest, NC. I've tried disabling the power steering and LKA options, and switched between Sport, Normal, and Comfort modes. In all cases, as I'm driving straight and try to make a small steering adjustment, I feel a gap and then a bump on the steering. I need to make an extra push on the steering wheel beyond the bump to make the turn or adjustment. When I got home yesterday, I actually noticed a similar "gap" when I turned the wheel at full stop in my driveway. This problem occurs regularly after 10-15 minutes of driving. Once it starts, it remains even at lower speeds.

On Friday October 6, 2023 I was driving home from Goodson Acura of Dallas. I had brought my car here for service for a different issue. I noticed that on the highway the car's steering felt heavier than normal. I drove a bit more, and the steering seem to get "stuck" while the wheel was on center. The lane assistance option was turned off, even when turning the wheel slightly the car steering sort of got stuck in that point until I had to exert additional energy to turn it back to the position that I wanted. For five days I was driving a loaner 2023 Acura TLX while my Integra was being serviced for two separate issues. That vehicle did not exhibit any of the sticky steering behavior that I noticed on the Integra. This leads me to believe there is some type of defect in the part in the software, controlling the part potentially. Overall, I am not very confident in my car safety right now owning it for slightly under one year. Have not yet informed my Acura dealership and I'm a bit frustrated since they literally had my car from Monday when I dropped it off in the evening until Friday in the evening when I went to go pick it up. Upon further inspection it has been brought to my attention this is a known issue on certain Honda products, namely, the civic. The Integra the vehicle is based on the civic and shares many of the same components. I was hoping that by now there would be a permanent fix in place. Replacing a steering rack on a vehicle with less than 8000 miles seems extreme. I've been thinking about trading this car in, but it's likely that the new owner will run into the same issue, not to mention taking a financial hit from selling a one year old vehicle versus when I bought it new. I'm hoping the issue goes away on its own but I'm not feeling super confident right now.

An issue with the electric power steering rack causes the steering to feel “sticky” or “notchy” when making small steering adjustments above 35 MPH, such as staying in the lane on the highway. The wheel tends to feel stuck at a certain position momentarily and requires additional force to “break loose”, then the power steering assist kicks back in and causes excessive steering input and swerving. Making small adjustments precisely is very difficult, and it severity increases could cause loss of control or unintentional swerving into other lanes. Dealer confirmed upon inspection that it was the same issue with the electric power steering rack that is currently under investigation by the NHTSA in the Integra’s sister car, the Honda Civic. The vehicles share a modular chassis platform. The Integra specifically shares a drivetrain and suspension components with the Civic Si. No warning lights or malfunctions are indicated in-vehicle. Knowing this led me to believe my vehicle was having this issue, which the dealership confirmed. Their tech believes the vehicle safe to drive, and I was denied a service loaner due to “not purchasing the vehicle at that dealer”. There is no ETA for arrival of replacement parts to the dealer. I was told the Honda equivalents were in stock, leading me to believe Honda/Acura and the dealership are aware of the malfunction or faulty design.

In December 2024, I brought my 2023 Acura Integra to the local Acura dealership to address a recall related to a steering gear manufacturing defect, as well as to perform an oil change. The service department at Acura efficiently completed the work on my vehicle in one hour. On December 24, 2024, while operating the vehicle, the dashboard lights illuminated, and the steering wheel abruptly veered to the left, leading to a collision with large stationary rocks (boulders) alongside the road. The vehicle was required to be towed to a collision repair facility. The insurance claim has been submitted, and a police report has been filed. The collision shop performed a thorough inspection of the damage, and their analysis indicated that the cause of the accident is related to the steering system. The Acura Dealership has been informed of this information, and a claim has been submitted to Honda/Acura Manufacturer. No one from Acura has yet to send some one to inspect or investigate this matter.

The steering wheel seems to stick while trying to make adjustments and when it unsticks it jerks the car around. At first it was only at higher speeds and wasn’t as bad, but after a while it’s happening at low speeds. It sticks during curves which makes it really dangerous. There is an audible clumping sound now whenever making slight adjustments and turns. The sound is also heard when turning the steering wheel at a complete stop. It’s been happening since November. I avoid freeways now because of how dangerous it can be. The adapted lane keep assist also struggles with steering the car because of this.

When driving the vehicle over 40 mph's the car will not allow for you to readjust the lane alignment without having to jerk on the wheel. When making a turn on an exit ramp the wheel will "stick" into place instead of naturally moving with the turn. This causes you to jerk your wheel in turns and potentially lose control of the car.

Previously reported car for “Sticky Steering” before ODI Resume and Investigation was launched. Car was at dealership for a few days short of one month. The gearbox was replaced. Since receiving car back, the steering wheel is off center visually and when driving. To continue driving in a straight direction constant pressure has to be applied to center the car to the right. The Lane Keep Assistance will not operate at highway speeds without swerving. Prior to the repair and before the notch steering developed at 9300 miles, the Lane Keep was very smooth and reliable, now it is a safety hazard. Acura stated that this is within normal operating modes. They cannot duplicate Service manager stated that he has customers who would love for their car to drive like this one. The tires are showing signs of wear from pulling. An independent mechanic drove the vehicle and stated that the rack and pinion was most likely installed incorrect with teeth not aligning. No fix but to replace again. Car currently has 12200 miles and has been in service since 4/23.

Within the last two weeks I have noticed that when I reach cruising speeds of above 45-50mph my steering wheel will lock up when going in a straight line. The steering wheel on all driving modes (sport, comfort, normal and individual) is stiff and sticky randomly at all speeds and both on regular city streets and highways/freeways. 1. On multiple occasions, the adaptive cruise control has slammed the brakes at freeway speeds with no vehicles in front or next to me. The dashboard display showing vehicles in proximity indicated no new vehicles were sensed during these incidents (meaning the automatic braking was randomly triggered with no visual or audible warning). On one occasion at night, I was in the left lane of the freeway at going 75mph when this system slammed the brakes, slowing me to almost 40mph, causing the car behind me to have to swerve into the left shoulder to avoid rear-ending me. 2. The lane-keeping assistance will randomly start steering the car towards the edge of the lane. Sometimes it will actually steer the car over the lane markers, triggering the lane-departure warning, which proceeds to fight the lane-keep assist’s steering to keep the car in the lane. This will even occur after having steered the car correctly in the middle of the lane for some time. This poses a risk when the current lane is adjacent to a highway median, when there is a car in the lane next to me, or when there is no shoulder on a highway. I have had the ADAS systems on my 2023 Acura Integra recalibrated twice in the last 4 months and neither issue has improved. This is a major safety issue with Acura’s ADAS system which I have not experienced while driving multiple cars of other brands with the same feature set.

I’ve seen multiple videos and posts online from other Acura owners experiencing the exact same issue, which suggests this may be a widespread electrical or audio system defect. All fuses and battery checks came back fine. This may indicate a deeper issue with the car’s electrical system or amplifier that’s not being properly addressed by the manufacturer. Active but slow leak of oil coming from the front of the valve cover of the motor. The leak is leaking from the top down the block and eventually gets burned off or leaks onto the engine mount. The vehicle will be taken to the dealership for this issue and hope to get it looked at soon as the car has 27000 miles. From my understanding from the forums this is a common issue on this motor which needs new new valve cover gaskets to resolve the issue.

The brakes squeak and squeal loudly when the car is cold and reversing. I took it to the acura dealership that I bought it from to get it looked at. They were able to reproduce the sound and said the sound was coming from the vsa (vehicle stability assist) . They compared it to a "known good vehicle" and said it made the same noise. Essentially the dealer said all cars of similar make and model have this issue and make this noise so no repairs were done or necessary. See attached document

While driving a 2023 Acura Integra with a manual transmission, and when performing a three-point turn on a residential street with a 25 MPH speed limit, I noticed the manual gearbox shifter was very stiff and difficult to shift the vehicle into a gear, despite having the clutch pedal pressed completely down. No warning lights, messages or other alerts were displayed on the dashboard. No other vehicle symptoms were noted prior to this incident. This incident posed a potential safety risk, as the vehicle was stuck in the middle of the road in direct line of traffic and needed to be pushed out of the road to avoid potential collision with other moving vehicles. The vehicle was inspected by both a dealership and the manufacturer, who both stated based on a computer scan of the vehicle, which revealed Engine Code P0219 Engine Over-Speed Condition, caused physical damage to the transmission as a result of an improper downshift. Details indicated the car was allegedly downshifted improperly at a speed of 67 MPH with an RPM of 5,551. I am unsure how this issue could have happened, as I have never abused the transmission, and have always driven the car in a responsible manner in which it is intended to be driven. The vehicle has always been serviced by an Acura dealership and have never had any prior issues. The vehicle is also still new and under warranty, however I was told they will not be covering this incident under warranty as they claim there was alleged physical damage. Neither the dealership nor the manufacturer could provide me with a time stamp or other data to substantiate their claim of physical damage, so I am unable to isolate the alleged incident to a specific date or time of occurrence. I do not see any open recalls relating to the transmission or gearbox, however I do see one open recall (VJV 2023-25) which says the steering gearbox worm wheel may have been manufactured incorrectly, which can cause the wheel to swell when hot or damp. Please investigate.

There is a squeaky sound from where the seatbelt anchors to the car in the driver’s seat. It mainly sounds like the right side, however, it can be heard when leaning to the left(away from the shift nob). You have to have the seatbelt on while driving, to hear the sound. I’ve taken the vehicle 4 times and thought it was the seat, however, I still hear the sound and only hear it while driving with the seatbelt on. The steering wheel is also starting to slightly stick. I have to apply force to turn and nothing will happen, then it will move in cm increments, not smoothly as it did prior to 10,000 miles.

It happens mostly when I make a long left turn and return the wheel to its straight "12" position. I get a sticking/stuck/notch feeling through the wheel, which feels like the rack is sticking. The steering malfunctions consistently while driving and occasionally while parked. The wheel forces itself to jerk back and forth every few seconds and sticks as it does so causing the driver to fight the opposite direction. When parked the wheel still does the same thing after driving. In addition to this issue, the engine auto start/stop feature has to be disabled every drive because when stopped, the engine does not fully restart causing the car to false start and stop again, therefore potentially causing an accident when entering moving traffic.
