Recalls Reported to NHTSA

The following recalls were reported to NHTSA. A recall does not by itself establish that any individual vehicle is defective.

FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:DELIVERY:FUEL PUMP

NHTSA #21V587000

Subaru of America, Inc. (Subaru) is recalling certain 2019-2020 Ascent, 2018 Forester, 2018-2020 Impreza, Legacy, Outback, 2018-2019 BRZ, WRX, and Toyota 86 vehicles. The low-pressure fuel pump inside the fuel tank may fail.

Reported consequence: Fuel pump failure can cause an engine stall while driving, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will replace the low-pressure fuel pump, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 24, 2021. Subaru and Toyota owners may call customer service at 1-844-373-6614. Subaru's number for this recall is WRG-21.

Complaints Filed with NHTSA

The following are consumer-reported complaints filed with NHTSA. These are unverified allegations and are not proof that any defect exists.

Visibility/Wiper49 complaints

For the second year in a row my windshield has cracked. Nothing hit it, or happened to make it crack. Both cracks were long and coming from the bottom of the windshield under the passenger wiper blade. I noticed it today, 4/28/26 and the same thing happened in the beginning of April last year with the same circumstances (or lack thereof).

NHTSA #11734220

While car was parked. Front windshield developed crack in the lower mid section of windshield. There was no damage to windshield that would have resulted in cracking. Crack has since spread.

NHTSA #11605501

Windshield breaks (cracks) very easily. I have owned/driven cars for 45 years, during the first 41 years I have only had to replace one (1) windshield. Since I have owned this vehicle (Subaru), I am now onto windshield number five (5). Are they making these windows with inferior materials or thinner? I hate to think that an inferior window will not hold up or perform as designed in a major accident, possibly causing greater injury or death.

Over the course of 3 days, my vehicle has sustained 4 chips in the windshield from standard city street driving. The windshield now needs to be replaced from excessive cracks.

NHTSA #11552065

Was sitting in car preparing to leave. Car was in park and turned on. Heard a loud popping/creaking noise. Looked up and the front windshield cracked in several places.

NHTSA #11519211

I was stopped at a stop light. Traffic was basically at a stand still while the lights were changing. During this time my windshield spontaneously cracked on the lower center section of the glass. It cracked for seemingly no reason at all. Since traffic was stopped there's no way it could have been caused by a rock or flying debris. No weather (such as hail) was occurring at the time.

NHTSA #11509999

My car was parked outside on the street and when I went to drive it the next morning the windshield had a foot long crack in it. There is no obvious point of collision--it looks like it just split. I will need to replace the windshield for around $1300 since the crack is so large.

NHTSA #11472642

A large Crack appeared and the bottom middle of the windshield and cracked upwards to the lower middle windshield and cracked both to the left and right side.

NHTSA #11466862

Vehicle was parked in sunlight for approximately 4 hours on a private driveway. Came back and there was a 12+ inch crack in the windshield. No evidence of rock chips. Glass will not be able to be inspected because it needed to be replaced.

NHTSA #11464729

I was driving at approximately 5 mph, on a road with several steep speed bumps, with no cars around and no overhanging trees, and suddenly a 24-inch hairline crack popped across the driver's side of my windshield. There's no evidence of any impact at all on the windshield--the crack is entirely in between the laminate. Entire windshield now needs to be replaced and I assume the EyeSight recalibrated.

NHTSA #11464786

Chipped windshield, crack started to spread inside the windshield

NHTSA #11464107

The contact owns a 2020 SUBARU IMPREZA. The contact stated that after warming up the after driving approximately 1/10 th of a mile at approximately 10 mph or less when the vehicle's windshield suddenly fractured under the seal rubber in the lower center of the vehicle. in the lower then suddenly migrated to the left and to the right of the windshield in different directions. The contact contacted the dealer however they had not inspected the vehicle in person as of yet. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The approximate failure mileage was 41,000.

NHTSA #11444436

The windshield cracked without any reason, at the top by the passenger side. The initial crack was approximately a foot and it has since grown and is moving horizontally across the windshield. It is available for inspection. This happened while the car was parked.

NHTSA #11445141

Windshield cracked for no apparent reason

NHTSA #11434108

The windshield spontaneously cracked. The car has 3600 miles on it, has never been driven on a highway, and resides in a garage

NHTSA #11431729

When driving on freeways, twice in the last 6 months, the windshield was struck by a small piece of gravel and cracked immediately. The first time there was an impact indent and a 6 inch crack, the second time there was a star shaped indent and an 11 inch crack. The windshield does not seem strong enough to deal with small gravel impacts. In both cases the crack spread overnight as the car heated and cooled. Both times I had the windshield replaced by a USAA-certified glass replacement shop and recalibrated by Subaru.

NHTSA #11425494

I was informed that the windshields in certain models are spontaneously cracking two inches from the bottom of the windshield - a tiny rock caused a 14 inch crack which is unheard of. Clearly, the windshield is terrible and Subaru doesn’t want to take responsibility for their faulty windshields. When I check Google, I am not the only one.

NHTSA #11420804

Spontaneous windshield large crack while parked at worksite parking place on 06/07/2021. My safety was put at risk because I had to drive back home not knowing if the windshield would explode. I called the dealer (Herb Gordon Subaru in Silver Spring Maryland)right away (around 5:30 pm) and they gave me an appointment for repair with an $800 estimate. They did not inform me of Subaru issued with windshields. This is a recently purchased pre-owned Certified vehicle on 3/22/2020. Called the insurance company and advised me to go in person talk to the dealership which I will today 6/8/2021. No warnings nor I noticed any thing hitting the windshield.

NHTSA #11420067

I GOT TO WORK AT 6AM AND THERE WAS NOTHING, GOT OUT AT 6PM AND SAW A BIG CRACK IN THE WINDSHIELD ON THE PASSENGER SIDE.

NHTSA #11414725

WAS DRIVING TO WORK AND MY WINDOW STARTED TO FOG SO I TURNED ON MY DEFROSTER AND MY WINDOW STARTED TO FORM A CRACK FROM THE BOTTOM OF THE WINDOW AND WORKED ITS WAY UP ABOUT 10 INCHES AND THEN FORMED A T ABOUT 6 INCHES ON EACH SIDE AT THE TOP

NHTSA #11403821

HAD TO REPLACE THE OEM WINDSHIELD AGAIN DUE TO SMALL ROCK MAKING THE WINDSHIELD CRACK THE WHOLE SCREEN. THE SCREEN IS NOT UP TO STANDARDS AND HAS TO BE REPLACED ALOT! IT'S TO WEEK.

NHTSA #11405493

MY WINDSHIELD CRACKED SEEMINGLY OVER NOTHING AND I REPLACED IT FOR $800 AND NOW IT HAS CRACKED AGAIN A WEEK AFTER SEEMINGLY OVER NOTHING

NHTSA #11400374

VEHICLE IS LESS THAN ONE YEAR OLD WITH NO DAMAGE BUT A LARGE CRACK HAS BEGUN SPREADING DOWN THE WINDSHIELD FROM THE TOP EDGE IN THE LAST WEEK. THERE IS NO EVIDENCE OF A ROCK STRIKE OR OTHER DAMAGE TO CAUSE THIS. IT APPEARS TO BE A DEFECT IN THE WINDSHIELD ITSELF.

NHTSA #11398082

AFTER REPLACING A BRAND NEW OEM WINDSHIELD FROM THE FIRST TIME ONE MONTH LATER I HAD TWO SMALL ROCKS HIT MY WINDSHIELD AND CRACKED IT I AM FORCED TO REPLACE IT FOR A SECOND TIME. THIS IS VERY UNACCEPTABLE.

NHTSA #11390034

WHILE SITTING IN A PARKING SPOT GETTING READY TO GO INTO A STORE, THE WINDSHIELD SUDDENLY CRACKED. IT LOOKS LIKE IT CRACKED AT THE BOTTOM AND WENT UP ABOUT 12 TO 15 INCHES.

NHTSA #11389158

TODAY, 12/14/2020 AT 430AM I STARTED MY CAR LIKE NORMAL. CURRENTLY TEMPS BELOW 30 OVER NIGHT. VEHICLE HAS A REMOTE START SYSTEM. LET THE VEHICLE WARM UP, WENT OUTSIDE AND GOT IN THE VEHICLE. NOTICED A 12 INCH CRACK ON THE LOWER PASSENGER SIDE, GOING TOWARDS THE MIDDLE. WASN'T THERE THE DAY BEFORE WHEN I PARKED IT. I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE BRAND NEW IN EARLY SEPTEMBER, ONLY 4 MONTHS OLD. I'VE CHECKED ONLINE AND HAVE SEEN HUNDREDS OF OTHERS WITH THE SAME ISSUE, AND EVEN A LAWSUIT BEING FILED AGAINST SUBARU. CONTACTED MY SUBARU DEALER WHERE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE, THEY TOLD ME IT'S NOT COVERED UNDER WARRENTY, BUT WILL CONTACT SUBARU. WITH HUNDREDS OF OTHERS WITH THE SAME COMPLAINT AND SAFETY ISSUE. SEEMS AS THOUGH A RECALL SHOULD BE DONE ON THIS. ESPECIALLY SINCE THE EYESIGHT SAFETY SYSTEM HAS TO BE RECALIBRATED IF THE WINDSHIELD HAS TO BE REPLACED AND THAT SERVICE ALONE IS $1000. OTHERS IN FORUMS/ONLINE HAVE STATED THEY'VE BEEN THROUGH MULTIPLE WINDSHIELDS. SAME ISSUE, WHERE THEY'LL WAKE UP THE NEXT DAY TO A CRACK ACROSS IT.

NHTSA #11383461

THE WINDSHIELD ON MY 2020 SUBARU IMPREZA CRACKED BY ITSELF. THERE WAS NO DAMAGE SUSTAINED TO THE WINDSHIELD. NO MARKS FROM ANYTHING HITTING THE WINDSHIELD. IT CRACKED SIMPLY WHILE SITTING PARKED IN MY DRIVEWAY.

NHTSA #11383204

OUR WINDSHIELD HAS CRACKED FOR NO APPARENT REASON. MY HUSBAND TOOK THE CAR OUT FOR LUNCH - NO DAMAGE. THEN HE WENT BACK OUT LATER THAT AFTERNOON AND THERE WAS A LARGE CRACK. EVEN IF SOMETHING HAPPENED TO HIT THE CAR (WHICH WOULD HAVE HAD TO BE SO MINOR THAT HE DIDN'T NOTICE), IT SHOULD NOT HAVE IMMEDIATELY CRACKED LIKE THIS. I HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCED ANYTHING LIKE THIS WITH ANY OTHER VEHICLE.

NHTSA #11383421

WAS TRAVELING DOWN A HIGHWAY WHEN A VEHICLE CHANGED LANES, SPRAYING A LITTLE BIT OF SAND ONTO THE WINDSHIELD. SUDDENLY MY WINDSHIELD DEVELOPED A 10 INCH "L" SHAPED CRACK, STARTING FROM THE LEFT EDGE OF THE WINDSHIELD (ABOUT HALF WAY UP) AND CONTINUED STRAIGHT ACROSS TOWARDS THE MIDDLE OF THE WINDSHIELD.

NHTSA #11378161

I RECENTLY BOUGHT A NEW 2020 SUBARU IMPREZA SPORT (BOUGHT AT 19 MI, CURRENT 1300 MI). VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY, PARKED OVERNIGHT, DURING A COLD NIGHT. THE NEXT MORNING AFTER DEFROSTING, I NOTICED A SMALL, 2' CRACK ORIGINATING FROM THE LOWER CENTER WINDSHIELD. UPON INSPECTION, THERE WAS NO MARK OF CONTACT BY DEBRIS. OVER THE COURSE OF THE DAY, THE CRACK GREW UP TO 10 INCHES. CONTACT MADE TO DEALERSHIP ABOUT DEFECT.

NHTSA #11378075

SMALL ROCK HIT THE WINDSHIELD AS BROKE VERY EASY. SEEING A LOT OF ISSUES WITH THE FRONT WINDSHIELD AND THEY ARE BREAKING EASY. COST $987.00 TO REPAIR. HAVE ALL RECEIPTS WILL PROVIDE IF NEEDED.

NHTSA #11376764

MY VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY AND OFF, PARKED AT MY HOME. AS I WAS GETTING READY TO GO TO WORK THAT AFTERNOON, I NOTICED A CRACK IN THE WINDSHIELD. THIS CRACK WAS NOT THERE AFTER I FINISHED RUNNING AN ERRAND THAT MORNING. IT HAD TO HAVE HAPPENED WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS NOT IN USE AND STATIONARY. THERE IS NO CRACK OR CHIP TO INDICATE ANY IMPACT WITH ANY EXTERNAL OBJECT. THE CRACK ORIGINATES AT THE BOTTOM CORNER WHERE THE WINDSHIELD MEETS THE FRAME OF THE VEHICLE. (PLEASE SEE ATTACHED PHOTO) THIS INDICATES TO ME, A FACTORY DEFECT. TO CLARIFY, I PLACED TAPE ON THE INSIDE OF THE WINDSHIELD TO MARK THE END OF THE CRACK. THIS IS NOT TO BE CONFUSED AS A CHIP OR MARK OF IMPACT.

NHTSA #11377129

A CRACK BEGAN AT THE TOP OF THE WINDSHIELD JUST AT THE MEETING OF THE ROOF. THERE WAS NO NOTICEABLE INDENTION OF MARK OF A OBJECT IMPACTING THE WINDSHIELD. IT WAS OBSERVED FIRST THING IN THE MORNING WHILE IN THE DRIVEWAY - NOT ON THE ROAD.

NHTSA #11365767

WINDSHIELD CRACKED ON TWO SEPARATE OCCASIONS

NHTSA #11372418

I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AND I LOOKED UP AND SAW THE CRACK START AT THE TOP OF THE WINDSHIELD. I PARKED IT IN THE GARAGE AND IT HAS GOTTEN WORSE SITTING IN MY GARAGE. I DIDN'T HIT ANY ROCKS OR ENCOUNTER ANY UNUSUAL DRIVING CONDITIONS.

NHTSA #11363595

THE FIRST CRACK OCCURRED SPONTANEOUSLY MID JULY 2020, STARTED ON THE PASSENGER SIDE WHILE DRIVING ON AN EXIT RAMP AT 40 MPH. MY PASSENGER NOTICE IT. I REPLACED THE WINDSHIELD ON 8/13/20. TODAY ( 10/5/20) THE WINDSHIELDED SPONTANEOUSLY CRACKED AGAIN... HEARD A "POP" AS I WAS DRIVING TO WORK ON A HIGHWAY AT 55MPH.

NHTSA #11362739

NHTSA #11340329

A CRACK APPEARED ON THE WINDSHIELD WHILE IT WAS PARKED SO THERE WAS NO IMPACT ON THE GLASS WHEN IT OCCURRED. *TR

NHTSA #11329453

WITH 7,000 MILES ON IT, ONLY A FEW MONTHS AFTER PURCHASE, MY WINDSHIELD CRACKED FOR NO APPARENT REASON. I'VE HEARD THIS IS VERY COMMON AND THERE IS A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT AGAINST SUBARU FOR IT. THE PATTERN IN WHICH MINE CRACKED IS SIMILAR TO WHAT OTHERS HAVE POSTED IN IMPREZA OWNERS FORUMS WHICH TELLS ME IT'S LIKELY A DEFECT AND NOT A TYPICAL CRACK.

NHTSA #11340897

I WAS SITTING IN MY CAR IN THE DRIVEWAY, HEARD A LOUD NOISE, AND A MOMENT LATER NOTICED THERE WAS A CRACK GOING FROM THE BOTTOM OF THE WINDSHIELD TO ABOUT HALF WAY UP. THERE WAS NO CAUSE AND THIS WAS JUST A CLEAN CRACK.

NHTSA #11318493

THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED IN JANUARY 2020 NEW FROM DEALER STOCK. IT HAS APPROXIMATELY 2000 MILES ON IT AND EXPERIENCED SPONTANEOUS WINDSHIELD CRACKS WITH NO INDICATION IT IS FROM SOMETHING STRIKING THE WINDSHIELD. CRACKS WERE DISCOVERED IN THE MORNING AFTER THE CAR WAS SITTING ALL NIGHT. THE DAY AFTER NOTICING THE FIRST CRACK, A SECOND CRACK DEVELOPED IN THE SAME MANNER AS THE FIRST, THE CAR WAS STATIONARY ALL NIGHT AND CRACK WAS DISCOVERED FIRST THING IN THE MORNING.

NHTSA #11317010

WINDSHIELD CRACKED FOR NO KNOW REASON. VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED NEW. WINDSHIELD CRACKED AT APPROXIMATELY 7,000 MILES. IT WAS A WARM DAY. GENUINE SUBARU SUN SHIELD WAS PLACED ON DASH TO KEEP HEAT OUT. WHEN I GOT INTO THE VEHICLE AND REMOVED THE SUN SHIELD THE WINDSHIELD WAS CRACKED.

THE VEHICLE IS ABOUT A MONTH OLD, I WAS DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY WHEN A TINY PIECE OF GRAVEL HIT MY WINDSHIELD RESULTING IN A CRACK ABOUT 10 INCHES IN LENGTH LOCATED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE PASSENGER AND DRIVER SEAT SECTION. I DIDN'T HAVE ANY HEATING ON AND IT WAS A SUNNY DAY

NHTSA #11292136

MY WINDSHIELD CRACKED IT ABOUT 2500 MILES. I WENT TO THE DEALER AND THEY SAID IT WAS A STONE CHIP HOWEVER I DIDN'T SEE ONE. A COUPLE OF WEEKS AGO AND IT CRACKED IN THE MIDDLE HORIZONTALLY JUST BELOW THE REARVIEW MIRROR. THE TWO CRACKS WERE NOT CONNECTED INITIALLY. HOWEVER I HIT A BUMP IN THE ROAD AND THEY DID CONNECT. THE CRACK GOES ALMOST ALL THE WAY ACROSS FROM ONE SIDE TO THE OTHER OF MY WINDSHIELD AT THIS POINT. *TR

NHTSA #11448474

A pebble hit the windshield while driving on the interstate highway which creating a roughly 12 inch crack starting in the upper passenger-side of the windshield. This is a problem the affects 2020 Subaru Imprezas and is a current class action law suit. It has not yet been inspected. And there were no prior warnings.

NHTSA #11419343

DRIVING AT 40 MPH WITHOUT HITTING A BUMP, AND WITHOUT A LIT "HOOD AJAR" WARNING LIGHT, THE CAR'S HOOD FLEW OPEN SMASHING THE WINDSHIELD AND OBSTRUCTING THE DRIVER'S VIEW. THIS OCCURRED WHEN THE VEHICLE ONLY HAD 10,022 MILES ON IT AND WAS LESS THAN 1 YEAR IN SERVICE. THE VEHICLE WAS ON A CITY STREET WITH NO OTHER TRAFFIC. VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO DEALER, UNDER DEALER'S PROTEST.

BOUGHT THE CAR 12/21 FIRST WINDSHIELD CRACKED 1/28 WHILE SITTING IN MY DRIVEWAY OVER THE WEEKEND. I DID NOT SEE OR HEAR ANYTHING IMPACT THE WINDSHIELD BUT I DID HERE THE GLASS CRACK. I FEEL THAT THESE WINDSHIELDS ARE UNREASONABLY FRAGILE AND SHOULD LAST LONGER THAN 9 DAYS UNDER NORMAL USAGE.

I HAVE NOW HAD 4 WINDSHIELDS CRACK AND BREAK AND NEED TO BE REPLACED. IT SEEMS LIKE EVERY TIME ONE LITTLE ROCK HITS THE WINDSHIELD BOOM ANOTHER FULL REPLACEMENT IS NEEDED. EVERY TIME I GO FOR A ROAD TRIP THIS KEEPS HAPPENING THE MUST BE A DEFECT WITH THE DESIGN OR TYPE OF GLASS USED FOR THE SUBARU IMPREZA 2020 MODELS.

NHTSA #11715092

I own a 2020 Impreza Hatchback with 18k miles. A significant crack appeared in the windshield out of nowhere, literally while parked in a safe environment. I was advised by Subaru corporate and my local dealership that this is not covered by warranty and would have to make a claim with my insurance. I can provide pictures and further detailed information if so required.

NHTSA #11468778

My windshield cracked straight up the middle for no apparent reason. This problem has been confirmed by numerous NHTSA complaints. Less than 12,000 miles. No rock hit my windshield but I hit a bump when it cracked. $470 to replace or pay my $2,000 deductible.

NHTSA #11516514

Passenger Air-bag igniter's wiring shorted out releasing gas into car. The windows were up and the car was not running. I was sitting in passenger side went to light my cigarette and with no warning at all KABOOM!!! Car exploded catching my hair on fire as well as 2nd and 3rd degree burns on hands and 1st and 2nd degree burns on face. The explosion carried so much force that the doors and back hatch were dented outward making it impossible to shut and lock doors properly. Explosion was so loud the people inside the bar thought a bomb had gone off. This incident was not reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or insurance company due to the fact the car was stolen directly after incident due to the fact that the doors could not shut properly. Prior to this incident no warning lights had gone off to indicate a malfunction in the passenger airbag or the wiring. I guess I was at the wrong place at the wrong time.

Allegedly reported: 1 injury (as reported to NHTSA). NHTSA #11585384

Service Brakes,Forward Collision Avoidance3 complaints

The Eye Sight warning system is activated occasionally and VDC is cut off. The dealer diagnosed code C1742, and recommended replacing the control unit due to a pressure sensor issue after measurement. The units are on back order, which indicates to me a wider spread problem. VDC units should not fail even after 10 years.

NHTSA #11684658

Electrical System,Engine1 complaint

On 3 separate occasions since I've had my car, it has powered off completely without warning while driving. This is very dangerous could cause a severe accident or death. I called a tow truck on 3 separate occasions (1/27/23; 2/26/24; 2/28/24) to take it to the dealer or car repair business. Then after 20 - 30 minutes, it starts up again like normal. This make of cars made in 2020 have recalls for this same problem except for the model I have. The maker of these cars are not responding to keep their customers safe and continue to lie about the problems these cars are having. They are poorly made and extremely unsafe.

NHTSA #11574727

Electrical System,Latches/Locks/Linkages1 complaint

Both rear doors will intermittently not open when unlocked from both the inside or the outside. I am unsure if this is electrical or related to the door components itself. This is a hazard because passengers have been locked in the back of the car, and needed to climb out from the front or needed me to open the door from the outside if it will open—which could be a deadly amount of extra time in an emergency situation where passengers need to quickly exit the vehicle. This issue has been going on over a year, but I did not take it in until two months ago because I rarely had back passengers. That has changed, so I took it in. I have brought the car to the dealership three times for this issue, which is as of now still unresolved, with the following results: 1st visit: They told me child lock was on and turned it off. (I do not believe this, as the doors would occasionally open correctly from the inside—so that would mean child lock is also faulty) 2nd visit: They found weak actuators in both doors and replaced them. 3rd visit: Currently still in the shop for other unrelated issues, but they are having a hard time diagnosing the cause since the doors will open for them—but the lady who checked me in experienced the door sticking with me, and she said she could tell something was wrong.

NHTSA #11603534

Service Brakes1 complaint

A loud rumbling noise and vibration occurs while braking at high speed. Braking force seems unaffected but the noise in concerning. Upon inspection and a test drive, Subaru confirmed the issued and noticed uneven brake pad wear on the front brakes and leakage in the front caliper. Subaru recommended replacement of front calipers, pads, and rotors. Subaru replaced pads and rotors. The noise continues to occur occassionally. Subaru is recommending replacement of front brake calipers but is unable to replace them due to a shortage. I am concerned the brakes or other components may fail due to unusual wear. No inspection by police or insurance has been completed. No warning lights occurred, only the noise and vibration during braking.

NHTSA #11536986

Electrical System1 complaint

The 2020 Subaru Impreza hatchback was purchased new from a Subaru dealer. Approximately, one year after purchase the vehicle started to exhibit hard starting. That is when the key is turned on the engine did not immediately turn over but there began an increased hesitation overtime before engine would turn over. It demonstrated issues of electrical problems. Finally, on March 24, 2022 the engine failed to turn over and we had to have the car towed to the original Subaru dealer. The tow truck driver attempted to turn the engine on but in his opinion, the starter was not working at all. As of the writing of this report we do not know the exact cause of issue nor do we expect to pay for any repairs or parts since the vehicle is still under warranty.

Tires1 complaint

P205/50R17 Driver side rear tire suddenly experiencing lots of pressure compared to others. Example 27.7 psi on a subject tire compared to 32.0 psi on others after approximately one week of garage storage. Upon inspection, tread separation/ visible cracking is visible on approximately 1/2 of the circumference of the tire. No warning lights from the vehicles tire pressure monitor system has activated and no trouble codes for that system or others are present, indicating the vehicle at least is not aware of a problem with the tire. Tire pressure sensor reports good battery, accurate pressure when compared to Tire gauge pressure, and reports temperature of approximately the ambient temperature (at the moment, is currently 57.0°F). Vehicle has been mostly garage kept since purchase due to Covid. Has experienced normal North Carolina Summer temperatures though recently within two weeks North Carolina has had some of the coldest weather in some time (Lows mid teens, highs low 30s). Manufacturer has been contacted and currently awaiting response. With my previous experience and knowledge in the automotive industry, it appears that the visible cracking on the tire is relatively new. The inner portions of the cracked area, for instance, are clean and free of any debris, dust or dirt.
