Below are recalls and complaints reported to NHTSA for the 2024 Lincoln Corsair. This information is consumer-reported and provided for general informational purposes only. Vehicles like this may qualify under California lemon law depending on their individual repair history.
The following recalls were reported to NHTSA. A recall does not by itself establish that any individual vehicle is defective.
Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2022-2026 Ford Escape and 2023-2026 Lincoln Corsair plug-in hybrid vehicles. A manufacturing defect in one or more of the high voltage battery cells may result in an internal short circuit and battery failure.
Reported consequence: Battery failure can cause a loss of drive power, increasing the risk of a crash. Battery failure can also increase the risk of a fire.
Remedy: The remedy is currently under development. Owners are advised to only use "Auto EV" mode and charge their vehicles to a maximum of 80% battery capacity until the repair has been completed. Interim letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, and instructions to limit the maximum charge of the battery were mailed February 26, 2026. Additional letters will be sent once the final remedy is available. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 25SC4. This recall expands previous recall numbers 24V954 and 25V489. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall became searchable on NHTSA.gov on February 18, 2026.
Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2021-2024 Bronco, F-150, 2021-2024 Edge, 2022-2025 Escape, F-250, F-350, F-450, F-550, F-600, 2022-2024 Expedition, 2022-2025 Transit, 2021-2023 Mach-E, 2024 Ranger, Mustang, 2021-2023 Lincoln Nautilus, 2022-2024 Navigator, and 2023-2024 Corsair vehicles. A software error may cause the rearview camera image to delay, freeze, or not display when the vehicle is in reverse.
Reported consequence: A frozen or missing rearview camera image can reduce the driver's view behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: The accessory protocol interface module (APIM) software will be updated by a dealer or through an over-the-air update, free of charge. This will be a phased campaign, with the remedy becoming available in different phases based on model and model years. Interim letters notifying owners of the safety risk were mailed on June 26, 2025. Additional letters will be mailed once the final remedy is available on each phase. Owner notification letters were sent on October 8, 2025. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 25S49.
Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2020-2025 Explorer, Lincoln Aviator, 2020-2024 Escape, Lincoln Corsair, 2018-2024 F-150, Expedition and Lincoln Navigator vehicles. The air bag warning label may be missing from the dashboard. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirement Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 208, "Occupant Crash Protection."
Reported consequence: Without a label that shows the proper restraint usage guidelines, the occupants may have an increased risk of injury in the event of a crash.
Remedy: Ford will mail owners the warning labels, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 19, 2024. Owners may call Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 24C39.

For the last three months, after the car sits for 12 hours or more, I get a "battery saver mode" on my phone and many of the online features won't work. Dealer measured the battery power on first visit - read 93 percent. Went to dealer a month later, battery read 59 percent. Dealer advised me to "drive the car more"! It takes 45 minutes to get to the dealer from our house, shouldn't have to drive longer than that. Something is draining the battery!

I have written before about this VIN not being included in campaign 24V954000 merely because it was manufactured in June 2024 and have gotten no substantive reply. Now that the software fix is ruled inadequate there is a 2nd recall, still not including my vehicle. I have had 2 events of not being able to charge the car yet the Ford dealership claims there is no faults found. Now with the car being less than a year old the range of a full charge has decreased from 30+ miles when new to now being in the low 20's. No doubt in mind due to the automatic software updates that Ford/Lincoln have made. What more evidence do you require to include my VIN and defective battery in your recall, to protect my safety and investment. Based on your previous Recall Number 24V954000 created December 20, 2024 I believe it needs to be expanded to my vehicle series. I will now be taking it into dealership for 3rd time because the system is not charging battery.

Impact with deer on I-79 in WV at 70mph Air bags did not deploy. I was not injured but had it been a vehicle I would have been. Not inspected or confirmed by anyone. No messages or warning before collision.

The Reatraints Control Module detects a fault in the driver side curtain airbag. This has happened multiple times and the Dealer has not been able to repair the problem. Dealer has tried to repair two times. Dealer will attempt to resolve issue a third time.

We took delivery of the vehicle in March 2025. The vehicle has never been involved in any accident or collision during our possession. • In April 2026, we discovered that the passenger-side rear brake light was no longer functioning. • Upon inspection, dealership personnel informed me that a small crack—approximately one inch in length—in the plastic housing of the driver-side rear turn signal allegedly allowed moisture intrusion that ultimately caused the passenger-side brake light failure. • I was further advised that the repair would not be covered under warranty and was presented with an estimate totaling $1,377.54 (copy enclosed). • The dealership speculated that the crack may have resulted from a minor parking-lot incident. However, no evidence was provided to establish either the cause of the crack or when it occurred. My concern is not merely the cost of the repair, although the quoted amount appears disproportionate to the nature of the issue. More importantly, the explanation provided raises serious concerns regarding the integrity and durability of the rear lighting assembly itself.

Since late 2024, we have received notification via the Lincoln mobile app that "certain vehicle features have been disabled to conserve battery life". Those made known via that notice were lack of ability to remotely lock/unlock the vehicle and also lack of ability to remote start the vehicle. Lincoln has read on several occasions the battery charge ranging from 50% to 62% while sharing that the battery charge should be at 80%...recommending via the app and verbally via phone communication, to drive the vehicle for 30 miles (10 on the highway) to charge the vehicle to the 80% threshold (like what?). The vehicle was taken a Lincoln dealer who was asked to diagnose the low charge on the battery and we were told the battery was fine. On 1/28/25 we received notice that we were given a software update (10.1.1) that was meant to enhance connectivity and conserve battery health, validating that Lincoln knows they have a problem. Since that update, the "Lincoln Welcome" feature aka "Lincoln Embrace" was disabled when the battery charge % as read by Lincoln was at 57%. This feature is both SAFETY and SECURITY related and a contributing factor as to why we selected Lincoln. The feature is meant to recognize our approach to the vehicle via the key fob and illuminate the inside and outside of the vehicle to allow us to see if any form of predator is inside the vehicle our outside around the perimeter. As senior citizens that live in one of the highest crime rate cities in the country, this feature is critical to us and we have chosen not to drive the car at night until this is addressed. A complete breakdown in trust

The contact owned a 2024 Lincoln Corsair. The contact stated that while driving 35-40 MPH, the contact noticed that another vehicle driving approximately 60 MPH crashed into the vehicle directly behind the contact's vehicle, and then crashed into the contact's vehicle. The contact's face hit the steering wheel. The contact stated that the seat belt restraint system only engaged after the contact's face had already hit the steering wheel. The seat belt then became significantly tight, causing the contact to experience difficulty breathing. The air bags did not deploy. The contact might have been knocked unconscious. The contact felt that her jaw had moved, and the contact's mouth was bleeding. The contact was assisted out of the seat belt and the vehicle, and the contact was taken to the hospital trauma unit by EMT. A CT scan was performed. The contact was informed that the right jaw was fractured and displaced from the nose to the end of the jaw. The contact was also informed that she had sustained a cardiac contusion as the heart muscle was damaged. The rear of the vehicle was significantly damaged. The contact could not recall whether there were warning lights illuminated after the crash. The vehicle was towed and totaled by the insurance company. A police report was filed; however, the contact stated that the police report inaccurately stated that the air bags in all three vehicles had deployed. The dealer and the manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 8,000.
Allegedly reported: 1 injury (as reported to NHTSA). NHTSA #11721806
I have noticed that when the battery is lower than 85% available power sensor effectiveness is greatly reduced. This is noticed with vehicle going into remote battery saver mode and the Auto Start/Stop function ceases to function. This also greatly reduces front collision, rear cross traffic and pedestrian rear cross traffic warning especially. This is apparently due to a battery drain if any USB items are left plugged in. But after six month review on my second battery it is more apparent that the Corsair has an electrical parasitic drainage problem that adds to the problem. The fix by company is to drive the vehicle every day, which is not a practical option. I have used high end battery tester to prove my point and willing to spare it. The testing was conducted with all USB electrical ports disconnected and random battery testing conducted. I have included a log and will send photos of the battery tests if requested.

The contact owns a 2024 Lincoln Corsair. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the front, rear, and side sensors became inoperable. The contact stated that none of the sensors functioned properly and failed to provide alerts whenever another vehicle was nearby. The contact expressed concerns that the failure of the sensor systems posed a significant safety hazard. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, but was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 5,000.

The contact owns a 2024 Lincoln Corsair. The contact stated that upon attempting to purchase the brand-new vehicle on September 1, 2025, the dealer informed the contact that the vehicle was on a Stop Sale because the VIN was included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V315000 (Back Over Prevention). The contact was later contacted by the dealer and was advised that the recall repair was completed, and the vehicle could be purchased. The contact purchased the vehicle on [XXX], and picked up the vehicle three days later. The contact later received a recall notification from the Mobile App, a week after picking up the vehicle from the dealer. The dealer was contacted and confirmed that the recall repair had not been performed prior to the purchase and delivery of the vehicle. The dealer offered to pick up the vehicle to complete the recall repair; however, the contact declined. The vehicle was taken to Gordie Boucher Lincoln of West Allis (3161 S 108th St, West Allis, WI 53227); where the recall repair was performed. Upon reading the dealer's reviews online, the contact became aware that it was common for the dealer to provide false information to mislead consumers. The manufacturer was not yet notified of the issue. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Reference is made to Recall 24V954000 For PHEV Corsairs made through April 2024. Mine was built in June 2024, bought in Dec 2024, stopped being able to be charged via 240V power in July and will not be addressed by Ford and the dealer as it is not included in the recall. To date the OEM adapter for charging with 120 V and the charging cord have been demonstrated to be not at fault and my suspicion is that the battery needs to be replace. A simple software update and test would address the safety of the battery being charged even with 120V power. Please, revise or issue a recall to include all built after October 24, 2019

Since [XXX], I had my new car for five months and began receiving pre-collision assist not available and park aid malfunction. I have been receiving these since March. I took it into the dealer and they said that there would be a software update by May 1, 2025, this is the middle of June. I contacted them again around the first of June and the dealer told me the Software Updates would be available by the middle of June. This is a very dangerous situation because I do not have line assist and I don’t have any cruise. I feel like no one is listening to me since I still do not have the Software Updates and cannot use those functions on my new car. When this first occurred, my car threw on the brakes and sped up by itself. I need someone to listen. [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

When I am backing out of my garage, the emergency brake activates. And my information screen is black, the volume goes up and down, and sometimes it does not connect to my cell phone.

The Corsair menu includes a Pre-Collision Assistance (PCA) option that controls Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) and a Distance Indication icon (DA) in the display. The AEB and DA have not functioned at all since we bought the car (08/10/2024). A dealer has had the Corsair 3 times for a total of 12 days and has not fixed the problem. In fact the dealer has stated: "Customer should not expect the car to stop". Neither the display nor touch screen have posted any messages or warnings. The last time for 9 days we had a loaner Corsair. Neither the AEB nor the DA functioned.

Since we purchased the vehicle new, the Sync Touch Screen can take several minutes to come on line and as a result all camera features are disabled and this is a safety issue. We have had frightening experiences when trying to back up in a parking lot of our own driveway with the camera's being displayed on the screen. This has been reported to Lincoln/Ford Motor company on at least (4) occurrences since April 8, 2024. In one discussion the Ford Field Service engineer to me that it gets hot in the south and computers run slow ????? I still am not certain if that was an attempt at a joke. It's not funny, it's dangerous
