Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Jaguar) is recalling certain 2021-2024 E-Pace vehicles. The passenger air bag may tear during deployment.
Reported consequence: A torn air bag may not adequately protect an occupant in a crash, increasing the risk of injury. Additionally, a torn air bag may allow hot gases to escape, which can cause a burn injury.
Remedy: Dealers will replace the passenger air bag module, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed February 6, 2026. Owners may contact Jaguar's customer service at 1-800-452-4827. Jaguar's number for this recall is H552.
Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Jaguar) is recalling certain 2021-2024 E-Pace vehicles. The brake pad wear warning light may not appear on the instrument cluster as intended, failing to warn the driver that the brake pads are worn out. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 135, "Light Vehicle Brake Systems."
Reported consequence: Driving with worn brake pads can reduce braking ability, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will update the car configuration file software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 7, 2024. Owners may contact Jaguar customer service at 1-800-452-4827. Jaguar's number for this recall is H481.
The following are consumer-reported complaints filed with NHTSA. These are unverified allegations and are not proof that any defect exists.
The contact owns a 2024 Jaguar E-Pace. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the battery fault warning light illuminated. The contact stated that the battery did not disconnect or charge. The vehicle was towed to the dealer. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or the dealer. The contact stated that the vehicle had been towed to the dealer several times due to the failure. The contact stated that the battery and the wiring harness had been replaced; however, the failure persisted. In addition, the contact stated that on several occasions during the failure her small grandchildren were inside the vehicle and had to sit in the vehicle on the side of the road in the dark. The contact stated that during one failure she sat in a dark parking lot for hours while waiting on a tow truck. The contact stated that she was afraid to drive the vehicle. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 8,500. The VIN was unavailable.
