General Motors, LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Chevrolet Corvette vehicles. The driver and/or passenger seat belt retractors may lock in a stowed position and become inaccessible to occupants.
Reported consequence: An inaccessible seat belt that cannot restrain an occupant, increases the risk of injury in a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will replace the driver and/or passenger seat belt retractors, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 19, 2024. Owners may contact Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020. GM's number for this recall is N242441390.

The contact stated that upon parking and turning off the vehicle, the contact noticed that the radio, the infotainment screen, and the instrument cluster had failed to turn off. The contact owns a 2024 Chevrolet Corvette. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V418000 (Seat Belts) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was contacted and confirmed that parts we | seat belt fully retracted and could not be released in first day. had to drive 155 miles without operating seatbelt. this is a safety issue. My build date was 9/22 if you look at the forums this was not the only car built that day with a failed seat
